@@nuclearmemester2620 to be honest their combat and settlement building system was very enjoyable. But they just didn't do anything creative with the system, the mechanics, the characters, or the story. I waited until fo76 for things that never came.
The bare bones of what should have been a deep and potentially interesting story of alliances, and betrayals, and multiple faction vs faction, or even inter faction war fair like what the team over at Obsidian did with new vaguest did was what I wanted and never got. And that alone hurt more than the price of the dlc.

We'll see, FO 4 is now well loved and FO 76 also has tons of defenders. Bethesda seems to have a cycle. Game is sheit on at release and then when the new generation games come out suddenly those old games were good and the new one is bad. Skyrim was treated the same way.
@@Ralathar44 No it was totally different with Skyrim. I heard about Skyrim everywhere, and I heard it is great. Only a few fans of older Elder Scrolls games wasn't happy as far as I remember.
As for Fallout 4, I personally like it very much, but I know that people hoped for a better game mainly in terms of the story. So, what did Bethesda do?
They released Fallout 76 - the game with almost no story! And I remember people was talking that this game is bad, but if all the bugs would be fixed it would be descent. I think that Fallout 76 as of now is an acceptable game, because they did fix it to some extent.
But with Starfield it is a different story. Well... The story in the game is terrible, but this time the gameplay is also terrible, so there is nothing to defend. I don't think Starfield will ever be considered a good or descent game. It is just boring. I really learned lots of new shades of boredom with this game actually.

I'm not going off of memory or feeling or etc. Major shifts in how people felt about the game happened. Go look at how release skyrim ran by checking out Spiffing Brit's " I Played Skyrim's Release Build in 2023 ". That's how bad it was. Its funny though, Tod was right. "It's not how it releases, its what it becomes". And you right now are living proof of that.
I swear one of the reasons Starfield got so much hype was because of the shitty memes that claimed No Man's Sky was a good game.
Because of those, people actually think random generated planets that are all the same equals good game content.

Not only PC, but THE ONLY OTHER platform it launched: Xbox struggles as well. 30fps at "Medium settings" and with FPS drops in new atlantis and sometimes even freezing for couple seconds is NOT a great start.
