As a gen z im so happy my mother isn’t a sad beige mom. She loves color and it’s honestly good we have color in our house bc i do have two younger brothers and they are always so excited for the holidays bc it just means more color, more pretty and nice colors for us to see not some sad neutral colors. Im so thankful for the mom i have
and then when you watch Home Alone and realize the ENTIRE HOUSE is green and red down to the last detail! the wallpapers, every bit of decor, towels, bedsheets, even the family' clothing!!! **cries in sad beige**
I became an old lady last year and bought decorations for my bathroom, complete with a Christmas shower curtain and matching red rugs 😂 My daughter in law was so tickled by it that I might go full on granny and buy Christmas bedding for the guest room too.
Gorgeous colour scheme! My mom did blue either gold and silver, but we also each had a special ornament (whichever one we wanted) that always went on the tree too. She had ornaments for each pet as well, and the pets each got a stocking too, filled with toys and treats from “Santa paws.” She didn’t care how “tacky” it was, it was happy. Mom made Christmas awesome!
As a goth with a black tree, my kids love cover it in both colourful and hallmark ornaments. Christmas is for them, and my favourite part of the season is seeing all their joy.
Christmas is best with vivid, rich colors everywhere. Rich velvet reds, sparkling emerald greens, flashing silvers, deep azures and purples and warm yellows should abound. Yes to bubble gums pink and patterns galore. Bright Christmas lights bring a smile to everyone but the most dedicated Grinch.
A comment in another video said "Rich people have two modes of decoration, Anxiety Induced Minimalism and Fancy Hoarding" and I can't stop noticing it.
Ironically I'm of the opinion it's not even rich people. It's "financially comfortable unless they stop working or one gets sick, but we need to seem rich to the outside world for some reason" people. They decorate everything themselves. Most actual rich people - especially those not on social media - just hire a bunch of decoration and let others decorate their house and garden and it's often grandiose but fantastic and colourful.
We have a fake tree (I kinda regret asking for it since I love going to the tree farm to get a real one) and it has pretty white snow dust on it! We put ACTUAL Christmas colors on it. Not weird beige colors >:[
Shades of foundation…I don’t know whether to laugh or cry because it’s true. I love the bright colors of Christmas; that’s a huge part of what makes the whole season magical for me.
My boyfriend and i have a black Christmas tree because we're goth, but it has purple and blue decorations all over it. Who new a goth would be more colorful.
These decorations remind me of that episode of The Amazing World of Gumball where everybody forgets it's Nicole and Richards' anniversary so they throw a neutral beige party because they don't know what they're supposed to be celebrating.
"beige, the Wednesday of colors, it's there and not at the same time" (idk if I wrote that right I'm spanish and mentally translating the phrase) They also remind me of the song "SAD" by Lemon Demon, it gives me the same vibes of "depressing christmas season"
@@aynohalopesdealmeida9932 lo deprimente es que esa estética de mierda puede terminar causando el SAD , literalmente te hace sentir deprimido por las navidades
These beige decorations literally look like craft supplies. In fact I’m sure you could take most of them and paint/adorn them to make them bearable to look at
6:02 What messes me up about the reindeer is that they don’t even come in BROWN. You know… the color that they are that also just so happens to fit the sad beige aesthetic.
Most people don't even realize that some of those items are available in CRAFT STORES for a reason. Even if they aren't meant to be modified, they're still meant to be modified. They all have potential, but not to the bland beige mind with no potential to make it better (WITH SOME DAMN COLOR)
I bought an unfinished nutcracker and this Sunday I painted it jewel tone base and I'll be painting designs on top of the jewel tones. My tree is a cypress with gators in sweaters, crawfish and bright glass ornaments with gingerbread men. Christmas needs gaudy color.
and these companys are more than happier to comply to this 'trend' because they dont have to paint them and spend that extra money to finish the products
All of these beige 'decorations' look fun to paint on as a holiday activity for kids or adults who love to be creative, so that's one perk to this sad beige stuff going on
yup! it’s fun to paint on wooden decorations as an artist. these shouldn’t be this much though.. it’s just wood carved. i do love white, but that just works on either lighting or the arctic. it shouldn’t be everywhere or literally nothing will stand out. i hate how nothing stands out or is different in these beige trends.
While some people do use some of these beige items for Christmas decor, they appear to be more inspired by Yule. Scandinavian decor has become rather popular in recent years. Hygge or “cozy” aesthetic embraces neutrals. The bright, colorful Christmas we know today came about in more recent years with the mass marketing of Christmas. Historically, Christmas decor would have been much more natural/handmade and subdued in comparison. I personally love seeing all the different ways people decorate this time of year, and it’s kinda neat to live in an age with so many options. Happy Holidays!!
Yeah, I personally prefer having SOME color for Christmas... but I'm actually thinking of doing the Scandinavian theme next year because I just love how natural and earthy it is. There's definitely ways to use neutrals while still being very Christmas-y. Not sure why this upsets people so much lol...I love seeing all the different ways people choose to decorate for the holidays too.
@@Cec9e13A meme has recently been going around of a blue-tinted image of the grinch with the caption “That feeling when knee surgery is tomorrow” The meme has no meaning, as it is basically just nonsense.
In my opinion, Christmas is really probably one of the most colorful holidays and the colors are probably one of the most nostalgic parts of Christmas because I know that when I look at a green tree with all sorts of colors on it. I think to myself that it’s a Christmas tree but looking at just a white Christmas tree with like just white ornaments. It just looks like a regular decoration. I’m so glad that my mom didn’t take this lazy route and chose classic Christmas. Classic Christmas is honestly the best.
I actually think some muted/neutral options are really nice to mix in with the more colorful stuff- but the aisles of completely washed out options are depressing
Exactly, especially if the decoration is done really nicely and it doesn't just look like an unfinished decoration. I'd like some of the things shown in the video to add to my very colorful tree and on my shelves for Christmas, but I do think you shouldn't overuse them and that they can be ridiculously expensive.
Absolutely. I mean, ginger bread cookies are brown, right? But then they have those gum drops and candies stuck to 'em. Start with beige, sure, but then add some color. I imagine some of those plain beige tree-shaped decorations would look good with stripes of color radiating from the top, a different shade of each color at each tier of the tree. Having decorative pine cones? Sure... But then add fake holly berries between those wood-petal thingies and sprinkle some gold glitter on 'em. Plain brown stick table-wreaths? Put red candles in 'em on gold holders. It's a lot like cooking. Rice on its own is pretty boring, but a mouthful of curry powder isn't pleasant either- which is why you put 'em together instead of only eating one or the other. You use the neutrals as a base ingredient, and you season it up with colors.
My family has been re-using the same fake Christmas tree and ordainments since I was a baby. And I am betting that the nostalgic ornaments and our 17+ year old tree, paired with my Nana's outdoor decorations of Santa, Rudolph and Frosty the Snowman (that have broken lights), fits the Christmas spirit more than any store selling "Christmas" items
That's what I prefer best - a tree filled with meaning! Our tree has my partner's grandma's and my own grandma's christmas ornaments (you bet they look vintage), as well as few meaningful ornaments here and there. I much more prefer our sturdy, traditional, colorful vintage decorations than those bland items 💞
My mom gave us an ornament each year growing up so when we got married we had a whole set of random memories to start with! I’ve done it with my children and now my grandchildren. It’s so much fun each year to look at them all over again.
Same, we’ve gotten new ornaments over time as the old ones break but it’s the same old tree, plus really interesting going through the bag while decorating to to realise when you got each one
@@NunyaNomiyeah my nana still does that with all her grandkids. Apparently one year she was considering not doing it because we were getting older and we were all like “NO!!” 🤣 dw we still have that tradition 🥰
I do like white lights on the Christmas tree. Colored lights overwhelmed my ornaments, IMO. I like showing off my colorful collection of ornaments. And I like the glow of the white lights. Similar to the glow of candles on the tree during the Victorian era. (Fire hazard, of course.)
I think with white and clear, they're trying to signify ice and snow, but the neutrals are going a little overboard. I know the wooden nutcracker is supposed to be a paint your own set because I stock those at work; they just aren't using them as intended.
Yeah, some of those decorations are clearly meant to be more "cozy" or invoke feelings of snow and ice. The gold definitely makes me think of Christmas. It's like the most common metal color used.
+1. I’m a white Christmas lights girlie, and for me, they’re sparkling snow and twinkling stars. My Christmas decorating style is whimsical AF, though. Think like those sticks you stick in a tree twisted in spirals or with balls on the end with a polka dot and/or striped ribbon garland, all in bright red and green.
I was never even able to get a Christmas tree, getting a Christmas tree with lots of decor and color and gingerbread ornaments and more colorful silly things to decorate a tree was my fucking childhood dream. Seeing people with plenty of space in their home, plenty of money to spend, buy neutral trees and ugly brown baubles makes me internally die.
@ I know I just wanna die by now. I am not fine, and I hate these sad beige moms. Even though I’m probably never gonna get kids if I had kids, I’d make the house the most colorful thing ever.
Honestly, I could work with the wooden decor. Obviously not like the boring ones lmao but if you paired those wooden bells and sculptures with some nice rich greens, reds, golds, ribbons…it could come out real nice! But yeah I hate the bland stuff 😭
Hell even the bare wood would look nice as long as it had a nice bright backdrop top go with. Like those bells would work really well on a lovely green wreath or with rich red ribbons.
i agree and I feel like all this “it won’t even be christmas next year 😢😭” crap is dramatic. This Holiday is about celebrating *CHRIST* and giving presents. What other people do won’t affect you. 🤷🏼♀️
@ to be completely fair, Christmas is very closely entwined with vibrant colors and that packed, homely atmosphere yknow? To me at least as someone who’s not religious, i love it for that and the family feelings. I get your point completely, but i also completely get hers 😞
I wonder if some of these sad beige parents don’t actually like any of this stuff, but they’re pretending they do, because they think that’s what adults do, and they’re terrified of being perceived as childish, and now they’re resentful of normal people for still being able to experience joy, so they’re trying to ruin it for everyone.
my aunt has a sad beige house, but i have NEVER seen sad beige christmas decor, and she goes all out with inflatables indoors and color everywhere, and it look 10x better than any of these decorations shown in the video. 😭
The only good thing about white decorations it it’s easy to use as a Bose for coloring. I don’t celebrate Christmas but if I did and I were a parent, I would get the white ornaments and let my kids paint over it for custom ornaments. Maybe a bit messy, but it’s worth it to have fun
Not to mention the fact that Christmas is mainly for CHILDREN smh some of these families with the multi colored lights are doing it to make their kids happy.
I like the beige aesthetic as an 11 year old boy, but Christmas is a holiday,it should be colorful and happy, not beige because the neutral tones aren't fun for everybody.
I mean yes, and i do get the slight rage at parents who force the beige onto their kids, but can anyone else here see how this could easily make the opposite true for single people with no kids who dont plan on traveling anywhere for the holidays (no live parents, poor relationships with them, etc). Im just losing my mind a little at the zero percent tolerance for boring decor here i wasnt ready for it lmaooo
When I was a kid it was all about the cozy and colourful vibe. Colourful lights, tinsel, tacky Christmas decorations and wrapping paper. Every December me and my siblings used to make Christmas tree decorations that looking back where hideous but my parents loved them and put them on the tree. It was magical and I can’t imagine how sad these kids must feel to have everything so bland for the sake of their parents “aesthetic”
This actually makes me sad. When I was a child decorating was one of my favourite parts of the whole season. I loved the colour, I loved the glitter but our christmas tree ornaments were my favourite. We had Disney themed ornaments, lots of cute animals but my favourite ornament was always a shooting star. It was always the first ornament that I would put onto the tree and year for year I was looking foward to see the shooting star again. I cannot imagine being a kid and the decorating process looking...like this.
Oh my god that sounds so cute! I was planing to crochet a few ornaments this year and I might steal the name idea. Depends on whether I can embroider the names to my liking ^^'
@NighttimeInDeepSpace I think there was a small misunderstanding. My sadness does not stem from other adults having this sad beige aesthetic. I will admit though that it is my personal definition of hell. My sadness stems more from the kids whose parents force the sad beige aesthetic on them or are not able to be mature about their kids preferences (like the mother who made this fake gagging noises at the lights with colours). This comes from my own personal experience since I used to work with children in the past but whenever we did arts and crafts they were drawn to bright colours, glitter, shiny beads and craft stones (I have yet to meet a child whose favourite colour is beige). These are things you find more or less in traditional christmas decorations as opposed to the things that were shown in this video. And if you are a parent your own beige aesthetic has to take a backseat and you have to consider you kids preferences without judgement as well. You don't have to say yes to everything but it's always a nice moment to teach your kids how to compromise and let them now that their opinion also matters. I don't know how much cultural differences matter here but my parents always involved me in this process. I helped with the tree, they let me decided where some decorations should go and when we needed to buy something new they always asked for my opinion. It was similar with my friends and their experience. It resulted in us getting these huge blue christmas lights in the shape of stars. As an adult I find them ugly and I prefer these more delicate white lights but ten year old me loved the stars so my parents decided to get them. It is nothing permanent depending on when you start decorating it is only for one month or two if you start very early so it should be no problem to have some of your childrens taste reflected in your christmas decorations. It makes me sad when *this* does not happen.
im an artist who primarily draws in black and white but even I wouldn't make christmas art dull and black and white. color brings out the life and joy of christmas, even if its just in an art piece. the fact that people do this shit is INSANE
Same! I honestly would use black and white to use for the Nightmare before Christmas theme and then add a splash of color as I love the movie and theme. ❤😊
@@Surgethetenrec3701 same it depends on the individuals and families. Some people do get overwhelmed and over stimulated by too much color and lights, not to mention medical conditions such as epilepsy which is very understandable to have a limited color palette and theme. I myself may not have it but i do feel abit overwhelmed with certain types of core.
@@grimphantom99insaneenderma85It’s actually been proven that having at least a little vibrant color is important for child-development and increases their happiness. I think if you don’t have kids then decorate however you like, but if someone has young kids and insists on a completely “sad beige” household just because it’s “aesthetic”, that’s actually super selfish. Though as someone who struggles with anxiety a bit more than the average person, I do understand what you’re saying about overstimulation. I enjoy vibrant colors, but when it comes to a living space I’ll be spending most of my time, I prefer more neutrals most of the time. Not all neutral (cause that’s just too boring and sad for me), but a good amount. It calms me down faster. But for the holidays, I prefer the typical vibrant holiday colors, as I love to be surrounded with the holiday spirit. The neutrals don’t really do that for me.
@@Hummingbird14-ff6de totally agree children need color for brain development and it's certainly not fair to deprive them of that not to mention I get so sad seeing kids with parents who ruin their toys with their own aesthetic it's disgusting like the baby toy situation like why!
This all started last December when that mom on TikTok "beigeified" her two-year-old daughter's Step 2 Christmas tree toy, I still will never forgive her for doing that.
True. Sad Beige was ruined by influencers. Sad Beige at first was supposed to be a protest against Plastic toys and chemicals for kids/todlers. There were ton of colourful toys made out of wood and painted with natural friendly colours. They weren't that bright, but were colourful. Sadly Sad Beige fall in influencer hands it all started, because of a girl gluing her boyfriends PS4 with a white wrapping paper, because it didn't match her asthetic. That caused many sad beige mom's to buy colourful plastic toys and spraypaint into sad beige colours.
@@anetepaulakrinicka7830I completely forgot sad beige even had a reason for existing. Just like every movement that's been started has been warped and twisted by influencers
Now, you should be upset by centuries of people who gave kids "beige" stuff because dyestuffs were too expensive for the plebs. There was a beige linen doll, a beige/brown teddy bear, beige decorations....and somehow no kid back then was any worse for it.

@@jvnd2785Well yeah of course Christmas is more than just decoration and stuff but that's not the point the video is trying to make here and clearly you didn't get that. Christmas is supposed to bring happy joyous vibes with all the color strewn about and stuff and the crazy mixed patterns and elf's, snowman's and stuff and the pretty sparkly lights. If you weren't already aware decor is a big part of uplifting ones spirit and stuff by being surrounded by decor that has happy bright colors and stuff. No one feels happy in a room dressed in beige from top to bottom as that would make anybody sad. Sure Christmas is again not about all that superficial crap and is about family and God but still decoration matters somewhat. 🤷🏽♀️
I read once that when designers use neutral and pastel tones in their collections it’s a sign of economic uncertainty/stress vs using vibrant colors signaling economic security.
YES! No one is going to buy a purple 🟣 refrigerator in a recession. Conversely bright elaborate nail colors 💅🏿 are a sign of economic down times as it's an affordable luxury.
Or Gingerbread themes. Can even make that a family activity, decorate these things like they're cookie. All of this has potential, but they're being bought and popularized by people that have the creativity of a broken clothes hanger.
I like the black baubles, you can turn them in nightmare before christmas decoration. That way you can decorate for october, november, december all in one swift move.
I always loved white lights man... It's just peaceful to me. I love the explosion of colour on e everything else but I'd like to have white lights for the tree. My parents had this faux candles that mimicked the traditional trees and I always loved them... So, I guess I see myself out. Although I enjoy the rants on this
Yeah, all of that fluffy white would be a lovely contrast to richly, colorfully decorated things. It's not supposed to be all of it. It's supposed to stand out. It can't stand out if everything is white
11:41 also imagine being a 30something year old woman who is judging peoples decorations and making PUKE sounds for ones without the minimalistic look…. Her kids don’t like her 100%
Exactly. She’s known as the “fun sucking mom” on the playground. Her children never get invited to parties because the mom will only gift plain colored playground sand in a neutral aesthetic container wrapped in a beige play silk for birthday presents.
Judging people for the way that they flipping decorate is a whole new low I don't even want to get started on. Like seriously? It's so immature it isn't even funny
I look at many of these wooden Christmas decorations and think to myself "That looks like a great DIY project. So many sweet painted colorful patterns I could do. Wait, this is how much? Uh...er..."
Millennial here, and I think I can speak for a good many of us when I say that these sad beige moms are the 'preps' of our highschool days. Not the majority of us. Just the same sad little girls who didn't have a personality back then following the same sad fads to try and feel some semblance of a soul within themselves. Preps, or the girls who wished they were preps, and trying to get into that club uuuuuber late. MY home still gets the full decor spread. ALL colors. (My personal favorite is the colored lights.) We have a light set that lets us program a light show for our tree. Shit be wild in our home. Deck the holly jolly feckin halls! All that to say, that sad beige isn't going to overtake Christmas, but I do not expect it'll go away until someone starts a newer 'cooler' trend. Then suddenly you'll see all this sad beige shit in a thriftshop or landfill post haste.
Winter is a dark, depressing season filled with greys, whites, browns, and darkness. Except Australia. The reason for the evergreens in homes, and bright colours is to help cheer people up. So it's not as dark and depressing, and all round bleek.
The moment I realized how happy I am to live in Bavaria ( in Germany) where everything is so traditional that people wouldn’t even consider using beige and white Christmas decorations
Don’t you HATE that? I am Dec 6th (and a non same sex twin with 4 other siblings) so I would get a gift on my birthday and hear “this is for BOTH of you for birthday AND Christmas” and it wasn’t anything special or easily shared-we got screwed every year 😠 My poor older brother is Dec 21st so he has it just as bad except he wasn’t expected to share.
This is so sad, Christmas is supposed to be colorful and fun!.. But now we can't have that... We have to keep old Christmas alive!! Because future generations won't be able to see it's beauty if this keeps going :(
I mean, if you really want to talk about old Christmas then that has nothing to do with multicoloured lights and plastic decorations. Decor was traditionally evergreen foliage brought in from outside. If you were fancy then you could afford dried fruits, nuts and spices to decorate with. Multicoloured, plastic decor only arose because of the Industrial Revolution and isn’t the most sustainable. It certainly isn’t the most traditional either.
HOA told us a year ago we couldn't keep our lights (just multicolor string lights) up past the epiphany. Yet they put up with it for a full year before telling us that. We LOVE our lights!
THANK YOU SOOOO MUCH for even leaving them UNTIL Epiphany!!! Oh my gosh! You rock!! It's so disappointing that people decorate from November until the day of, and take it all down the next day. IT'S. STILL. CHRISTMAS.
Hi, sad beige Christmas person here 👋 lol. I am all for the Nordic/scandi, winter pine forest aesthetic. I love making my own decorations and recreating a historical Christmas by using foraged foliage and dried fruits and spices for decorations. I find it cosy, calming and nostalgic. It reminds me of Christmas as a kid when we couldn’t afford expensive coloured baubles and lights so we made our own.
That's vastly different from going to Walmart and buying a mass-produced pile of pinecones, imo. You're doing something really lovely and personal. I also prefer a more natural/fairytale kind of Christmas aesthetic- my favorite decorations as a kid were these little figures of winter birds. I think what makes the sad beige so very sad is how soulless and impersonal it is, you know?
That sounds like a lovely aesthetic and means a lot to your culture. I don't think she’s talking about you because you're doing something meaningful to your culture and upbringing. She’s talking about those sad beige influencer moms who exploit their kids and annoy the shit out of everyone.
On the plus side all the white, that are matt, can be really good for kids crafts. That's the right Christmas thing to do. Paint them all gayish colors until your eyes burn with glee!
One of my earliest memories is of the village where I grew up’s Christmas Fair. I remember the colours, the smells, the people all around and seeing Father Christmas. It was 1987 (I was 3) and life was good. Last Christmas was playing. I would never want any child to not experience Christmas as it should be. Bright, colourful, sparkly, beautiful and happy.
Earlyy!! I am actually so annoyed that people are ruining christmas! Its meant to be the time of colour, cheer and festive bright lights, why do people need to beige it up? Next year there isn't even going to be christmas I swear..
unfortunately from what i've read, research has stated we are seemingly going towards a more monotone color scheme as a society. I can't remember because i read this 1-2 years ago but maybe you can look it up. it was a mix of the fact that as adults we see things less vibrantly, but also i think wanting to look 'rich' or something similar was also impacting things. for example cars, homes, etc are most often the same 3-4 colors and we don't really notice it until we see a hard core extreme like the sad beige households. i know it probably doesn't help but if you're interested in the science behind why people feel the need to beige things up i'd 100% see if you can find a video or article about it if you're interested in those things.
There is, and people are gonna make it worse, Halloween? People are gonna skip it. Thanksgiving? It’s already almost dead. People just want a second Christmas, but if this is what Christmas is gonna be like, colorless and dull, then I’m just locking myself in my room.
it sucks but this stupid trend isn’t “ruining christmas”. it’s making it bland for other people, and as long as you keep doing what u want for christmas, it won’t be any different from other years.
In regards to multi colored lights… the incandescent ones from my childhood were sooooo much prettier than the ugly LED ones they sell now. Has anyone else noticed the difference?
Thankfully it's not like this in my country. We still have bright baubles and colorful lights, happy decorations and it just makes me so sad to see what Christmas is turning into
This physically hurts me. I’m not a huge fan of Christmas as I am with Halloween, but as an artist I know the creative side of it. Decorating/Decorations have always been my favorite part of Christmas. Me and my sister were always hyped the day after Thanksgiving when dad brings the fake Christmas tree up, and my mum brings up all the ornaments and other Christmas decor. Our tree already has lights on it, and it’s a special one where you can change the lights on it (there’s this one we call the Italian lights cus it was red, green, and white) and once the tree is up, me and my sister would scurry to the ornament boxes to put up whatever unique ornaments we got. Also on some nights when I was little, my family would get in the car and we would just drive around looking at everyone’s Christmas decorations. Some of the major decorations are my favorite, the amount of effort someone needs to go through, especially in the freezing cold, to create such amazing displays. The beige epidemic takes everything I ever love about decorating, and tosses out the window. There is no effort in those decorations, the amount of effort it takes to decorate is like another form of art cus you need to put thought and care into it. There is no thoughts and there is definitely no care in this.
I don't personally decorate for Christmas cause I don't like going through the trouble of putting everything up only to take it right back down, but I still enjoy seeing everyone else decorate! The beige Christmas decor is just extremely sad, it's worse than simply not decorating in my opinion... Also all of the beige decorations look like the kinds you give to people to decorate themselves 💀
Okay, I do love this decor BUT with other colors and decor as well. I’m a total maximalist when it comes to Christmas so I can always make some beige or plain decor look cute with my colorful decor. 🎄 But I would also love to do more of just the white for after Christmas for the rest of Winter. ❄️
I’m a borderline sad beige mom. My house is pretty beige (except my green couch). But Christmas is a GAUDY time. My husband has these amazing Christmas ornaments from his childhood (Dino-clause, repelling Santa, etc) and I just love putting them up every year. It brings us all so much joy. My 3 year old daughter put all of our “special” ornaments (baby’s first Christmas, first Christmas married, etc) all on only 2 branches. Is it the “perfect” Christmas tree? No! But I love it because SHE helped us decorate it in a way she thought was special and perfect. Furthermore, LOTS of red white and gold going on in this house. Christmas needs colour!
This makes me so sad, there's so many people (including myself) that are struggling to afford Christmas this year and these people who can, are spending their money on BEIGE and DULL Christmas decorations It doesn't even look good, where is the holiday joy anymore?
I find those people ungrateful tbh I could ONLY wish to decorate the house and a tree with all kinds of colors during December because my parents deems it as super weird unnecessary and useless they don’t even like the concept of Christmas or the new year, while *those* people has all the facility to celebrate so make it the most soulless experience for themselves instead of colors and memorable moments Also why everything is tied to a popular “aesthetic” nowadays when will they realize Not everyone likes the same exact thing and aesthetic? That’s weird
I am so happy that I am growing up with a family that loves to make our tree colorful and our outside decoration the TRADITIONAL decorations. I am genuinely disgusted that some moms don't want there kids to grow up with whatever decor they want on the tree or in their room and they only want their kids to have colors that match their "aesthetic". You are destroying your kids holiday and in the future they are gonna be confused as to why they never grew up with all the fun colorful lights in the stores. I feel bad for Gen Alpha.
Our house is 100% festive and colorful no matter the season!! You will never see a boring colors in this house!! Your Christmas tree is adorbs Hayley!!!
I honestly don't mind the gold reindeer, my grandma had some along with silver reindeer as decoration. gold and silver are also Xmas colors. but she never was a sad beige person, she was just rich, so she had other traditional colors like red and I think she did dark green plaid, it was well coordinated but still christmas-y, a classical christmas.
the reindeers are the only ones that look nice but i think it would look better as the normal reindeer color or realistic reindeer dude my mom collects nutcrackers nonstop, she would be devastated to see a non painted nutcracker and same as me, nutcrackers are adorable and unique.

I became an old lady last year and bought decorations for my bathroom, complete with a Christmas shower curtain and matching red rugs 😂 My daughter in law was so tickled by it that I might go full on granny and buy Christmas bedding for the guest room too.
Even I as a goth would prefer a coloured Christmas to a sad beige one. I can imagine emerald greens, burgundy reds, gold, silver for a colour scheme.
that’s actually a really pretty color scheme
Gorgeous colour scheme! My mom did blue either gold and silver, but we also each had a special ornament (whichever one we wanted) that always went on the tree too. She had ornaments for each pet as well, and the pets each got a stocking too, filled with toys and treats from “Santa paws.” She didn’t care how “tacky” it was, it was happy. Mom made Christmas awesome!
That's my decor ❤
yes gothic Christmas would be traditional Victorian shades, black could be included in cast iron

"beige, the Wednesday of colors, it's there and not at the same time" (idk if I wrote that right I'm spanish and mentally translating the phrase)

These beige decorations literally look like craft supplies. In fact I’m sure you could take most of them and paint/adorn them to make them bearable to look at
Exactly, that's why there in CRAFT stores, they are meant to be painted on and made look nice and colorful
@ Walmart and target are not arts and crafts stores. These items are being intentionally sold as-is.
My mother would so be grabbing her paint brushes and sprays if she were still with us.
I get your point and I agree, but these are made to be sold as is since it’s a current trend.
Exactly!
noted that one of the nutcrackers in this video was literally a blank one that you would buy at a craft store for children to paint 🤦♀️

Some of them aren’t like Walmart and target
Literally! Like those “taupe” ornaments could be customized into really cute gingerbread ornaments but people decide to just be boring :/
"Walmart continues their reign of terror of beige Christmas decorations!"
Savage and accurate!

Absolutely. This is an inconvenient truth for these rants. 😂 Happy Christmas!

I agree.... little touches of neutrals can be effective in one's color decor.
Exactly, especially if the decoration is done really nicely and it doesn't just look like an unfinished decoration. I'd like some of the things shown in the video to add to my very colorful tree and on my shelves for Christmas, but I do think you shouldn't overuse them and that they can be ridiculously expensive.
Yeah I have white balls in my tree mixed with blue because I love blue
Us too. And my mom still puts ornaments on that me and my brothers all made throughout school.
We love that tree!! 😊
Same, we’ve gotten new ornaments over time as the old ones break but it’s the same old tree, plus really interesting going through the bag while decorating to to realise when you got each one

I think with white and clear, they're trying to signify ice and snow, but the neutrals are going a little overboard. I know the wooden nutcracker is supposed to be a paint your own set because I stock those at work; they just aren't using them as intended.
Yeah, they give more of a winter-ish spirit than a christmas
I saw one done with gold Rub’n’Buff; it was lovely.

Like those bells would work really well on a lovely green wreath or with rich red ribbons.
i would take the beige stuff and paint it with beautiful Christmas colors! :)

That’s such a beautiful memory! My favorite is a ceramic ballerina bear with my name painted on it from 1983.
Oh my god that sounds so cute! I was planing to crochet a few ornaments this year and I might steal the name idea. Depends on whether I can embroider the names to my liking ^^'
Yes, as a child your imagination goes on adventures over such treasures. hehe
why does it make you sad that other people have different taste? you can get every color in stores still.
I don't think it's bad
IT'S. STILL. CHRISTMAS.
Christmas then:🎄🌲🎅🎁
Christmas now:⚪️◻️⬜️◽️▫️⚪️
Bro these people are taking the life out of EVERYTHING. EVEN *CHRISTMAS!!!* Its so sad :(
yeah it breaks my heart to see what ppl are doing to this magical holiday and turning it into just any other day :(
They are ruining every single holiday, first Halloween and now Christmas. It's genuinely sad if I had to be honest
Christmas is dead like every holiday now 😂😢
10:04 that target basket is the most colourful thing in that clip

LOL yep!
This morning in my recommended videos: girl with ugly Christmas decorations criticizes other people's ugly Christmas decorations. Groundbreaking.
That's really beautiful
I always refer to beige Christmas decorations are what you put up in January 😂
I would’ve bought those white ornaments and decorations and painted over them, like those little projects you could buy and paint with your parents
yesss exactly!
I was thinking the same thing!
I feel like that's what they were made for honestly, just that most people don't realize that it's for diy purposes
Hayley looks so gorgeous in the picture with her mom
RIGHTTTT

Halloween decorations were pink and blue, black friday was a regular day, and Christmas is just plain nude colors. We lost it.....
I’m going to lose my mind if I go to my Walmart and see beige
Poor colors are beige 💀 tf they Talkin bout? @@Rattyfanboy
They took “I’m dreaming of a white Christmas” way too seriously
I swear we decorate our tree like there’s no tomorrow! There is nugget ornaments, dog ornaments and even Bob Ross! This is depressing
Bob Ross ornament 😭💖 I’m jealous lol
Gimme Bob Ross
I will willingly pay for that Bob Ross ornament

Next year everybody's gonna go colour blind (can only see black and white) and realise how good multi colour decor was
In regards to multi colored lights… the incandescent ones from my childhood were sooooo much prettier than the ugly LED ones they sell now. Has anyone else noticed the difference?
Get the white trees and paint them like you would easter eggs, might be a fun family thing
Ik someone who works at a craft store, and they have those on sale FOR THAT EXACT REASON
the emotionless, beige aesthetics are back at it again.. thx for ruining almost every holiday
Hopefully they dont ruin Easter or independence day
@@Samantha_lynnekkkkkkkk They finna make easter white and the dullest or palest pink to the point you can't even discern what color it is 😭😭
@@Samantha_lynnekkkkkkkk I hope not 😔
I would actually buy them but because I could paint it
11:11 That's my dream christmas tree wtf!? Sad beige moms just don't know what joy is
thats rlly similar to my christmas tree
Thankfully it's not like this in my country. We still have bright baubles and colorful lights, happy decorations and it just makes me so sad to see what Christmas is turning into
Im glad to be a neon obsessed scene girl...
6:58 Walmart WAS affordable, when we had that smiling face, and and the word "Always" put everywhere.
The good ol days 😞 remember when Walmart use to be 24 hours? I miss my 3am shopping trips with insomnia
@@KawttonKandii I miss the baked goods. There was this killer brownie thing they used to make.
@@KawttonKandii Also, you remember when they sold lobsters?
Same for the Dollar Store, but now it's more of a $1-5 store
@@MrRedkid555I still remember when they had goldfish that you could purchase there, that's how I got most of my fish growing up
this video needs to get all of earth's views and be broadcast globally on repeat right now until the jolly month starts oh my god
I'm so glad all the people i love does not participate in beige Christmas 😊 imagine how sad and boring that would be
I’m a borderline sad beige mom.
Children need color all year round tho! Its good for their development
This makes me so sad, there's so many people (including myself) that are struggling to afford Christmas this year and these people who can, are spending their money on BEIGE and DULL Christmas decorations
It doesn't even look good, where is the holiday joy anymore?
yeah exactly its not even pretty, the beige style is so ugly it looks like a millennial insane asylum.
I find those people ungrateful tbh I could ONLY wish to decorate the house and a tree with all kinds of colors during December because my parents deems it as super weird unnecessary and useless they don’t even like the concept of Christmas or the new year, while *those* people has all the facility to celebrate so make it the most soulless experience for themselves instead of colors and memorable moments
Also why everything is tied to a popular “aesthetic” nowadays when will they realize Not everyone likes the same exact thing and aesthetic? That’s weird
First it was Halloween BUT NOW CHRISTMAS! NAH WE NEED TO SEND IN THE DECORA HOOMANS TO COLOUR THIS STUFF IN RAINBOWS TO CLEAN OUR EYES
YESSSSS!!!!!

I honestly don't mind the gold reindeer, my grandma had some along with silver reindeer as decoration. gold and silver are also Xmas colors. but she never was a sad beige person, she was just rich, so she had other traditional colors like red and I think she did dark green plaid, it was well coordinated but still christmas-y, a classical christmas.
the reindeers are the only ones that look nice
but i think it would look better as the normal reindeer color or realistic reindeer
dude my mom collects nutcrackers nonstop, she would be devastated to see a non painted nutcracker and same as me, nutcrackers are adorable and unique.
Christmas for the colorblind.
