It is SO FUNNY with the context of how masterful an artist Julia is -- with how otherwise fairly comprehensive her drawing skills are, especially when it comes to structures, anatomy, details, and realism. And then... characters from memory. Like, I watched the Drawing Faces VOD when she just fuckin' whipped out a near-perfect Henry Cavill, lined up her drawing with the photo she was using for reference, and almost EVERY FEATURE lined up EXACTLY. And the Celebrity Drawing Challenges. She is an EXCEPTIONAL artist. And these kinds of episodes, while very funny and entertaining, I think are really important to see -- that everyone has weaknesses and blind spots. Thank you, Julia and the rest of Drawfee, for being willing to talk about and show your weaknesses and blind spots. Your honesty is validating and uplifting, and I love so much that you can razz each other with love and support while you do it.
For me, the funniest part of the whole ordeal is that she has the line confidence, she has the skill. I would do terrible at this challenge too, but seeing such a competent artist struggling is amazing

The day this episode came out, my dog had just had surgery. I ended up watching this in the middle of the night while I was up babysitting her. I was delirious from exhaustion and worry. When they got to Arthur, I was laughing so hard that I burst into tears. This episode is now one of my all-time favorites. Thank you Drawfee crew, especially Julia. You made a hard time a little bit lighter. PS, my dog is doing great. She's fully recovered. Not even cancer could stop her.
Drawfee is really important in showing that fantastic career artists can still have weaknesses. Because Julia has unparallel craft when she’s in her game and that’s intimidating to people trying to get into art. But knowing even she has trouble sometime is really uplifting I feel.
Seeing the Drawfees do so well in the first 5 minutes was like getting a happy ending in a book and realising you have only just reached the halfway point

The genuine joy of this video is not just the chaos of THE reveal, but the lead up to it. Spoilers for those who have yet to survive the entirety of this incredible video: Nathan's journey to the answer was incredible, and I was on that same journey at the same time. Just put that on screen -- that's how Julia draws. Now look at Tom and Jerry again -- that's the same person." It is SO FUNNY with the context of how masterful an artist Julia is -- with how otherwise fairly comprehensive her drawing skills are, especially when it comes to structures, anatomy, details, and realism. And then... characters from memory. Like, I watched the Drawing Faces VOD when she just fuckin' whipped out a near-perfect Henry Cavill, lined up her drawing with the photo she was using for reference, and almost EVERY FEATURE lined up EXACTLY. And the Celebrity Drawing Challenges. She is an EXCEPTIONAL artist. And these kinds of episodes, while very funny and entertaining, I think are really important to see -- that everyone has weaknesses and blind spots. Thank you, Julia and the rest of Drawfee, for being willing to talk about and show your weaknesses and blind spots. Your honesty is validating and uplifting, and I love so much that you can razz each other with love and support while you do it.
For me, the funniest part of the whole ordeal is that she has the line confidence, she has the skill. I would do terrible at this challenge too, but seeing such a competent artist struggling is amazing

The day this episode came out, my dog had just had surgery. I ended up watching this in the middle of the night while I was up babysitting her. I was delirious from exhaustion and worry. When they got to Arthur, I was laughing so hard that I burst into tears. This episode is now one of my all-time favorites. Thank you Drawfee crew, especially Julia. You made a hard time a little bit lighter.
PS, my dog is doing great. She's fully recovered. Not even cancer could stop her.

Drawfee is really important in showing that fantastic career artists can still have weaknesses. Because Julia has unparallel craft when she’s in her game and that’s intimidating to people trying to get into art. But knowing even she has trouble sometime is really uplifting I feel.
Nobody can be an expert in everything! There are only so many hours in the day!
I love how at certain points you can tell how hard Julia is laughing based on how many pauses there are between brush strokes

Nathan's journey to the answer was incredible, and I was on that same journey at the same time. After putting the mic down, tears in his eyes, he asks, "Y'all remember that cartoon where everyone has the same face and they just stare directly at you..." The second he said that, I envisioned the opening of King of the Hill, where all four of the guys are hanging out in front of the fence, and, in beat with Nathan, had the same horrific realization.
"That's... That's -- NO, JULIA, THAT'S BOBBY HILL?!?!?!"
The best part is he says "no" not "oh" like he speedruns the stages of grief so fast xD
Believe it or not the wildest thing in this episode for me was not The Bobby Hill Incident but rather the epiphany that Piglet wears a sweater and is not in fact ribbed like an earthworm
