Because maybe the stage 6 fight with Okina was not really the 'final' boss fight. Okina was just trolling with the protagonists because in the end she will just absorb our power and eject us from that place. It means she did not have the intention to fight the protagonists head on at all. Perhaps that is why the rhythm seems rather melodic , giving an impression of "do your best but you know you wont win against me" boss. Heck, Okina was lounging on a chair the whole fight, smirking at us.
Atsushi Kakeru because she's a clever, greedy little sinnamon bun. I honestly love her, I didn't expect myself to when the game first came out, but I just saw her portrait and fell in love. ZUN's idea of having the "final boss" not be the true finale was pretty different for him, repeating a character as the extra boss so she can get that last say, and present her true power.
She and Yukari (who have her theme is in this them as a leitmotif) are the only one that are toying with us in their fight Heck, Okina have a Extra stage to show her "seriousness" while Yukari just only have one stage but still give us more fear than Okina with some flipping Gaps and Borders
I really love how you made the Necrofantasia reference at 2:20 more apparent. I always had trouble hearing it in the original, but here it's a lot more obvious. As someone who adores Yukari's theme, this is some good shit
1:58 That part sounds a little off. As if it rushed to the next note. Your remake was pretty neat, although I feel that the instruments sound a tad bit off together. Primarily near the beginning. Otherwise, I feel that this remake is just woooonderful along with everything else you've done thus far! Keep it going!
Yay, i'm glad to hear that. I wasn't confident enought about this theme, i wanted to make it sound stronger and more epic than the original, and i made around... more than 15 versions of the theme with thar purpose. At the end i decided to upload this one, so i'm glad taht you like it :3
Yeah, I can imagine it wouldn't be an easy task to do so. In my eyes, the original wasn't meant to sound more strong considering the fact that she isn't giving it her all. Although seeing a tougher version would be ear candy, most likely. Your attempt is still very great, however. I say it once again, excellent work!
Step aside, Kanako. I've got a new favorite final boss theme. I'm one of those people who likes this better than her extra stage theme, although the latter is growing on me...
You too huh? Guess almost all of the Touhou arrangers I follow feel the same way you felt about this theme. Liking the theme as is, but not liking it as a final stage boss
Imho Four Season is pretty much telling her character(like Junko, and Sumireko, Kokoro's theme)(also i really prefer these kind of song rather than being all "majestic" like other final boss theme. However i can forgive Yuyuko and Byakuren(both actually tells their past) and PC98 Final(Nostalgia)) All Season, however, telling her true power. So that's why people found 4 Season aint feel "final"
Ah, that makes sense. This theme tells of her character, while the other one tells of her true power. To most anyway. I personally love this theme more than All Season, because I feel it also tells a story and has a more traditional structure, rather than just showing off who she is. But at least now I can get why many people and arrangers, like Williatico here, prefers the other theme.
Nice arrange ... Is it just me or some parts of her theme actually sounded kind of sad? I do not know her story at all. Been skipping Touhou since DDC.
So I'm not the only one who thought it sounded strangely melancholic? As far as I'm aware, there aren't any particularly sorrowful elements of her backstory, aside from the fact that so few people know about her... but if someone knows more, feel free to correct me.
It happens all the time. No worries, people will get used to her and then she'll just be adored. I want to see Touhou 17 already, knowing the interesting implementations this game has offered us.
For a while, I've been trying to nail down why I don't really like this theme in its proper context, fighting Okina. Now I know after reading the video description. In my opinion, this track seems much more like an intense Stage 6 theme, like the one from SA. Other than that, I can't help but feel like the song is retreading Necrofantasia, Esotericist of the Present World, and Pure Furies. I personally can't bring myself to consider this song fit for a Stage 6 *Boss*, and the song doesn't feel unique enough to me to give the character it's tied to her own identity in the form of music. Maybe her Extra Boss theme gives her more of an identity, but I'd have to go re-listen to it to be sure.
Can anyone helo me find that guitar that plays at the beginning, i think it's called the Rickenbacker??? ill try to find a way to pay you back if you do, wether it may be some art or support.
To be honest, I like this more than her extra theme.
I think it's got a more subdued feeling because she's not coming at you with her full power, she's pretty casual about the fight
Coco777 yeah, the real fight with her is in the extra.
2:17 Please
BraviNoname well yes, i feek like that part means "remember you are against a Sage of gensokyo"
Kasen's 14.5 may be serious but isn't as climactic as this.
Don't forget kids, Lunatic is harder than Extra. Meaning Stage6 Okina is stronger on Lunatic than her Extra form.

@@namnguyenphuong2610 In fairness, Hecatia was basically playing around as well..

2:21 I hear you Necrofantasia!
2:31 I hear you Pure Furies.
Ran Yakumo : I don't exist Yukari - Sama...
I think this music is like, "Oh, so you arrived. What? You expected something more? *Grandness* Here goes the grandness you wanted"
I think she wasn't serious in this fight, her extra theme sounds more of a final boss fight theme
2:17 Please.
Her Extra theme is more melancholic and her S6 one is more optimistic.
She wanted to get rid of Aya btw.

1:43 this part onwards is very final boss-ish.
Bravinoname
I see you everywhere, uh.
Hi. (?)
TheSquirrel I'm the Yukari of youtube.
PS : this is not true
Bravinoname
I have also seeing you around in some touhou videos
Still not as omnipresent as Gabriel Barsch
what about tabbender or fujiwara no komoumo?
And as I expected, you made the best midi anyone could!!!
I'm waiting patiently for her EX theme
Make me proud will-senpai :3
Yay thanks! And I hope so :D

Well, i love her both themes jaja...
1:09 little smiley faces
A por el extra!
>w
every time I hear this theme always makes me feel of jazz or elevator music
should remixed in jazz... haha. Just my opinion
this guitar is ecstatic
ye ye ye was eager for you to finally release this♥
The mixing is a bit off, but it sounds fuller than my version, nice
That cloth color tone matches well with koishi, I was confused for seconds
Okina is a Voltron.
She has Yukari's power and hair color, Junko's face, Koishi's palette, and Byakuren's runes on the door.
We need Kijin Seija to give her power of mind-reading instead of unconsciousness
(But I love koishi more)
Junko's flames and sea spellbackground but recolored. And Seija's viciousness.
Somebody kicks ya out of da door!

2:20 to 2:29 feeling some vibes from Necrofantasia from Perfect Cherry Blossom (Starts on 1:10 th-cam.com/video/pkCvBdrzOPo/w-d-xo.html)
Yeta
What part of Maiden's Capriccio?
Why do people hate her so much?
It's the new-touhou cycle. This community can be pretty stupid sometimes
It happens all the time. No worries, people will get used to her and then she'll just be adored. I want to see Touhou 17 already, knowing the interesting implementations this game has offered us.
Lid CrystalFax Same
I wonder what ZUN give us for 2hu 17
Another secrets of Gensokyo?
Serious and deadly insident?
Hmmm....
+Lunartic Skele-bone waifus
Lunartic Skele-bone *unironically hopes for Mima*
I almost beat her on normal as Reimu, curse me being stupid and bombing instead of using the shield spells to protect my dumb self

Hey, this is pretty cool! Question though. Is there a midi download available? I recall seeing download links for a few other covers you did.

The preset it's called Rickenbacker, it's from the Kontakt library Electri6ity
Final boss song right?? I don't understand
Ugh, I want to like this theme, but the fight and the character are both somewhere between meh and godawful so it's an uphill battle
spacepirate369 her final spellcard is pretty good though
Felt like Necrofantasia
yeah there is a leitmotif from Necrofantasia in there
Junko is that you?
