    In this video we'll be wrapping up the Tips and Tricks series with a video on addressing equipment and setting the field settings. The goal of this video is not to give you the list of settings to program but rather give you some tips to make the programming process go smoother.
    I will be discussing how to set Group Addresses, Indoor Unit Airnet Addresses, and Field Settings on 3 of Daikin's most commonly used controller types - The Navigation Remote Controller, The Daikin Madoka Controller, and the Daikin One Smart Thermostat.

    Came across your vids, very impressive knowledge! Are you able to virtually check controller settings? Reason I ask is I've had a couple contractors work on my system & with the exception of one that works on commercial daikin systems, none was able to go right into the controller and adjust the field settings so I don't know if its setup correctly after a repair. Ideally like to find a contractor in the Dallas, TX area that knows how to work on Daikin system and does residential too,. My big Issue is when the system is in cooling mode, the blower fan continues to blow air even after room temp has been reached. Looking at field settings I was given for the nav controller BRC1E73 is set to off in thermo cool (22-6-03), 22-2- has no setting, was left blank and thermostat is set to control temp set (20-2-03), and (20-5-02). I was told that would shut the fan off when the room temp hits the set point but it doesn't. The fan continues to run, in low mode after compressor shuts off, which dumps all that humidity from the coil back into the room elevating humidity and causing the coils to fail prematurely (I suspect) as they're always wet. I have a multizone system, one outdoor unit connected to multiple indoor ducted units (3 FMDQs). Outdoor unit is 4MXS36RVIVJU. Hopefully I got all those codes, correct. Trying to read them off Field Setting sheet that was left with documents.

      The issue you're going to run into is that you have a mini split fdmq. That unit does not share the same settings as vrv which is most of what I cover on this channel. There is a separate sheet of settings for that unit. You will need to change the heat and cool deadband settings separately from each other that's why 22 2-** was blank. It's a bit of a pain to dial in and you'll need to adjust slowly, little by little and let the system acclimate then re adjust until it feels dialed in.
      If you email me (contact info in the about section of the channel) I can send you the list of settings.
      I dont personally know anyone in Dallas however if you Google daikin reps there are a couple that should pop up that know daikin.

    Hello! Thanks for your helpful videos, I was able to understand a little more how my HAVC system works. I have a question: is it possible that in heating mode, with a lower setpoint than the temperature detected by the controller, the fan occasionally runs for about ten seconds while if I set cooling with a higher setpoint than the temperature detected in the same mode in the field settings (LL mode, 01), it keeps going indefinitely?

    • @InverterAlways
      @InverterAlways  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      There is a lowlow setting for cool, separate from the setting for heat. However, any time you have it set to lowlow it should stay on lowlow continuously when not heating/cooling (thermal off). It would only shut off if the outdoor goes into defrost or if the unit is completely shut off.

    Hi, is it possible for you to show every field setting mode page in a future video? All the other settings have been jumbled on mine so it would be nice to have a base line

    • @InverterAlways
      @InverterAlways  ปีที่แล้ว

      Great question. There has been some lists compiled over the years, but you will need to reach out to your daikin rep to get these lists. To date, there is still no single list that gives us all the settings. Some settings on the indoor units are meant to be unchanged. Obviously if folks accidentally change the wrong one things can be challenging to fix. That's why we stress so hard in classes NOT to change the wrong setting and always go from install manual of indoor unit to the stat. I am not allowed to give out the lists I have, unfortunately, but if you reach out to your local daikin reps you should be able to get "something," can't promise anything though every region is different.

    Great show!! quick question that i cant seem to find the answer to on any spec sheet. How low can VRV/VRF compressors modulate to? Typical mini or multi splits can do something like 25-35% capacity before they need to shut down, are the VRF compressors about the same? What happens if one of the units is smaller than the lowest capacity the compressor can modulate to but still calls for refrigerant (if the rest of the units have are already at setpoint) ?Many thanks!

    • @InverterAlways
      @InverterAlways  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      They can ramp down to like 15 percent give or take don't quote me on it. You can see minimum speed in service manuals though for each system.

    Any idea why my mode 20 comes up as 2-02 as factory and not 2-01 like the manual says?

    • @InverterAlways
      @InverterAlways  6 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Yes, some indoor models default to return air for control out of the box. Most default to 01. And fxtq defaults to 03.

    Just to clarify as im a little confused, so on the madoka controller i need to be in group address setting not group (unit) to set up an address for each unit for the itouch? I have 9 units on their own controller.

    • @InverterAlways
      @InverterAlways  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I prefer group(group) but if you only have 1 indoor on one stat it won't make a difference using group(group) or group(unit).

      On the Madoka controller going in via the engineers/installer mode, in the address setting there's only IU option no Airnet or Group options?

    hello ! it was a nice and helpful video. I have been watching your videos you were a big help. you also helped me on communication issue a while ago, thanks for that. I know this is unrelated to this video but i faced some issue and seeking your support, thanks.
    a daikin vrv 3 inverter outdoor unit model (RXYQ12P7W1B) blown out some resistor on the invertor board model ( TYPE: PC0509-1(B) MODEL: CIMR-POD45P5AF-E). I replaced the inverter board with a new one but it got blown again after a while starting only the fan. I disconnected and checked the compressor its reading is okay. what causes this ? thanks !

    • @InverterAlways
      @InverterAlways  ปีที่แล้ว

      Have you checked the fan motors? Those can cause the board to fail if the motor is shorted.

      @@InverterAlways Dear Dana, thank you for replying me. I didn't actually check the fan specifically, but when the system started both fans seem to be working fine through visual inspection. unless you want me to unplug the fan and take measurement, check the windings.

    Thank you for all your guide.You are very good instructor.
    Would you help me please.I have the DAIKIN VRV Classic Inverter RXYCQ12A7Y1B and in my case I have that issue on the PCB:
    the H2P and H8P is blinking and H5P is ON.The compressor and fan does not working.The 3 phase is ok.
    Thermostat(NAV remote controller I mean)display indoor units shows: Error button Menu on three of internal units and for other 2 units: Clean filter.
    5 internal units are installed.
    Can I bypass the Standard Compressor 1 ?
    I didn't press enter to show the error
    I thing the compressor does not have sufficient refrigerant,but can also working the compressor and fan without refrigerant?Thank you!

    • @InverterAlways
      @InverterAlways  ปีที่แล้ว

      Well, you'll probably need to check communication. H2p blinks when it's not seeing anything on power up. It cannot initialize.
      Also, is this a single outdoor unit or twinned system? Usually if someone presses the buttons wrong they change the h3p light on accident. Happens alot actually. With h5p on press set once I believe this should make h3p blink. Then press return once it should go solid. That corrects your h5p issue. Then go check communication and see where the outdoor is losing com. Likely between outdoor and branch box, maybe branch box is powered off or if you don't have a branch box maybe the wire from f1f2 at the outdoor is broken before first indoor. Either way usually, h2p blinks forever when there's no communication. I can be wrong though so check with your local support personnel.

      Thank you for your instructions.The outdoor is sigle unit.
      I have a question:the compressor and fan from outdoor unit can work(run) without refrigerant(if the compressor does not have refrigerant)?

    • @InverterAlways

      @@aureliancioroiu8178 no, you cannot run without refrigerant. Ignore what I said about a branch box you don't have one. Check com from outdoor to indoor.

      2 indoors 1 stat? Unit number 0 and unit number 1. Forced fan from stat to figure out which is which then at airnet use unit number and set each accordingly.
