- Unboxing and first firing of Kimber Micro 9 CSE (Carry Special Edition) with Crimson Trace laser grips from Cabelas. Overall the build quality feels good, with the slide fitting tight to the frame and the barrel feed ramp having a good smooth polish. The aluminum trigger feels pretty good with a little more over-travel but a nice break point.
I fired 50 rounds of 115 gr Round Nose remanufactured ammo in this quick initial test. Every round fired perfectly, with no failure to fire, eject, or feed of next round. It was a cloudy day, but the Crimson Trace laser grip was very nice and bright at the 20 yards. I am pleased with overall quality.
For size comparison, I show the Kimber Micro 9 CSE alongside a Les Baer 1911 Ultimate Tactical Carry with 5" barrel, as well as alongside a Smith & Wesson M&P Shield 9mm. Overall the Micro 9 is slightly smaller than the M&P Shield 9, but the Micro 9 Crimson Trace laser grips feels slightly thicker.

Only comes with one magazine? For the price of these kimber's they should come with 4!!!
I agree, it would be great in Kimber would at least provide one extra magazine.
I was waiting to see the CRIMSON TRACE IN ACTION but it never really happened.
@Ronnie 948 - that is great feedback, as I did not think about getting that video angle. I will likely shoot again this week and capture some down range video of the crimson trace in action. As soon as I get it uploaded, I will post a link here.

Do you mind me asking what you paid? Sale price and original price? Also what edition is this? I own a micro 9 bel air, which says (special edition) right in the slide.
This is a Cabela's exclusive edition according to their website. I purchased it from Cabela's in Nov 2018, during a sale around Thanksgiving for I believe ~$600. The specific model is the Kimber Micro 9 CSE LG (Crimson Trace Laser Grips) if you google it or look it up in Cabela's web site.
How accurate is the laser? Would like to know if it's worth the extra money. Next time crank up the audio...please.
When it was new out of the box, the laser was shooting a little high and to the left. It comes with the tool (little allen key) to adjust the point of impact. After making the adjustment, the laser is very accurate at 30 feet. I have tried to make a short video, but my camera just will not pick up the red dot with daylight like my eyes do. i can see the dot in pretty bright daylight against the target, but when reviewing on the camera you can't see it. Anyway, my experience is the laser can be adjusted and is accurate.
