I can tell ya.. People don't mind all the talking, Chris. Your vids are great and informative. I get tired of seeing riding videos on youtube, but.. I find yours interesting. Better than music blasting and zero info given. Cheers! Oh, Can't wait to see you go ham on this, this winter.. Paint etc.
I appreciate the feedback, sometimes I feel like I talk too much and people get tired of me rambling. In the beginning my plan for the x2 was just to build it for my daughter but I’m starting to fall in love with it. I can’t wait to get it build for next season. 🤘🏼🔥 Thanks for watching!
@@CoyoteChris No problem. I’m also building an X2 I picked up for the kids. I have a feeling… I’ll be on it just as much… Iv been watching your vids closely. Already ordered a SBN 44. I have a 93 650. So it has a 38 on it. But I want the 44 power!
The carb swap made a huge difference, I plan to do a intake grate and new Impros impeller. After those upgrades it should make a big difference in performance.
Hoping to pick up an X2 in two days that looks really clean but has electrical issues. Debating modding the 650 or swapping in a 750 out of an SS I have and putting dual Keihin 40mm carbs on it.
@@CoyoteChris I have two 750 SS skis that are both in good mechanical shape. Cosmetically they could use a little work. Not sure I want to scrap them just to upgrade the X2.
@@CoyoteChris I picked up a 91 650SX two years ago for $500 with a trailer. Sat since 2009. Oil pump leaked and drained into the bottom end. So I pulled the engine, put new crank seals in it. Blocked off the case drain and oil pump. Swapped in a Mikuni SBN44 and a Solas 13/18 and did a PJS top loader intake. Definitely planning to swap in a SBN44 if I keep the 650. Probably swap in a stainless impeller if it doesn't already have one. Think this X2 has been sitting since 2013.
A friend gave me the waterbox and I can’t tell what kind it is but the build of it reminds me of a TDR waterbox. Drilling the stock one would work for sound but the weight reduction is the biggest reason for me changing it, so I would go aftermarket. Thanks for the support! 🤘🏼🔥

@@CoyoteChris Im running a Skat 15.5
What do you think about it compared to the stock?
Great video and info I have 2 X2’s in Michigan and they are a blast
That awesome 🤘🏼. Thanks for the support, hopefully soon I will start the tear down and body work.
Definitely recommend a bilge pump on an X2. Love the videos
Thanks for the advice, I’ve already got one ready to install when I reassemble the ski.

If you have a 750 laying around I would swap the engine for sure. 🤘🏼

Yeah it’s hard to tear apart a working ski just for its parts. If you keep the 650 definitely upgrade the carb. 👍🏼

Oh wow been sitting i while. I plan to keep the 650 in my x2 and do those mods this winter plus a few more.
I need to see your trailer set up! Just curious how your going to get the blaster 3 stand ups a x2 and your wifes couch all to the lake haha
🤣, I’ll need a tritoon trailer. At the moment I have 2 trailers to get everything to the water.
@@CoyoteChris haha yes you will amd a fuel tanker to meet you there 🤣

Which aftermarket waterbox did you end up with? Any views on drilling a stock box vs buying an aftermarket one? Thanks Chris.
Def a Fan, good videos
