This is great information Rich. I'm definatley not a fan of the editing options in Pilot 2 app for waypoints, so being able to import these files is a win. Hopefully they get the SDK operational real soon.
Great stuff as always brother! This video was perfect timing as due to remote ID im slowly beginning to phase out my P4P but with Litchi as my main app i needed a way to do this and begin using my Mavic 3. Looking forward to more videos about this! Thanks!
Creating waypoint missions is so easy with Litchi, and so cumbersome using DJI Fly's native waypoint facility, thus Wes Barris' creation of this converter of Ltchi CSV files to DJi Fly KML files gives die-hard Litchi users a powerful time-saving tool for creating Mavic 3 waypoint flight plans, even if the camera directions have to be corrected for each successive waypoint of the flight plan after that Litchi CSV file conversion into the KML files that are readable by DJI Fly。
I don't believe it does for the Mavic 3 Classics. I don't think you can import flight plans to the Classic. I could be wrong so double check DJI's specs.
Hi Rich, thanks for the great video. I'm a professional photographer/filmmaker, new to Litchi and a beginner drone pilot. Maybe this has been covered before but, I want to do a 1 week timelapse journey through a forest, so the drone needs to be at waist level. (I don't want to do a hyper-lapse). I'm wondering if it's possible to create a route with Litchi and when it comes time to change batteries on the drone every 20 or 30 mins, when the drone is powered back on with the new battery, will the drone continue on the path it is on? Hope that makes sense. Many thanks for your help.
Wow, this sounds like a cool project. You can create a route with Litchi, and you can pause routes too. I've had situations where I was limited on space, and had to keep the flights tight. I have walked along with the drone, and created waypoints as I walked with the drone. The big thing to be super aware of....flight speed. If you want to walk along with the drone you'll need to check out your overall mission speed after you created it, or your might get a surprise (too fast, not smooth enough). I'd really enjoy seeing what you create.
@@AZ-Drone This is cool. I didn't realise you could do waypoiunts while walking and holding the drone, this simplifies everything big time. When I get the project done I'll send you a link. Thanks for the advice, much appreciated :)
@@thuillier68 You can actually walk along with the drone flying as well. Get the drone up, follow a few feet back, and mark your waypoints. Once you’ve marked all your points you can set a course speed that can be applied to all waypoints. Looking forward to seeing this.
Dronelink is a good way to go. It's mostly a cost thing. I'm signed up with so many services at this point. I want to carry over as much of our workflow as possible.
@@AZ-Drone Yup. Totally get that. And Dronelink can be expensive. But then it does so much that it's really the only one you need. Of course the others are probably a one time fee...
Good luck. I'm a Litchi pilot beta tester that's had very little luck with it on my hardware combo. The Litchi Forum is Not a very helpful place either.
Correct. It's not the easiest method, but I was happy to find this as it allowed me to access my Litchi missions and get them on the M3E. My understanding is that the Litchi Beta is currently going on. So I'll be looking forward to using Litch on the M3E. Don't know how far out the launch is, but I hope sooner rather than lager.
After my above comment I went out to fly another mutated litchi mission. It worked ok but had a strange behavior. It was to just fly while recording and it did, but it also stopped at each waypoint to take a picture. Then I checked the files on computer and the Pics were empty.?? I know Wes would want a look at it but I'm not into sharing anything with the people from the litchi forum. I have my reasons.@@AZ-Drone

Apparently they’re working on Litchi for us which is great. forum.flylitchi.com/t/new-litchi-pilot-beta/10621
That's amazing The waypoint for my mavic 3 enterprise
I was really happy to learn about this as well!

We'll have more coming out next week for sure on our M3E use. I'm glad to know Litchi is working on their new app too.

Nice channel. One question. Why not just use Dronelink, which works great with the M3E without any complications. Or is it just a cost thing?

I heard there is a "Beta" version out for the Mavic 3 enterprise series
I posted the link to litchi about the beta as well. I missed the beta opportunity I think.

Currently not on the site anymore, M3 to Litchi and Litchi to M3 are gone
Wonder why its no longer there.
From Litchi - DJI SDK will not be available for them to be abale to use or other developers as of Dec 2023
I haven't seen any new updates from Litchi. I know their beta is ongoing, but that's the last I've heard about it.
I found this to be very convoluted. Way to much room for even casual Errors.
