You are unbelievable, Olivio. Your videos make understanding and using Affinity much easier.
Just when I get the mask down - there's Alt + Mask. My mind is blown. So much to learn. Thank you!
A miracle on our screen today, thanks to Olivio for this little marvel of tutorial, it's great, very very great.
IMHO you get a better starting point when you open the different images via File > New Stack. You then get also an "Align Images" option. Good for tripod micro movements - or specially for when no tripod is used. You still get each individual layer as image. You also have an "Outliner" option to show all moving objects, could be useful for a boring party or make a group of flying birds more dramatic.
This said, it will not remove the street signs, which you did brilliantly - and which you can still do when importing stacked image sets.
Great tutorial Olivio, clever but simple. Thank you.
Brilliant.....one of the best Affinity teachers on youtube 👍
hi Olivio, it's always kind of people to share their experience and allow others to benefit from that. So thank you for doing that.
Since I am not an Affinity geek, just a very basic beginner, I would have enjoyed though if you would have started from a blank sheet. How did you get these 3 photos in there, what is the right hand side bar anyway? basic stuff like this would have made the video understandable for me. just a few words or link to another more basic tutorial would have been helpful, at least for me.
anyway, again thanks for your efforts and sharing. I do appreciate that.
that's a good point. thank you. use "file -> place"
85mm. I just love the seperation from the background as well as how it renders the images. It's very flattering on people
i love my 85mm too :)
Great video - remember the stack functionaly which is also VERY useful
Brilliant! 3 great tips for the price of one too! Thank you for sharing.
This was fantastic. I especially liked the later part of removing the sign. Brilliant. Thanks Olivio.
So many tips in one short video. Really useful _once I get it all in my head :-). Thank you Olivio
HI Olivio Love your tutorials
Great video - thanks Olivio. Re the first section (removing people and cars), you could also use Affinity's Live Stacking using the Median operator - it's even faster and automatically aligns the images (so you can hand hold the camera rather than using a tripod, which is not always possible in popular tourist areas).
Yes, but median only works sometimes and you need more images. in this case with only 3 images i didn't get usable results from it. but i will do a video on median removal too soon :)
Great tricks! Thank you Olivio, as usual 😊
Amazing Tuto!!! Thanks Olivio!!! 💚💚
That alt trick is really amazing !!! And as usual I hit the like button before watching the video because I’m sure of the amazing contents of your videos
Amazing! Thank you so much Olivio! 🙏
Great video. Learned a lot more about masking. Loved that last trick to remove the sign. I probably would have trying cloning out the sign. Now I have a new trick learned.
Breathless!!!! You are amazing!!!! 😍👏👏👏
Thank you :)
another good one; the same process can be used to manual merge exposure bracketed files and even focus stacking . Manual seems more natural than HDR apps do it; but they are getting better
Shadows can often be the undoing of rotating files or layers
so many good tips in one short video, well done
You my friend are a true rock star.
Thanks! Cool!!!
Just today I was looking for this method of treatment !!!
Really cool use of common tools to perform "magic" -- thanks!
Your videos are very educational!
my fav focal length is the prime 35mm used in combination with full frame. It give you some more view then a 50mm which is be said the closest to the human eye.
35mm is very nice and it adds some dynamic through the optical distortion :)
love it ! Many thanks ! My favorite lens : wide angle (fuji 10-24) and portrait lens
Nice, i love a good wide angle lens too :)
Thanks i understand many things in this video
Amazing! Thank You!
Very good and instructive video
Excellent work thanks
WOW! Fantastic!
Great video as usual, thanks Olivio ! And my favourite lens, as landscape photographer, is wide angle (normally I use a Canon EF 24/70 F4 L)
Another option is to stack the photos and use the Median opparation.
Yes, but that only works sometimes and in this case not really
One of the best vids - thank you.
I'm using mostly the 300mm on airshows.
awesome! i have never been to a airshow
Cool ideas. Thank you
Awesome!!
Just WOW!
So great. Again something learned. Thank you so much Olivio!!! This function alt&mask can be used for other steps to, not only removing things? Would be also interesting to know. Maybe another tutorial? This already helped me a lot!👌👍
really amazing
Nice quick informative lesson. I do lots of 360s so my favorite lens is an 8mm fisheye on Fuji x-t3.
360 i pretty cool. Just the resolution should be a lot higher, at least with the insta360 i had for a while
I love how Affinity Photo's rotation tool works. Especially with the clone tool. Its better than photoshops.
that's one of my favorite functions too :)
I knew most of these but didnt know about the radius on the clone brush😅 THANKS!
Amazing explanation!
Watching this for the second or third time now. My mind is still blown at how AF can do such amazing things!
Impressive tutorial! I actually don’t have a favorite focal length as I shoot from multiple lengths in each shoot depending on the concept (35-200mm)!
Thank you. Being comfortable with all focal lengths is awesome too :)
Brilliant!
My pleasure 🙂👍
Just like magic. I am a big fan of 23mm, and 35.
Yet another great video. Fav focal length, anything telephoto, favourite lens on my Canon M50 is the 18-150 followed by the 70-300
those are nice rages. i suppose you are a travel photographer :)
@@OlivioSarikas I wish, live near Sherwood Forest (Robin Hood etc) in the UK, so lots of woodland and birdlife when I can get out. On holiday, just take the 18-150 and a compact Panasonic TZ80 which has 24-500mm FFE zoom.
@@cpnock that sounds so cool. i need to get more into nature too
Great tips. Thanks. 50 mm equivalent lens.
like 85mm? :)
Billiant Tutorial. I do have a question. How do I insert 3 pictures ? When I open a picture, and then another one, it removes the first picture
Thanks for your answer but when make that you lets in video i can not see the image only a trasparent
I'm not sure what you mean by that
Loved the last trick - so much easier than completely cloning away the foreground sign. So the tip is... always photograph symmetrical buildings! 😉 Thanks for some great techniques.
Brilliant¡¡
thank you :)
Very nice! I will definitely be using these techniques.
whitch key is the alt on windows the same on mac?
you can find them all here: shortcuts.design/toolspage-affinityphoto.html
Great tutorial. Quick question, since my prior comment seems missing, why not use stacks with the median calculation? Affinity does this very well.
yes, that can be done too, but it doesn't always work. I will do a tuto on that too
@@OlivioSarikas Thanks. I have seen it done with PS, but I do not use any Adobe stuff and since Affinity has the same funtionality it would be nice to share!
My favourite focal length is 600mm. I take a lot of nature photos.
holy lens range. that's a big one. I'm impressed :)
Good tutorial, Olivio, but wouldn't it be quicker to erase car and people by using the photo stack function from Affinity ? I think by using the mean or average function this may also be possible, right ? Has your technique a better benefit as the one already integrated in Affinity ?
Sorry Olivio, I didn't check the other comments and the question has been already answered :-)
PS did it automatically without brush mask by mask.
can this be done with stacking when importing?
that's possible, but it doesn't always work
Hello Olivio! Hope your mum goes well and you're doing ok! I'm here stuck on what I imagine is a simple step - how do you get all the images appearing under Layers. I have opened several images of the same but they appear as sinle folders!
Thank you. you need to place them in your canvas with "file -> place", than align them all, so they sit at the exact same spot
@@OlivioSarikas ah! Should have worked that out! Thanks for the reply! I’ll keep on practicing! 😀
i like my 100-400 ii because i shoot a lot of aviation and birds
Fuji XF 18-55 - Covers a lot of situations
nice :)
try the 16-80 f4 which recently became available. I wish though that it had been available when I first got the X T20 as then I could have saved on another 3 lenses and could then afford a taco for Olivio lol.
@@phlotographer I have Fujinon Telephoto XF55-200mm F3.5-4.8 R LM and the Fujinon XF60mm F2.4 R Macro , so fairly well covered. I have eyesight problems now, so probably done buying lenses now. But ta for the info!
300mm is equal to 450mm with my sensor. I love magnifying
nice! nature or architecture details? or maybe something else
105mm Nikon prime
alien fan greets u🙂
White man's magic!!!!
*Can you not do this with single photos?*
yes, in photoshop with AI
@@OlivioSarikas *I tried multiple ways the way you was doing Olivio and just wasn’t working for one photo.*
@@OlivioSarikas *I will try PS.* *Thanks.*
I got lost half way through......easier to wait until no traffic or people are in the shot lol
