Yes, I like it. With a little practice I'll be able to make some great shots for our short films. Working on a 1920's Mobster Film now for next years Film Festivals in East Texas.

Its very good it seems but reliability is the only problem. Means high risk. Many videos on TH-cam where Litchi app loses connection and the drone flies away. Just search for it and see the cases. That's the only thing holding me back from getting Litchi. Else the possibilities for film makers are beautiful with this app, because manually no drone pilot can fly a sequence like this without jerkiness, not impossible, but very tough to manually do an S and then a C shape and also maintaining relevant heights at each shape curve.
The Mavic Pro 2 etc comes with its own way-point feature built in so that should be safer, albeit not foolproof safe. DJI is a wonky Chinese company too so using Litchi with an already very shady ethics based drone company is worse. They will even ensure flyaways when using other apps and you cant claim anything from them because you used a 3rd party app. So more business for them. They would even include things in the firmware and code to identify opportunities like this to cause crashes etc. Its a business model.

Nice ! Seems quite accurate that you were able to pull off a large move and then to seamlessly come and rotate around your bench. I think you lowered altitude also in the mission to get you close up from the bench ? Does the altitude function work accurately ?

mgr5550 Yea it it was pretty accurate. I suggest you always allow for any variance in elevation when flying close to the ground. Depending on what I need to film I turn off the crash avoidance and have to be very alert. But overall wide higher elevation flights work well.

johnny mac It works pretty well for me. As you see from my channel I tested it in different ways. Our Film Club have several shorts planned where I will set it up for specific flights on scenes we want. Have fun.
