I've had one of these mowers for 5 or 6 years. I never used the self-propelled function. Now I'm leaking oil from the engine. Always starts on one or two pulls. The best mower I've ever owned. I let the cut grass shoot out the side, then use my carpet sweeper to pick it up. Works great!
Thank you..had so many options.. wantd to buy hte honda engine.. but not available anywhere.. out of stock..This also has the plus of smart stow.. very helpful for me in my garage... the cold start 3rd year show in your video gave a good feeling about briggs and straton engine.. thank you again. :) buying this today from home depot..
I am surprised your side side discharge flap is still the original. It is a nice option and I've never used our clipping bag. My problem with the flap is that it is a nice design that is bound to break. Viewers can see that there is a more or less rectangular flap that hold the discharge flap in place. To use the clipping bag or to use the hose flush feature it is necessary to lift that flap and remove the discharge chute. The flap has two metal claws that fit through two holes in the discharge chute. The *_ENTIRE_* discharge chute is made of rubber. Regardless of who mows the yard (you, your wife , one of your kids or a friend) it only takes four or five bumps pulling the mower backward in a tight spot and you will be buying another roll of duct tape. This could have been avoided by designing a discharge flap that had some kind of metal grommet or maybe a metal strip along that edge of the flap with holes where the claws go. As it is, the rear hole is still good so I tear off the tape to flush it and then tape the flap back on.
been looking for one but it seems they don't make them with the side shoot anymore. Homedepot has them but their description is waaay off. do you know where I could get one?
