This is precisely why we need a Universal Basic Income. ATM machines, self check-out, and now robotic restaurants. Very convenient, very efficient, but no cooks or servers are receiving wages!

We do, places like white castle have investment in them. The issue is does this robotic system cost more to operate than human labor? As long as the robotic system is less cost effective US will not have them. This restaurant in China is just a showcase to say “see look what we can do China is so great we are the future” type of thing where in reality complex systems such as this still need calibrations programming and repair from humans and like I said in most cases still cost more than human minimum wage labor.
