      @@BassManMatteo Elton John started off as a tenor earlier in his career, but his voice has changed and now he's a lyric baritone I think. His most famous songs were recorded when he was younger.

    Higher register from bassist sound different instead their lower register. Interesting

    for basses, 4th octave is so high. I'm not bass though, It's hard to hit F4.

  • @bradycall1889

    If you want to hear basses destroying the 4th octave even better, even though you did good adding Mikhail Zlatopolsky (whom is the only bass on this video whose high notes I really enjoy), you should listen to Jerome Hines, Cesare Siepi, Samuel Ramey, and Nicolai Giaurov (I guess I'm just biased because the guys I listed are operatic bass singers lol).

    Not trying to take any other bass down, but in my humble opinion, the bass that brings the most energy on the tenor/baritone range in this video is Colm Mcguinness!!!
    His high chest notes sound so fluid and loose!!!
    His rocky vibes brings me such a high energy, at the point to remind Marvel/DC or even DBZ biggest fights!!!😍😍😍😍😍 His smoothness singing is butter melting at a higher rate!!!🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩

    You should also include Eric Holloway if you’re making a part 2 to this. He can conquer the upper register with confidence, while shaking the earth with his low stuff!

    • @hugobasilio1303

      Agreed!!
      He is an absolute beast at his upper registers, we shouldn't neglenct the fact that he can go super low, and yet making tons of work to get those the high notes sounding and being strengthened, which I apreeciate and must give all my respect to him, because people don't know how hard it is, what is truly being a Low Oktavist, and what is it like to sing in a place, let's just say that it really is not your beach because you are so used to sing confortable in your modal place, and you did all the best to conquer that.
      The same goes for tenores and baritones!!!

    • @hugobasilio1303

      I just hate people who don't give any recognition for those who want to make their upper limits, sounding so good as tenors and baritones do!

      @@YourlocalNoVAgeek *Don't like is what I wanted to say.
      It just feels he doesn't receive enough attention and recognize for the hard things he does, in order to make a great SongPlaylist!!!

    • @bradycall1889

      @@hugobasilio1303 Well most of the time, Mr. Holloway doesn't have as much vocal weight in the 4th octave as many baritones and tenors do (listen to Lauritz Melchior so that you know what I mean). I do, however, appreciate the fact that he's trying and that for a voice as low as his he can sing quite high chest notes. And there are some occasions in which his upper register has tons of vocal weight, such as in his cover of "Nessun Dorma" in which, at the climax, he sings an F#4.

  • @bradycall1889

    Mostly Zlatopolsky had really good high notes above C4, as well as Vladimir Miller (and to an extent, Peter Barber). Most basses have decent high notes, but not amazing. They don't have that energy that baritones and tenors have in the 4th octave.

    • @YourlocalNoVAgeek

      But they can get pretty close to that with plenty of practice!
