- Hey Guys,
Thanks for taking time to check out my video of N949BZ, coming to market exclusively at www.masonamelia.com . Now, lots to "unpack" about my epic day in Florida... First, we arrived at the @dahertbm North American headquarters in Pompano Beach (KPMP) to meet the plane. This is only the second time I've laid eyes on this magnificent, modern safe 2020 TBM 940, N949BZ. My objective for the day was to photograph and demo my new listing, possibly take a quick spin.
From there, Steve or as many of us know him "Steveo" joined us and offered the demo flight to Key West (KEYW)! It was my first time to the Keys, and WOW, the colors of BZ are striking against the blue waters. I hope you all enjoy the video. Please like, subscribe, and share this post with anyone looking to purchase a late model TBM.
Thank you for watching, and feel free to reach out for any suggestions, comments or questions!

The History of Socata TBM (now Daher TBM)
The SOCATA TBM (now Daher TBM) is a family of high-performance single-engine turboprop manufactured by Daher. It was originally collaboratively developed between the American Mooney Airplane Company and French light aircraft manufacturer SOCATA. In fact, "TB" stands for Tarbes, France where Socata was located, and "M" stands for, you guessed it - Mooney!
The design of the TBM family originates from the Mooney 301, a comparatively low-powered and smaller prototype Mooney developed in the early 1980s. Following Mooney's acquisition by French owners, Mooney and SOCATA started a joint venture for the purpose of developing and manufacturing a new, enlarged turboprop design, which was designated as the TBM 700. Upon its entry onto the market in 1990, it was the first high-performance single-engine passenger/cargo aircraft to enter production.
Shortly after launch, the TBM 700 was a market success, which led to the production of multiple variants and improved models, often incorporating more powerful engines and new avionics. The TBM 850 is the production name assigned to the TBM 700N, an improved version of the aircraft powered by a single Pratt & Whitney PT6A-66D. In March 2014, an aerodynamically refined version of the TBM 700N, marketed as the TBM 900, then the 910 with standard G1000 NXi. The 930 arrived by 2016 with the G3000 flight deck, which was replaced by the 940 with autothrottle and "HomeSafe" autoland in 2019. As a crescendo in 2022, the magnificent TBM 960 has arrived, with the Fadec-controlled PT6E-66XT P&W engine (5,000 TBO). Daher TBM has become a powerhouse in business and personal aviation, around the globe with these impressively performing aircraft.
If anyone has any questions on the TBM, aircraft ownership, or purchasing your first plane (to include a high performance pistons like a Cirrus), I'd love to hear from you, as my full time job is brokering aircraft at Mason Amelia. Feel free to reach out to me, and please subscribe, like, and share.
Thanks for watching. Enjoy!
-Jesse

I appreciate all the viewership and support from everyone. Great comments, but regarding Steveo’s “job.” Steveo’s career is more than strictly being a contract pilot; it’s being an influencer and even representative of several cool products through sponsorship.
I’m not speaking for Steveo, but when a plane sells, that’s merely a transition of his work chariot but not goodby to his job. His job remains spreading his perspective of aviation across anything he encounters, whether it be a rented plane, contract flown TBM, or C172.
Hope this clears it up, and he was super stoked to fly together! Not upset or down at all.
Cheers,
Steveo is the man. I’ve been following him for years now on TH-cam! 🤙🏽🤙🏽
He’s a pioneer and an inspiration, not mention a cool dude. Thanks for checking out the video, Johnny.
Steveo one of my favorite pilots!!! Thanks for letting me ride along to the Keys!!!!
I wish I was better rested, but it was such a cool experience. Thanks for watching!
Poor Steveo! I hope he doesn't lose his job again.
I love SteveO’s channel. He is an excellent pilot and he puts out a cool TH-cam channel. I hope the owner is buying a jet and SteveO can move on over to a net jet plane.
Been in and out of halover a bunch it's tricky I grew up in Miami springs and had 40 hrs and soled I miss flying also my grandfather worked for Eastern Air lines keep up the cool stuff watched Steve for a few years now
This TBM940 was always due to be sold as the owner had ordered another aircraft and was waiting delivery. Seems likely that the new aircraft may be imminent.
The 940 is a sleek beast.
I love all the TBMs, but yes, the 940 essentially has IT ALL!
Always fun to fly with Steve. Greased both landings.
Steveo .... you need to hurry up and win the lottery so that whatever TBM you'll have, you won't have to worry about it being sold out from under you.
It would be awesome if Steveo find his way into a PC12 gig. He’s schmoozing with them now 🤞
Good to see you again Stevo...nice flight.
im here to see SteveO.
Thanks for stopping by!
Great video. Thanks for the tips on using the G3000 for my flight sim
Very good ❤️
SteveO just got into that aircraft. I wonder what's next.
He’s pretty pumped about his Switzerland visit, but I have zero intel on what’s next for him.
Awesome.
Just here for Steveo.
Great ad share. Hope you sell it quickly.
Love the TBM paint!I have N949BZ in MSFS such a beautiful 940!
That's AWESOME. It's a lot of fun. I've spent a lot of time working through my IFR training years ago on MSFS! Thanks for watching.
And remember, SteveO always keeps his hand on the gear lever until he has a confirmed three green...
Steveo feels different for some reason, not happy.
Fisher Island? I was at a wedding there years ago for a Dr friend of mine. We had to take a ferry to get there IN A TUX!
Yes.
Steveo !
Ok thanks
Went there from Lauderdale Exec (Banyon) for lunch. Couldn't drink however. I was the pilot. :(
Okay food and great drinks is no bueno when you’re flying! Even though Steve was PIC, I resisted temptation to drink!
Only thing missing is the parachute like on the Vision jet!
I’ve owned a Cirrus for years, believe in the cute, yet I’ve entrusted my family’s safety to single engine turbo-props.
For the sake of innovation and marketplace competition, I’d love to see a SE turboprop adopt the chute. It makes spouses more comfortable no doubt!
Obviously, the Jet has the chute but missing ~500lbs of payload compared to the TBM. Really comes down to mission specifics.
Is there a Home Safe over ride? If in error! Thanks for sharing.
Sometimes the high-life is hard to handle.
Indeed, but no complaints here!! Thanks for checking out my video, Robert.
Vídeo beautiful❤️
Thank you for watching 🙏
Steve! Hey, would u be able to share publicly what, if any pay or commision u receive fr the brokerage? Totally understand if not, thnx for all u do for the aviation community!
Thanks for checking out my video! Steve came along to demo, as he’s the main pilot for the owner. I’m brokering the aircraft, exclusively, via my company Mason Amelia. Our fees start at 4.9% for sub $1MM aircraft, and we reduce our fee on a tiered structure for the higher price points. My email is jesse@masonamelia.com if you have further questions or interest.
Interesting video, been a stevo fan for years. You got yourself a new subscriber
I appreciate you checking out my video, means a lot. Thanks for subscribing, Matt!
Steveo will you let me tag along? Truly
I love these single engine turbos, but $4 million. Are you kidding me? Versus all the Jets on the market that’s why they don’t stay in one person’s hands long for business purposes
It really just comes down to - versatility, short field performance, efficiency - and tax “problems”…. Sweet machine but expensive, yes!
Are selling another one out from under you Steveo?
How do you know when your ITT and NG isn't working properly and the plane didn't start right?
Hi Bill,
Thanks for checking this out! There are certain parameters that you watch. You’re supposed to see roughly 30% NG (rotation) within 30 seconds and start cycle completed within 60 seconds. If your NG is stagnating and sluggish to start, could be a weak battery and lead to a hot start exceedance! If the engine seems to “hang up” and not increase rotation, may be a hung start, both bad scenarios which may require engine tear down if start is not immediately aborted. Flying the PT6, you must memorize ITT limitations, ie 840 C ITT on start, and never more than 1,000 for 5 seconds!
i am sure there is some trepidation about another ride getting sold
Absolutely!!!! Wouldn’t you?
Steveo seemed nervous for some reason. Not like usual relaxed self. Especially at beginning. Almost distracted so hope he was ok. Still great video with steveokinevo in it.
I appreciate you checking out our video! I didn’t get that vibe from Steveo, but this wasn’t his typical video to promote a plane brokerage. Admittedly, we were trying to have a script that seemed unscripted (albeit much of it inevitably was).
You would too if you could suck up a parasailer or helicopter
@@ivoryjohnson4662 haha, yeah, coast was clear for us, but a little nerveracking🙄
SteveO
Exhaust stacks need to match spinner.
feel like the paint would burn off
@@andrewmassee849 actually... I am acquainted with this Timothy character. He is quite bias to black stacks! Tim - is that painted; what's your experience with them?
At least I can hear the turbo prop this time. And a typical salesman.
No, "it's not a beach of just old people" Many age groups.
Good clarification 😁. Is it worth seeing?
Steveo great shades, what brand is that? Looking for a new pair thx !
I’m 99% that Steveo rocks the Oakleys!
@@LookingforHigherhe does … like a rock star ✌🏽
Steveo is losing another ride? bummer.
Steveo, you didn't say 'tap the brakes'.
I noticed that he didn't on another flight. I wonder if it stops them automatically in the 940.
No offense, but if you're going to do a flight down the atlantic coast from Pompano to KW, show the scenery out of the window instead of the same old shots of the instrument panel or of yourself taking video.
Reason for the video is to sell the airplane.
I'm sold but I am maybe $1.95M short.
That makes two of us!! Please check out www.masonamelia.com/showroom for other great options...including N850E
Thanks!
Good video and Steveo is always great to have along!!!
Thanks for checking this out! Yeah, Steve is a great pilot and being a cool guy - even better!
These controllers need to slow down a bit ! They are talking way too fast ! You agree ?
Hey Stevo, I noticed your fuel selector switched tanks right at rotation speed, is that normal?
well spotted
how can one enter the business?
What’s the next job once this plane sells?
I truly cannot pin his next move, BUT he has several irons in the fire to spawn speculation 🤫 🤷♂️
I believe in an earlier video Steveo mentioned the planes owner already had a newer TBM on order.
Spirit airlines. Lol
If I buy your TBM, do I free flight lessons?
I only have 18 hours in an ultralight, so I might need a few extra lessons.
Let’s work it into the deal!
how much
Asking $4.65MM
If you’d like to learn more, jesse@masonamelia.com
did he just say "a barrel of gas per hour... {to go grab lunch?} ?????????????? ...WHAT!
Steveo always getting planes sold out from under him
Bad carma?
too bad you couldn’t time with auto throttle take off with Top Gun theme song.
Clever 😎
I don’t like low flight. Not enough room if you run into an issue.
The acting in this is horrible, but I'm just here for Stevo
Good thing selling planes pays the bills 😆… because I don’t disagree with you! Thanks for checking this video out. I have a number of TBM videos you might appreciate.
It gave me the impression of a rich guy showing off his rich guy toys, which is not impressive to me.
Neither of us own a TBM… Steveo was here to demonstrate, and me to sell!
Thanks for checking it out.
ANOTHER TBM sold out from under Steveo! WTF! Best economy eveh! FFS.
