Not quite. That is, the re-assembly: first position your slide approximately to the standard place where it rests when the gun is fully assembled, then put the slide stop pin partially into the frame and ALSO into the barrel hook, so that the barrel doesn't go freely back any more, and only then pull the slide back so that the cutout on the slide matches with the one on the frame and push the slide stop fully into the frame. Way easier.
Man I screwed this up a couple times. I kept placing the pin back in but at the wrong position. Your video was more informative than the one I saw previous because you show exactly the site line to use when choosing to insert the pin. With the other video he didn’t really use any words so I just kept having to go by visuals. First he inserted the pin, and then he racked it backwards slightly, and I just kind of had to eyeball where I thought the positioning was. I ended up getting that to work eventually before I saw this video. I wish I saw this video first.
No problem! Never had any issues, been quite reliable so far! Amount of grease is for long term storage, as I see myself using it soon I'll degrease and reuse a lighter oil to prevent corrosion. Thanks for the comment!
I have the same model. My grips don’t have the black lines going down , mine are very light compared to yours . If you want to sell yours let me know, wouldn’t mind a extra pare
