I just tried their moss killer at my rental. Going over today to see if it did its job. It says to spray it on and let it dry. I assume it kills the moss and you sweap the dead remnants away. I guess we'll see today. Thanks for the video on this product.
@@jimmysoutlet so it killed about 80% of the moss on the walkway. It still needed scrubbing to get out the stuff that was stuck on. Worked really well on the green slime on the deck though.
Hey I just used that and discovered all that is diluted sodium hypochlorite(bleach) 5%. You can get a gallon of pool cleaner sodium hypochlorite 10% for around $5 and dilute it and refill the hose end sprayer.
I didn't have plants on that side of the house, but this is what it says on the Home Depot website "Safe Around Plants, Lawns and Landscaping. 30 SECONDS Outdoor Cleaner is specially formulated to break down readily in the soil, so you don't have to worry about the rinse water harming your plants. Foliage that is sprayed directly with the cleaner should be rinsed within ten minutes." Hope this helps. Thanks for watching.
That's very good to know. I do like the convenience of the spray bottle though, maybe buy one bottle to get the sprayer and refill with pool cleaner and dawn dish liquid. As long as the pick-up tube malfunction was a one off.😂
@christinejones6922 Yes it will. My neighbor didn't properly dilute H.C. when cleaning his vinyl fencing. He is located on a highest slant , I'm to the bottom. It killed my fescue grass. It turned white. I was livid. I'm a stickler for maintaining my green fescue lawn and now I need to wait to repair the area. Didn't want him do anything to help. I knew more damage to other parts of my lawn would've occur.
If you have a power washer, buy a high pressure injection nozzle ( about $35). The high pressure nozzle attaches just like any standard high pressure tip. Shorten the siphon tube to about a foot long and put it directly into a bottle of bleach into which you have added a large shot of Ivory dish washing liquid. Simply hold the bleach bottle in the same hand as that which is holding the pressure wand. This combo will work just a well as the 30 Seconds and is a lot cheaper. If you have foundation plants around the house, be sure to thoroughly wet them down before you start the cleaning, and again when you are through cleaning. Bleach going into the soil will not hurt your plants, but bleach left on the foliage will!
For touching up small areas within reach, the Mr. Clean Magic Eraser works great. Takes the dirt and mildew right off.
