This is obviously a TPOB sponsored video. I'm gonna pick up a pair of the TPOB Play simply because I see that it's pretty much a JRL 2020C, my favorite clipper.
@Jayblends with how you presented the video there should've definitely been a sponsorship. First by taping off the competitors brands, then to not say their names the whole video, just the TPOB Play. When I get a pair I'll take apart a pair of my JRL's and the the TPOB Play to see their internals. From everything I've read and videos on them looks and sound similar from the internal click lever, the 2 speed with same rpms. Motor sound, the same MIM Faper blades with oil reservoirs. Even down to "ACME" being on both clippers.
@otpays8552 you can find a teardown of both the JRL 2020C and TPOB Play, they're virtually identical besides the rpm on the 2020C. The Onyx and I'm sure the Ghost both have the updated 7500 rpm motor.
So for some strange reason Amazon keeps sending me Krazy blades disassembled and I can’t figure out how to install the spring with the 2 thongs that go into the cam follower. Is there a tutorial on here?

Never tried the play but I would choose that one over the others. JRL may have a unique appearance but I would rather cut half the cost. If I want even to cut down more I’ll get the Madeshow G9c. Babyliss are too basic and the only thing I like from them are the trimmers. Wahl is so outdated and the only thing good is the staggertooth cutting blade. Sponsored or not, the play seems to be the best bang for your buck.
@@eddieworkman5855 I’ve used all models of the 2020 clipper from JRL. I genuinely have not felt the difference in all three. The All perform good but feel the same. The play just trumps it in branding, price, accessories, shape, ergonomics & it seems quieter.

It's not the same clipper first off. It's much more similar to the JRL Onyx. Tpob doesn't hide the fact that his clippers are made in the same factories as JRL, Madeshow, SC, etc. He just sells them for half what SC does. And the all metal brushless newest Madeshows are only slightly cheaper than tpob but you have to buy them directly from China. Lastly r77 is an awesome clipper anyway so idk what your point is honestly.
@@spizzlo I have the R77F and my colleague has the Play. I can say that the only difference between the two clippers is the blade and the ergonomics. Otherwise, they are practically identical: same RPM, same battery, same click lever, and the same 6.5W.
The new Madeshow is the most similar to the Onyx, but it has the issue of very poor ergonomics. But for the price of the Play, you can buy the new clipper and trimmer from Madeshow, which are 120€, the same as the ones from JRL.
@@nelsonmonteiro3795 that's my bad, I thought thought the Play had a brushless motor. But Nelson come on man, the blade, the ergonomics, the charging dock? Those aren't insignificant features. Many barbers won't use clippers that don't feel good in the hand and don't have a charging stand, and the blade isn't a non-factor either. And yeah you can save a few bucks buying directly from China, but not everyone wants to do that. And what if you have a problem with your r77? Are you calling up Madeshow at 2pm? It's not a fair comparison.
