    great vid as always Ashley - that's a proper days work ! but give me my 12-15 domestic window cleans a day done with a 18ft extreme pole, all one van stop, done from the ground and all on gocardless. Finished for the day & in the pub for 1pm - easy life

      Hopefully upgrade soon 🙏🏻

    Wow you have really upped your game with the steamer. Roof looks to brand spanking new. Love the way the steam 'melts' the grime away.

      Thanks. I have to say that I don’t think this is the solution for every situation though. Takes a lot longer using this and I don’t think the results are any better than using my pressure washer.

    Loving the videos and seriously thinking of getting in to this, will only start with patios and driveways and walls. And I’m in Yorkshire so won’t be stealing any of your trade!! Did you buy a van then fit it out when you started or did you by the whole thing as a van then upgrade when you could? Cheers mate look forward to your response 🤞👍

    Great video Ashley, I'm interested by your view that steam isn't always the best method. Why is that and in what situations would you take a different approach?

    • @aemackintosh
      @aemackintosh  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      The steam cleaner would be great in certain situations, but here it just took a lot longer than if I used my usual pressure washer. The results weren’t any better and I don’t think it effected the tiles any differently.🤷🏻‍♂️

    • @aemackintosh
      @aemackintosh  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Me and Paul went half’s on a second hand VTUF. I actually think there are only going to be a few jobs where it is actually needed. A more powerful hot setup would be better, but I still think that for the additional expense there will only be a small improvement in the clean. I always use biocide anyway.

    Great content Ash, the roof came up as good as new, clearly, a smart investment, do you run it off a generator or the mains and can you run your surface cleaner from it so you can use steam on drives, etc.

    • @aemackintosh
      @aemackintosh  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      We used it from the mains. You just need an adapter on the pressure hose because VTUF use their own unique fittings.🤦🏻‍♂️

    Great work Ash and loving camera angles 👍 how do you find these steam cleaners ? Do you think turbo nozzle would of taken white lichen off ?
    Just thinking if was going to invest I trust your opinion
    Cheers buddy

    • @aemackintosh
      @aemackintosh  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I don’t think it’s the ultimate solution really. It takes much longer if you want to steam off every last little bit of lichen. I always do a biocide treatment after cleaning, so I don’t worry about that left over lichen because the biocide takes care of it.👍🏼

    Hi Ashley do you ever use the turbo nozzle when steam cleaning ? Like when you don’t get flat roof tiles ?

    • @aemackintosh
      @aemackintosh  ปีที่แล้ว

      I’m not keen on using a turbo nozzle at all to be honest, I think it’s just a bit too intense for the tiles. I know guys like to get all the white lichens off with it, but I still prefer the 12 inch fsc. I think the way it applies the pressure through the two fan jets is much more gentle on the tiles. Then we always treat with biocide which will kill off anything left behind. I’m also not fussed about steam. It’s a big expensive and a massive faff for not much gain. There is an awful lot you can achieve with cold water pressure and biocide if applied in the right way.👍🏼

    Is that 5inch? Great to see.

    • @aemackintosh
      @aemackintosh  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It’s an 8inch fsc. The steam cleaner works at a much lower pressure, that’s why I’m using the smaller, lighter head.👍🏼
