This is the saddest movie I’ve watched in a long time, gosh. Good acting for sure, but my heart breaks for the family that had to go through this, losing a child is hard now being blamed for their death is heart shattering.. what a strong family 🙏 good movie

A great movie, but tragically to this day, no one else has ever been charged with Jaclyn's murder and her real killer is still running free. Bad police work from start to finish. RIP beautiful Jaclyn.

It's crazy how that guy was not prosecuted for knowing details of the blanket, the interior of the house, being placed at the scene of the crime, etc... that's outrageous!... Why can't this family sue the state to gain back their losses.... terrible, terrible story.
You're right the uncle should have been prosecuted for Jaclyns abduction and murder from the beginning the police indeed did. A sloppy job.
Also surprising that he didn't rape her before killing her. Most child murderers rape their victims first and then there would have been semen as evidence. I guess because the uncle was insane he killed just because but didn't the psychic say that he took her life because this kidnapper (her uncle) suffered a loss and wanted to replace what he lost? Which loss was that? The loss of his niece that he wanted to get back as a revenge for her mom and step dad having her instead of his brother in jail? This is the part that did not make sense to me. Sad sad story.
I hope the family did sue. If anyone deserves a payout it's this family. A huge one too. I feel really bad for what happened to this pretty little girl. She would have been 43 this year had she still been alive. I do have to say, that everyone of those actors and actresses did an outstanding job in this movie. I hope this family one day gets the Justice they deserve.

I just want to mention what an incredible actress Shannon is. I still can't understand why they couldn't have found a way to put the crazy, real murderer away. How many other children did he kill ? We live in an evil world and I hope karma caught up with this maniac. I hope the family was compensated in some way and they stay Blessed always.

I hate shoddy police work...losing a child is something you take to your grave! Most painful and you never get over it.
People who do this bad things have minds that we, as normal adults, can't understand. If we try to point them out, we fall in their trap, if we notice the usual things we don't accept in anyone, we will be more likely to be able to protect our homes from evil.
I have so much respect for this family being there for one another, not giving up & most of all there strength! Blessings 💜

Instead of convicting the actual killer, grieving parents with their families put through such horrible experience. Nothing can be worse than to loose ones child and have taken others away on false assumptions, one from birth bed. System sucks quite often. Good samaritans restores faith on humanity.

I totally agree it's just that it sad that his character as the detective didn't live long enough to see David get released from prison. But at least he's in heaven with Jaclyn and Jaclyn will tell him who caused her demise.

This family went through the most, the justice system victimised them in a bad way!!!They never grieved their daughter, instead they were fighting for survival and clear their names. When their son comforted his mum, that everything is gonna be okay, it broke me. How can people be so cruel 💔😞
It's so sad that the actual murderer wasn't apprehended. The family was tormented by the authorities. They never got a chance to grieve their daughter!

There’s a lot of innocent people sitting in prison right now for crimes that they didn’t commit. The state along with the corporate media can sway public opinion with just a simple accusation or a suggestion of guilt. It’s scary stuff how easily people can be manipulated.
And republicans LOVE the death penalty. They don’t care if innocent people are executed. They don’t give a damn about life or other people.

This must be the most despicable movie I have ever watched. The biggest problem for me is that it is based on a true story. The state should have been sued for the money they paid the useless legal defense who it seemed were there just to fill their wallets and weren't capable of defending a murder case. The police should have been sacked, especially the one who covered himself by saying the window was broken from the inside. Another problem is that these things still happen today, just to get a conviction. I have seen it done. Shame on these shameless people!

THIS is the definition of a real horror movie. It's obvious who the murderer is. God will deal with him . God bless this family and thank the Lord they are all together again. I hope they still are. Cindy is an amazing wife ! I hope they all get peace over what was done to them. For their sakes. God bless those who finally came forward and bless Davey for remembering the photos. The murderer is definitely the uncle i know it and I'm sure of it but he will never be tried for Jaclyns murder because he died a couple of years ago but he'll still have to answer to God for what he did either way.

If you read the Bible that so called ‘god’ is a sadistic serial killer that loves genocide, slavery, torture, misogyny, child rape, rape, incest, animal & human sacrifices and every other immoral act. That god sent his ‘chosen people’ to slaughter entire towns but spare little girls so they could be enslaved and raped the rest of their lives. And i can understand she was scared but she still should've told the cops what she knew it could've prevented the parents from being convicted in the first place for their daughters murder and the crazy uncle had the nerve to touch her little girl like that after watching he saw Jaclyns picture on the news as if he knows perfectly well he was behind her murder.

Halfway through the movie and I hate the system. I feel I hate the world for doing what they did to this couple and family.
And this is 2022. Things like this became more and More a lot and conspired with government, politic parties, conglomerates. As little as robbery without victim injured or killed, still got played, toy-ed, took care by them, drive by them. This is why, we should be careful, never give loyal support to politic parties, careful to join any kind of communities, think rationally about any Governments & Countries. Every Entertainment & every kind of Public Figures, every Communities, every Movements, every Organizations, actually are only a tools & dolls. They keep making the people to be busy with modernization life, branded stuffs, celebs scandals & rumours, influencers stuffs, sensitive topics (animals, racism, religions, shooters, drugs, alcohol, cigarettes, vegetarians, lgbt, global warming, plastic, go greens, metoo, genders, marriage/not, have kids/not, K-pop, covid, weather, etc).
While, how many people actually understand or really follow issues like economy, country's assets, country's culture & history that impacted the future that can cause a country destroyed without any of real war, real health issues that it's actually a war between all medicine companies, a war between medicine companies and new technology companies (like ouch~ mineral water is bad too? Lol. Maybe better don't drink or eat any), human trafficking, satanic sect/cults that actually (works or not, believe it or not) various people even higher ones doing it & harmful no matter what, illegal drugs, harmful/illegal chemical, illegal weapons, actual gangs that produce various gangs to be their free tools, brainwashed/threatened/corrupted people in national defense, the people's actual individuals assets from their history.

This movie was so hard to watch and I did skip the bit with the perpetrator describing what that beautiful, innocent child(your daughter) had endured. I'm sure there will be justice when God judges that man. I am so very sorry that you went through this. God Bless
Prosecutors and other public officials who hide information or prey on people for selfish gains should get long prison sentences. I’ve seen too many prosecutors who only care about winning and to hell with the people they destroy. The prosecutors in this case should be forced to serve the 45 years that was handed to an honest man they framed. Had prosecutors did their jobs the real killer would’ve been caught. Who knows how many other little girls were murdered by that deranged killer. He might still be out murdering kids while the prosecutors and other officials couldn’t care less.

You know the cops didn't have to go any further to find who killed Jaclyn because the person who killed her is a close relative and I'm not talking about Cindy or David. I'm telling you it was her uncle I mean how would he know the entire layout of the house or where the little girls body unless he was there the night of jaclyns abduction and murder.

This movie is heartbreaking and beautiful, I realized that the police in their haste to get a conviction, ( because it was an election year) didn't do justice to this family it's so sad, but it makes one think about the judicial system. Being a movie, I figured the outcome would exonerate this couple. The movie and actors were great, thanks for the free movies. 😂

Watched this true story movie just right now, and I found it so sad that the culprit isn't punished!! My heartfelt condolence for Cindy and David who were severely misjudged by the jury ( here in our country, there are no jury in our courts) and the police thus, suffered pain, agony and anger in what they had experience. Hoping this will not happen again to anybody. Watching from the Philippines, I'm so thankful and grateful to all those responsible for uploading this true story film!!!

So many people were evil here. Scary bad. A lot of people should be held accountable for what they did. The Doctor Who said the boy was abused children services who said the child was abused and the police who just plain didn’t do their job.
A very touching story, that really hits hard and to your heart. Why is it that people who are supposed to adhere to the justice system are the ones who break the law to gain power and money for themselves. These people who are so corrupted will have to answer to a greater Judge in heaven one day.
We must stop waiting for heaven to give justice, and instead hold these public servants accountable here on earth.

I love this movie. But david and cindy didn't even know and the both of them was sleeping. The guy was breaking into the house and walking up spiritual ways that he can actually quite understand for doing something bad. He picked a their own kid with a blanket and he carry her and put her in the tree. Real life. Nobody the system and neighborhood never knew? But blame the wrong convictions for killing and abuse of their own children. That's sad
