I'm getting a quest 3 for Christmas, I have a quest 2 now and before that I had a quest 1, so I've been playing VR daily with fresnel lenses for years. I'm definitely ready for an upgrade
@ you’ll love the sharpness of the pancake lenses and you’ll have more power under the hood. Asgard Wrath 2 came with my quest 3 and to me it’s the best meta game out there. Ive since bought a PC and at this time I’m playing half-life: Alex via virtual desktop to quest 3, this game looks amazing. I still have my quest 2 but I haven’t used it once since the quest 3 came out last December.
@@ihs200I bought the Quest 3 because I wanted to experience VR at 'exceptional' quality and had never used VR before. If you already have the Quest 2, just wait for the Quest 4 in 2026. I didnt use "fresnel lenses," but overall, the Quest 3 isnt game-changer in the VR market. People are still buying Quest 2 & Quest 3s (same lenses as Q2).
@marcinpl5643 No offense, but if you've never used VR before that headset you don't really have any room to talk on it. Statistically, the quest 3 is much better than the quest 2, and I've also heard this from many people who HAVE previously used VR for years.
@@ihs200 Agreed! But, many people want to believe their purchase was worth it, even if it means living in a bit of a delusion and sharing opinions that can mislead others. The Quest 3 is solid hardware, especially for someone new to VR. If you truly enjoy VR, it’s a great option to dive into!
6:00 man your footage is soo smooth compared to other gameplays that I've seen, it always looked so laggy and nauseating but this is the first time I'm seeing quest 3 video at 60 fps, cant even imagine how good it is on 120htz
Just picked one up. Mind blown. Had a Quest 2, sold it. Then got the 3s to try, returned it and tried the 3 and kept it. Super happy with my choice! Sooo many good games have released since my quest 2 (RE4, Arizona 2, Metro, Batman, Assassin's Creed etc). can't wait to finally beat half life alyx as well over pc vr
Congrats! It's great to hear the differences between the 3s and the 3. I wanted the headphone jack, IPD adjustment, and the new lenses. I totally agree; this VR experience is next level.
Quest 3s is 128gb but super cheap a few good upgrades such as chip and ram, color mix reality and a few downgrades like lenses but i just bought a used 3 128gb so I hope i have enough space . Whats interesting is the new chip on the old screens and lenses means you can get a res benefit with better battery. Plus it plays better in the dark than the 3 but overall the 3 looks superior but its hard to justify the extra 200.
No matter which one you choose, you'll end up needing to connect a power bank to both the Quest 2 and Quest 3 for longer sessions. While the Quest 3 offers better visual quality and performance, the need for a power source remains the same for extended use. And Q3 isnt "Game-Changer" but buff of Q2.
Nice and informative video! I enjoyed all the points you made and talked about. Im also a Quest 2 user and had the headset for 2 years now. My laptop isn't strong enough for PCVR so I've only been able to play standalone games, with some sideloaded content. The pancake lenses and the improved mixed reality experience really makes the Quest 3 tempting! Getting the quest 3 would also allow me to play co-op games with family members which makes it an even more worthwhile experience.
with table tennis did you try re-entering by holding the right menu button? as it didn't look like you even tried that which I'd the first thing you should do lol
I agree with a lot of this review, but the Quest 3 is still a long way from where it should be. It's missing OLED and a DP connection. The PSVR2 provides those and it's why most people who have tried it say it's better than the Quest 3 for PCVR.
Yeah oleds would have been nice and also DP aswell. But as a whole package, it probably the best choice out there. PCVR has definetly unlocked the PSVR2, but there is something about playing completely wireless that's just incredibly immersive.
@@dtz1000 you are a bit mistaken. people say psvr2 excels at certain things, like the OLED screen but pretty much everyone universally agrees it's the worse purchase for PCVR. you lose so much just for those screens. as someone with the PSVR2 the screen door effect is horrible and I am still waiting to see if all the features Sony locked out of PC can be modded back in.
@@OlivierFablu-c9m worst choice compared to the quest 3 that you and everyone in the replies has been talking about. I replaced my rift s for a psvr2. No one is saying it's the worst choice ever.
The pancake lenses alone are worth the upgrade, imo.

Your tone of voice made me watch the entire video, great video!

Indeed
Getting my quest 3 in two days, so excited!!! And thanks for the video ❤
I got mine a week ago after debating if it would actually be good or not but its great, have fun!
Have fun!
You can watch dvds tv play ps5 now or anything with hdmi you just need a video capture card there’s a lot of videos on you tube about this feature.

iracing in VR is the best experience I’ve had gaming by miles. U need a quest, PC, rig, pedals and a wheel and worth every cent
Totally agree! Any racing simulator with VR is amazing. It definetly got me hooked on sim racing and VR.

Yeah I did. It just re-centred me in the same place. Was weird and not a usual problem at all.
I just ordered mine too, and going for 128GB as well, will be playing with PCVR next time. can't wait to receive mine~
Have you used VR before, or would this be your first time really getting into it?
@ I played with my friend’s quest 3 most of the time and now I finally decide to buy my own.
Thank youuuuu!!!!
Thanks for watching!

I wouldn't agree that most people say that. The Quest has many strengths that PSVR lack
@@OilersHD97 As an example, The Verge said, "the Quest 3 looks incredibly washed out compared to the PSVR2 on a PC". You just can't beat OLED.
