Few points, as I’ve been running Stalker Bolter Sniper main. - the 20% increase ammo reserve perk is bugged and gives you unlimited ammo by swapping to secondary and back, and is the only perk you need for ammo currently, allowing you to run either the max damage relic version or the increased ROF, over the ammo capacity. - you don’t need the 5% headshot renewal. Take the reload on stealth instead, and you literally never have to reload. If you fire your first shot from stealth AS SOON AS POSSIBLE when activating stealth, it is recharged and ready to go again by the 2 seconds time that stealth ends, allowing an infinite loop of activate stealth, fire off 12-13 rounds, activate stealth, repeat. No reloads necessary. Just swap secondary and back to refill ammo once in a while. - take the 25% damage below 30%hp perk. Deliberately go down to below 30% hp at start of the game, and have 25% extra damage for the entire match. With 100% stealth uptime, it’s easy to never take any damage anyway so being below 30% hp is no issue. This is what allows this build to out DPS (sustained DPS, not burst) las fusil over the course of whole game. - the 75% ranged damage from stealth, and 100% melee damage perk are both currently buffed and you don’t get the damage bonus. Take invis revive until fixed.
@@gaunt1410 Yo thanks for taking the time to write this comment to further develop on what is covered in the video! I think a lot of people will find this really helpful, me included!!! Thanks :)
Regarding the 75% dmg buff after stealth, there is a discussion going on on @crazymrpipz latest sniper build video. Apparently on consol the perk works as intended. Personally when i started out with the las fusil i had the feeling that i one shot enemies after stealth instead of 2/3 taping them but in the last few games it seemed like it does not work (anymore). At least on PC it seems very inconsistent or not working at all. Thanks for the great advice btw
It works because of the bug with weapon swapping but as soon as that gets fixed I cant see this being comparable to the las fusil. When prioritizing elites youre getting less than 50% ammo restore. So its effectively a worse las fusil with an unlisted 40-50% increased reserve ammo capacity. 2.5 points less firepower in exchange for rapid fire and about 2.5x more ammo. Plus youre not ammo neutral during hordes with the stalker bolt rifle unless each shot is hitting 2 enemies where the fusil is ammo neutral pretty much always. I like that people are branching out, thats how I found the bolt rifle with the grenade launcher setup, but this is a significant step down and requires you to MAX the perks to function.
want a wild build? do this with the carbine in cqc. It's hilarious. The ammo sustain isn't quite enough to just go ham endlessly, but it's close. Pro tip, every weapon can be reload canceled. You only need to get about half way through your reload and you can interrupt it with a melee, weapon swap, or activating camo and it'll be reloaded. You can do a really fluid cloak > mag dump > reload > cancel with a cloak > repeat
I really enjoy this weapon! I have a Las Fusil video dropping later and I do have to say I really like that too. I think the Sniper Class is one of the more well put together classes from a weapon and perk standpoint!
Nice, haven't levelled my sniper yet but will give this a shot, I like this style more than the bigger slower rifles. As always, Extended Mag for an extended mag!
@@randyrandalman2066 You know it! It's definitely a change of pace if that is how you like to play. I'm the same. I prefer the fast firing gameplay. Is it better than the las, nah, it's very fun though!
I'd be interested to see if the stalker bolt rifle can work well on the tactical; focusing on high damage and rewarding good accuracy, also synchronising with auspex scan 🤔
I am disgusted at myself, I don't know how I missed this video. This build looks insane. I like the stalker with the sniper it reminds me of a DMR, I like the rapid fire & mobility of the build
As a sniper you shouldn't knifing extremis and terminus type enemy so I pick the 3rd melee damage +5% and 10% vs chaos to help me deal with minors and majors
Isn't it a bit counter intuitive to take Vantagem point on a build that wants to be more mobile and agile? I agree with you, I don't love the Las Fusille playstile and I do enjoy the Stalker Bolter quite a bit, but then what benefits do you have from playing it if you're gonna use it the same way?
Yo! You raise a fair point. My thought process is that the bottom skill isn't very useful(Melee damage) and the top skill (10% more ammo), is pretty defunct due to how great the ammo economy is on the weapon due to the reloaded restoration perk. With that in mind, this leaves room to squeeze out more damage when you do get the opportunity to stand still for 2 seconds, this is particularly useful against bosses and elites like zoans. By and large, I think most skill trees need some subtle reworks because there are often situations where the perks you pick are no brainers (tactical is really bad for this!) Thank you for taking the time to comment :)
Substantial and ruthless is now easiest to do on my sniper with the stalker bolter. Still I do hope they fix the glitch because now I feel no reason to use my bolt pistol but at the same time I want it reworked to be more like the tacticals full mag on majoris kill but a 50% refill to reserve and not based off hit but actual kill.
@@gaunt1410 not really? majoris go down in 1 shot if u have 95% active or 2 shots under basically any other condition so u kill majoris groups faster and retain stealth for longer since its not uncommon to kill 2 majoris exiting stealth and restealth faster than the bolt and for crowds the auto refill from las just means u just blast 3+ enemies at once per shot and u can spam those shots in those conditions. but that being said realistically everything in this game is viable (though not optimal) so fun factor is all that matters (heck i am now maining assault like a dumbass cos its fun)
@@manhoenguy6104 Due to the mechanics of how quickly you can get a shot off after entering stealth (and thus minimise the stealth cooldown incurred and re-enter stealth straight away) stalker can achieve greater (near constant) stealth uptime and essentially never be able to be targeted by attacks. The Stalker can fire near instantly after stealth activation, allowing an infinite loop of stealth-fire 13-shots-stealth-repeat, which means you can utilise 20% damage from staying still and 25% from under 30% hp for the whole match without worrying about being attacked. The charge up time of the fusil, and the scope time of the bolt sniper mean they cannot achieve the same stealth uptime, generally needing a headshot kill before being able to re-enter, and so occasionally have to dodge attacks. The constant stealth loop also has a CC effect on hordes as they briefly target you for 0.5 seconds before you disappear again interrupting the AI targeting. Fusil also does not have true unlimited ammo and can’t spam to the same degree as stalker or bolt sniper which are unlimited. Fusil has better burst for 1 or 2 majoris but simply doesn’t have the same constant DPS uptime that the stalker has and can’t achieve the same sustained DPS.
Not sure if it matters as much for the sniper but the Balanced Relic knife is actually kinda broken with how fast it is. Been brainstorming builds to replace melta. Try it out, trust me it's interesting.

asking from future:
didnt know that dmg buff from invis was bugged did they fix it in current patch?
As of the 9/26/24 update, looks like they fixed the ammo reserve perk. Just unlocked it today and it does not refill ammo

What would be an amazing QOL is the loadouts also switch to the perks you setup for that loadout.

This weapon out performs las fusil in sustained DPS (not burst DPS) when used maximally, with more survivability.

Melta is the meta on Tactical anyway. The stun and clear from Melta is insanely good with the ammo recovery of the Tactical.
