Wow thank you it worked. Had a repair guy here yesterday and wanted to charge me $307 for some part he said I needed. Told him I buy a new one for 600 more. Found your video thank you. If you start a gofundme I will donate saved me a lot of money. If not I will give $50 to a homeless man the pay it forward. Thank you
Thank you so much, this saved me a call to a repair man and money!!! Being a mom, this was so useful to watch, do on my own and actually worked!! Thank you, thank you!!!
Thank you for this tip! Your video was super helpful and walked us through the exact steps needed to fix the problem! When we opened up the pump filter, we found two pieces of cloth that were blocking the drain pipe! No idea how they got there, but once we cleared them, everything started working normally. Your video saved laundry weekend!
Great video my washer did this with lint packed solid 10 min fix after watching your videos. I unscrewed the the trap and pulled it over the lip caught the water in bucket
All by MYSELFFFFFF, I got it done, All By Mysellllllllffff, YES I DIDDDDDDDDDDDDDD! THANK YOU for posting this! It was easy to follow and gave me the confidence to get on in there and fix it!! Not to mention, the $$$$$$$ I saved!
Thank you x 10!! This video was for my exact machine and exact problem! My room mate had washed a carpet sample while I was traveling and all the rubber backing disintegrated, clogging everything, so the machine was stuck with water in the tub and not draining. 30 minutes after watching this video, I'm going through the cleaning cycle and going to watch for any more problems. Only two suggestions: 1. I used a wet-dry vac to suck the carpet backing gunk (A LOT) that was in the hose beyond the large, hard filter (I only found an old nickel!); 2. Open the storage drawer and put the bucket/pan under the filter opening to catch all the water. Thanks AGAIN!!! PS. Don't show this video to your wife! She'll skin you alive if she sees her bra in the last half!! I know MINE would!
I just fixed our he3t. Cleaned out the coin catcher, wasn’t that dirty. On the back side a plastic piece with a rubber hose attached was all clogged with crap.took it off cleaned it out, reinstalled, works great. Was making the machine believe it was high suds and gave a pump code. You should be able to blow through the hose. Also had a broken shock as good as new
Thank you! Exactly what you showed in your video is exactly what mine had expected I found a few lost baby socks. Thank you so much saved me 1000$ we were about to pull the trigger and buy a brand new washer. This definitely helped us out especially with another baby on the way. Thanks again
I was getting the F02 error code and I couldn’t figure out what was wrong. I came across your video and seems to have solved the problem. Thanks a lot.
I have the same model of Kenmore Elite washer. I had the Sears guy out here to fix mine (it's on an extended warranty) as it wouldn't drain and spin. He overlooked cleaning the trap! Thanks to your video, I was able to get mine working again. By the way, I think it's a good idea to clean the trap about once a year. I found some interesting stuff trapped in there just like you. Thank you for taking the time to post the video.
I don’t usually write comments but I had to thank you for the video. It is a pretty old washer and I was thinking that it’s dead but your video had the perfect instructions and prevented me from a big purchase. Also great heads up on the deluge of water but I was well prepared including scooping out as much of it as possible out of the drum before opening. Thanks.
I love you thanks so much. Like this has been sitting there and Ive been feeling so incapable of doing it and getting down on my knees and putting in work that “probably wont work”. I love the positivity and the aim of your channel. God bless you!
Thanks so much, your video was on the money, saved a service call /repair bill, Thanks again. Oh and I got $1.45 cents plus more junk , we will all empty out our pockets from now on.
thank you. It worked. I have very little in the way of appliance knowledge. We popped it open, cleaned out a couple of quarters and some lint. Draining just fine now. Thanks again!
Excellent video. I found that if you take the screw out at the bottom of the drain plug, you can pull the plug out a little and drain the water into a bucket. This was on a elite 4t.Thanks for the video.
Thank you sir for the "educational video." I have a HE4t which is essentially the same "guts." Worked out well and the culprits were mainly toothpicks and lint. Thanks again.
i have one of these sets.. both dryer and washer too. still using today. i've had to replace the rubber seal once and the only thing that irks the crap out of me is not being able to reverse the door on it. can't figure how, or if you can actually.
Thanks for the video! Check for lost socks inside the rubber rim of the front load opening -- that's where I finally found all of mine and now I check there periodically.
I got a free set these washer dryer set. And the washer didn't have water in tub, but definitely had water still in it as was ridiculously heavy and hear water sloshing . Wonder if this what's wrong?
My washer was having the same issue today, and the pump was making lots of noise but not pumping. I didn't find much in the basket strainer, but what I did find was that the impeller wasn't fully seated on the shaft of the pump. It was far enough down the shaft that it was hitting the housing, I suppose. I pushed it back on, and that seems to have fixed the problem. If it reoccurs, I may have to epoxy the impeller onto the shaft to keep it fully seated.
love it! but I have question though: so if this washer not draining, I am just assuming you did a diagnostics too, was there an error code? if there was, what was it ?
I am just a random washer owner like you not a professional. There was no error code, that I remember, Maybe there was it was 3 years ago. It's an easy thing to check and rule out. The whole point of my channel is everyone can do it if they try. I hope you got it fixed.

Two days without a washer looks like two weeks for our family of 5. Thanks for the tip!
Thanks for sharing this. 4 years later and your video is still helping us all out! Cheers :)
Thank You a TON! Exactly what I needed to fix our washer. Didn't think I could do it, but after watching this, I did it! Saved time and $$$.
Thank you so much, this saved me a call to a repair man and money!!! Being a mom, this was so useful to watch, do on my own and actually worked!! Thank you, thank you!!!
Thank you so much! My washer stopped spinning and rinsing, and I found this video incredibly helpful. It is working now! Hooray...no repair bill!

I got a free set these washer dryer set. And the washer didn't have water in tub, but definitely had water still in it as was ridiculously heavy and hear water sloshing . Wonder if this what's wrong?

Is there a wrong/right way to screw the top back on? Should a little little bit of water leak down during drain/spin?

Can you make a video those are some hard words you’re using. Lol
Depending on how big they are, you might want to dig around in the gasket lip for the missing socks. I found several of my daughters caught in there 🙄
Saved me an easy $150! Thanks!
Great video, I kept forgetting to access the same issue we had
BINGO!
Good video, Sir. I'm going to try this. I hope it works. Thank you so much.
