I have to agree. I was there from the first atari and on... I've experienced the entire progression. Graphics. Music. Complexity. From pixels to polygons.
For those of us from the Reactistan Video where the Pakistani Villager played Super Mario Bros, be honest; After seeing how complicated this game can get, is it any freaking wonder that old dude absolutely crushed Mario on his first try? Calling him a villager seems strange, considering how informed and experienced he seemed, though I don't take the word to be an insult really.
Even in the remote villages where there is electricity you will find arcade where you can play games with 1 cent per game .these people didnt have personal setup to play games he must have played some where at arcade shop
Oh man... I was the best player in the small town I grew up in when this game was the most popular... I was the first one to finish it... I still remember the commotion caused by the other kids in the arcade... those were the days!!!
Aaron Oakley I'm sorry you're wrong!!! When this game came out back in 1986 I was 13yrs old... Chucky Cheese use to have a Rygar tournament of champions... It was always me and this damn girl always finish in a tie so we decided to split about 1,000 Chucky Cheese tickets apiece😄!!! Those were the good ole days of great memories of old Skool video arcade games classics!!!
I still play this game about once a month and others such as Karnov, Bombjack, Shinobi, SFII etc. Anyway- you can do it via a concept called "Emulation". It's software that tricks the PC into acting like an old Arcade machine(while it's running) and then you can play the exact games of that time(these are images- or exact copies, of those games). These gamecopies are called "roms". In any case... hop over to Emuparadise, download the Arcade(MAME) emulator. Then go to the "Roms ISOS, Games" section of the website, choose "M.A.M.E Roms", then 'R' and download Rygar or any other of the thousands of games on there. Look on youtube for how to get started with MAME. Will tell you everything you need to know. Some of the roms don't work with different versions of MAME... SO if you download from Emuparadise- stick to it. Emuparadise normally has the emulator version that matches the romsets in it's roms sections.

I once stole from the offering plate at church to play this at the local corner store. Got my ass rocked too...you needed divine intervention for this game, and I definitely didn't have it that day.
Glad I found this game, I use to play this down at our local takeaways back in 88, always happy to make peace with my past, even though I'm 41 i still hold them good memories alive as back then alot of family members and friends were alive then. Nothing but love and miss the 80s

Un clásico que en los locales de barrio apagaran derechamente la máquina mientras uno estaba jugando. Recuerdo aparte de Rygar, que se hacía harto con Yie Ar Kung-Fu y Solomon's Key.
This takes me back to my Native Silver Spring MD where I 1st came across this game at University Arcade in '86. I never did get to finish it myself then but it was fun to see.
