I was blessed in owning a CL600… it was a monster, loved every bit of it! Nothing beats the feel of driving a V12

I wonder how efficient a stupid small v12 (~1.8-2L) would be? I’m not sure what matters more: outright hp or hp/liter as it pertains to fuel economy
The century isn’t bad. A friend of mine had imported one and he daily drove it for a while, said he managed to get roughly 16mpg at best which isn’t great but it’s still better than my mustang🤷🏼♂️

That you even know about the CL65 makes you a legend. People either look over or just don’t know about it
If you know you know .. these are cheap for a reason , fixing them is not an option thats how expensive it is to fix one and the selling price will reflect that

Nobody in his right mind picks a V12 over a V10. The sound, the emotion, the balance and torque are unbelievable beautiful. A composition of perfect sound and a certain rarity, just perfect.

@@brandonmullins1242 the 456 is bad with a poor transmission.
I love the old CL but the maintenance on those things will drive you into bankruptcy. If you can, I'd recommend getting the CL500 and swapping the hydraulic suspension for regular coil springs and dampers. IIRC the suspension from that generation E-Class is bolt on. You just have to swap the power steering pump and/or ABS block from the E-Class, as the CLs hydraulic system ran off the power steering system and has a unique pump. Tavarish did this with his SL years ago.

Bro forgot the fact that it'll cost you 10k a month to maintain that cl65 and you'll have to take out a mortgage on your house if the hydraulic suspension goes bad, which, as it is a 20 year old merc, it will.

I really, really, really like the old BMW 850i’s that came with a V12. Super good looking cars. And they can be bought for under $10k most of the time.

I think Cadillac, a few years back had a one-off of V 16 they put it in some black car. I don't know or remember its name. Although I very rarely seen much about it anymore and only did a few times when it came out. Then again I think that's more of a hypercar and it's a one-off.
