now if you really want to have a fun time hooking up gauges you should try a mitsubishi city VRF unit, those can do heating and cooling at the same time over just 2 pipes going to the distribution box. that system is a real mindbender to wrap your head around. it transports both hot gas and liquid refigerant in 1 pipe.

That’s why you do not use refrigerant gauges. Just a software on your computer and the units have all the pressure transducer’s and thermocouple sensors right on your screen telling you everything..

Awesome video. Love the 'pointers'. Knowing you’re a perfectionist, your graph has a typo in the upper right corner at the 14:46 mark. Condenser is spelled incorrectly. And in the next graphic, 'Always' is spelled incorrectly.

      I'm certainly no perfectionist.
My very very very bad spelling is why I try to avoid using word on the screen.

Good Video. However where I live an work all of our heat pumps are inverter driven, and use EEVs, not TXVs. So using Super Heat and Sub Cooling is not an option for diagnosing. Would love to see an in depth video on inverter mini splits.
    Cheers

Are you sure about Superheat in heat mode because heating doesn’t need the same amount of refrigerant as it does in cooling
