I can’t stand men who will try to clear their name by shifting the blame on a woman. My stepdad did that to my mom. Told my half brother that the divorce was my mom’s fault. And that she couldn’t keep a man because she was divorced twice. The coward. My mom left my alcoholic, wife beating, womanizing dad and my mom was tipped off to my step dad’s cheating. My mom was not about to be anyone’s doormat. Not that she couldn’t keep a man just that she wouldn’t keep that kind of man
Everything was about greed. The whole thing had markings of organized crime.

All these innocent people who are locked up for something they didn't do. I have come across SO MANY cases where people were accused of something they didn't do. It's catastrophic! The justice system is far from perfect. Listen to me people, if a police officer knocks at your door, DO NOT TALK TO THEM, CALL A LAWYER!!! PLEAAASE!
@Emily, some lawyers don't help either. Her lawyer arguing that it was a robbery proved he wasn't as good as he'd been made out to be. He'd have made an argument for reasonable doubt since no physical evidence was available to tie to the crime, the motive was weak & all the state has were testimonies of liars& jaded people....
I've been watching cases that the Innocence Project has done. It's absolutely disgusting & heart breaking the way detectivs, DA's, judges, etc will convict & lock someone away for 20, 30, 40 yrs or let them die in jail for something they didn't do. All for the sake of having a perfect conviction record, a promotion, or just to make their self look like a hero in the public eye.

I agree Emily, The police sometimes make their own judgment and then tell the other cops their version. What a messed up judicial system we have . And it’s just getting worse .

I saw the whole Movie. Her husband Ron set her up and so did that eager Cop. That's what the Attorney from her Second Trial discovered. The Attorney from the 1st Trial dropped Joyce because he was representing her Husband Ron. She never knew this. Ron dumped her after she was sent to Prison. *I'm Glad she was finally exonerated. The main witness Lied through his Teeth and everyone believed him.* The Cops were so eager to Lock anyone up and sent an Innocent woman to Prison for a Crime she did NOT Commit. Someone told the Lawyer of another Hit her Husband Ron set up after he got shot and her Lawyer suppressed the evidence.
Poor Joyce *_went through trauma in Jail & Sentenced to Prison all due to lies and deceit by her friends, husband, police and prosecutors who were supposed to protect her rights._*

Her husband was never charged, he got away Scott free. She divorced him.

@@E-Kat You can love getting a good story! Especially seeing truth being exposed, as many of these true life movies do! They inform & expose, which actually results in many learning & avoiding many poor choices in life, thus saving lives! Further other's who have been through similarly difficult & painful situations actually get therapy from others stories, it is therapy for them to share in other's experiences. And there is much to love about all of that! Just my 2 sense as a Lay Crisis Counselor/First Responder 45yrs, facing guns in my face by human traffickers at age 13, & a pow experience in adulthood. Wandering why these judges are always old people who are supposed to be in retirement long time ago. Maybe because of 1 000 000 yearly salary.
This is the real problems in today's lives because Children need not speak decently with their parents or respect or do not even care their parents that we never did till today, actually we were happy not having modern toys, electronic gadgets, expensive clothes, shoes etc. and we all taking our food with our guardians at home always, no matter what the food was. I'm 68 and when I notice these Children either my family or any other families I really become an Idiot

I never get how most people blindly believe the results of trials - I listen to the facts and make my own judgments regardless of the outcomes
A highly subjected view point all about your self. (Me, Me, Me). So you are hyperfectically in the jury seat deciding the fate (Life or death) of the accused and witnesses are brought before you all and they give testomonie that they were involved in a conspiacy to murder on behalf of the accused. The accused also gives testomoney from her own mouth that yes she did say she wanted him dead. And the victim is murdered in what looks like a contract killing. There seems no presented evidence to say contary. Now you decide. You are not permitted to say you do not know or abstain. Yes or no. She did it as accused or she did not.
You can believe the trial results are the results with out being at the trial or knowing they are right or wrong. The press will publish the results weather right or wrong. I do not know all those people who blindly believe the results of trials. For the majority of people reading the news or hearing boardcasts on TV or internet that is all they have to go on if they are not directly involved. Maybe you 'don't get it' as you have some direct invlvement in legal proceedings and so can not see it from the lay person's point of view of haveing no alternative other than accepting the judicial decision. Even if the accused is innocent. She/he too will also have to accept the decision. She/he does not have to acept it is true or right but they have to accept that it was the courts decison.

I love Donna sliver earrings in the early part at the start of this movie.
They left out way too much of the court proceedings for the conviction to make the least bit of sense to a viewer. There had to have been more than Arnie's claim that he heard her planning the assassination. I mean phone or banking records..something!

@Xenias, I agree. There was no physical evidence tying her to the murders. Her lawyer arguing it was a robbery was a big mistake, he'd have tried to show reasonable doubt. They only had testimonies of liars& jaded people and a weak motive. She had a bar lawyer
