    In this video we'll discuss the most common FIELD SETTINGS that need to be set on every indoor unit, based on each application and user's preferences.
    I apologize for the dog whining at the end, you can barely hear her, I caught it late in editing and decided to just roll with it.
    Notes:
    • Strip Heat settings not included, I'll make a dedicated video for this soon.
    • Settings and discussion based on a NAV Controller connected to VRV Indoor units, mini-splits were not really included in this video. Mini-splits have much fewer settings available for change, you can select the sensor to be used for room temperature control, and adjust thermo off fan speeds, but that's mostly it.
    • I'll be making another part to this video which covers the other items in the Service Settings Menu not discussed in this video. From a technician perspective, once the Field Settings are set you're good to go, but there are other neat settings in the Service Settings Menu that are sometimes advantageous to set so I want to talk about those too. We'll cover those in a future video.

    Thanks for sharing all you knowledge. I'm not in HVAC but have a FVXS18NVJU and a ceiling cassette in our new construction project. Our cassette is on a controller shown in this video and the floor mount is on a remote. Dumb question but are there advantages to this style of controller vs. a remote? Just curious if I should consider putting my floor mount on this style of controller. Bill--McCleary, WA

    Such a great video!So far I have managed to do the main tasks you talk about in this video.
    But I can't find a way to change the 2°difference above the desired temperature.
    For example the controller is set to swith on at 21°.It switches off when it hits the 23°. I live in a low energy house and 22°is enough,because the thermal lost of the house is no more than 1°for 24 h,at that point.
    In the menu the minimum difference above the set temperature is 2°.Is there an option to change it to 1°?
    The field settings of 22 2-02 have no options at my controller.

    Excellent series of videos on this topic. I have a 2 ton Daiken system with an FDMQ24RVJU handler in the attic and concealed duct work. Default setting for thermistor control is set at 20-2-01. When I changed this setting to 20-2-03 to switch the control thermistor to the NAV and saved the new setting update the new setting does get saved but I get a message that the wire connection is being checked on the NAV display for a few seconds and then goes away. Is this normal? The setting update seems to have no effect on the temperature control (still lagging and over shooting) and the "Room" temperature display on the NAV is still not showing the correct indoor temperature. I would have expected with the 20-2-03 setting that the NAV would show the correct indoor temp if the setting update was successful?? Suggestions as to what me be causing this would be helpful.

    I get an FXSQ54TAVJU with a BRC1e73 controller. In operations, I really need to set the temperature down to 60F, but in my case, the BRC1E73 controller, when I get into Energy Saving Options ----- Setpoint Range Limitation ---- the controller only allowed to get the temperature down to 62F.
    Would you please tell me how do I do?

    • @InverterAlways
      @InverterAlways  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      You want it cold!
      Do you have dual setpoint setup? Usually with dual setpoint you'll only be able to heat to 60 and then cool down to whatever the minimum setpoint differential is set at. Example default is 2F so 60/62 for heat/cool respectively.
      Things can also change when an itm central controller is connected.

      I'm not sure I follow. Electricity readings as in voltage on your wires or you keep losing power? The settings are stored on non volatile memory the only stuff that deletes after a few days is usually the saved schedule and time. But it's has several days before it loses it.

    Hello hope you do a video on how to wire a whole house humidifier on vrv life with s daikin one tstat and translator thanks

    • @InverterAlways
      @InverterAlways  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Humidifiers are tough, I'll definitely have to do a video on this. The daikin one can turn it on/off easy enough, but it's making sure that fan kicks on high when it does. There's usually an output on humidifiers you can use to close a contact on the cxtq coil which drives fan on.

    • @javiercardenas7588
      @javiercardenas7588 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@InverterAlways well I try doing that but the system went crazy on me, so what I did i went to AUX 1 on tstat my question to you is will the thermost power up the fan when calling for humidification? The sequence basically is humidifier transformer 24 volts to auxiliary 1 then auxiliary 1 out to humidifier water valves coil, on that sequence the system accept the wiring but I don't know if I still have to use the set of dry contacts on air handler on any way?

    • @InverterAlways
      @InverterAlways  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@javiercardenas7588 sounds like you're close. You still need to use the humidifier contact on the air handler as of right now. It forces the fan to run when you energize aux1 that way.

    • @InverterAlways
