@@Armanithefolf110Dumb not to talk about it when this game takes things from Dk Jr., and includes Dk. Jr. himself. If you wanna pretend DK3 with Stanley the Bugman doesn't exist, fine
I don’t understand why they never make a true remake of this game. The mechanics are so amazing in regular Mario games all you could do at the time was jump and run a little faster. This had backflips, handstands, triple jumps with a finishing tada at the end, plus all the different play forming elements you use like the clothesline and levers. Man I love this game
Like Pokémon Red and Blue/Green, Donkey Kong was a *Super Game Boy* title. You could play it on your "old timey" Game Boy, or you could use a Super Game Boy adapter (for the SNES) or a Game Boy Color to take advantage of the full color palette(s).
The first 4 stages give Jumpman the jumping and landing skills of (Super) Mario! (He even does flips like Samus!) That had to cut down the difficulty level quite a bit.
@@retrofan4963 I know he's technically the same character, but upgrades made to later versions of a character rarely are gifted to previous versions. (Kind of like wishing Mega Man in Mega Man 1 or 2 could slide or use a charged shot, which don't appear until later games.) Mario's jump (and more importantly, his survivability when he lands) doesn't improve until Super Mario Bros. 1.
0:50 Thanks to the sound chip on the Super NES, Pauline’s call for help sounds more realistic.
This game also deserves the Full-color DX treatment
I love how it’s starts off old school when turns into a huge fantastic adventure
This technically the first game where we hear Pauline's voice.
This game deserved to be called Donkey Kong 2.
There's a thing called DK Jr.
@@berdinactionwe don’t talk about that game I prefer this game a sequel since it’s adds more
My friend DK.jr is literally in this game @@Armanithefolf110

Man I love this game
If it's any consolation, the first Mario vs. Donkey Kong game was like this
Honestly I’ve been saying it for a while, this game needs a remaster like Mario RPG
I think they did it for the gba mario vs dk. but ofc a bigger new version of this could be amazing.
@@fuarkstyle I think that was just a revival of the series, we need either a port of this game or a remake
@@owendinostudios1200especially since the arcade game is really a og , but I also really love the gba version it’s one of the best games imo
Where did you find a rom in color? all the ones I keep finding are in black and gray
If you play it with a Super Game Boy, it gets that added color and border, you’ll need to play it through a SNES emulator

You are aware that Mario is Jumpman right? This game you're seeing of this video made it more clear than ever.
