The "poor pussy" game was actually a popular parlour game (for adults) in the Victorian Era. I do historical research about the Victorian Era and you would not believe the psychological damage I have taken during the years.

I'd say after that era, digital games overtook and children's group games became less popular. I am not surprised group party games stuck around for so long, since there was no alternative of entertainment, really. But then they were quickly forgotten. Even youth organisations like scouts and some like afternoon kids groups struggle nowadays bc kids seek other forms of playing than made up in-person games.
Idk how to explain it well but I guess yall know what I mean. If you have mario party at home, people don't wanna go to a kids group and play chair-circle games anymore. There are so many games I played in my scouts group, even I don't remember them all. None of them are played anymore, I am sure.

I am so “mad” that I spent all this time trying to interpret the Morse code, failed, gave up, and stewed in my disappointment for the whole rest of the video, just for Karina to say it was a link to their merch store like the QR code was. this definitely was the most annoying morse i've dealt with in a while cause they're just speaking over it there's no way you can get it through the slow method if one beep or boop is covered by talking. i got like the first three letters and only from guessing it was the same link (then confirming it was by checking the comments :p), then translating the link to morse, and listening back to check it matched could i confirm that it was.

During college, my friend found a book from 1940 about how to plan a party and Poor Pussy was one of the featured games in it. She told our whole friend group to show up in 1940s attire and threw a party based entirely on the instructions in this book. We couldn't even get through the description of Poor Pussy without losing it, never mind the actual game.

Do Not Worry Mrs! As a video game is one of those kind of simulator games where you have a simple task and complicated controls. She watches you as you clean up her 1950's home and the more mistakes you make, the more nervous she gets until she explodes. If you want it to have some absurdist humor her explosion has the power to destroy the earth

absolutely thrilled to tell you, that we played Poor Pussy all the time in kindergarten. Except in germany we call it Armer Schwarzer Kater (literal translation: poor black male cat) and until now I just assumed it was a weird german thing. Special moves included randomly throwing in different animal noises, like from a rooster or a cow.

Example: Nathan is king of dinosaurs in a prehistoric world; Karina uses a Digimon deck in a YuGiOh-esque dimension; Drawtectives Julia in an isekai full of vampires; and Jacob is the leader of a bunch of little guys rebelling against hot villains.

The sculpture in Philly that Jacob was talking about is the statue of Balzac by Rodin, one of my favorite statues. He was asked to design a statue in Balzac's honor and he insisted on doing a draft in the nude.

On a weirdly truthful note, if you’re under a LOT of stress, you’re body can do crazy stuff.
My sister, who at the time was going through some horrible stress (because of her now ex), was at work, and her coworkers asked if she was okay. She said she was fine, and they were like, no you’re not, look in a mirror. She did, and the whole side of her face had puffed up like an allergic reaction.
Nathans section of the ARG has put me into a fugue state... It's like listening to the "I had a dream" kid, but fully distilled to its concentrated essence.
When I saw "Do not challenge works" i imagined someone ordered a burger 🍔 with "THE WORKS" and gets upset to find the works includes pineapple but doesn't include onions, so he wants to complain but can't because of the sign.

"Mrs." looks like Miss Langtree if she was having a terrible allergic reaction to the potatoes and molasses
that's probably not entirely accidental. Miss Langtrey is based off the "Gibson Girl" character, which was a common look for young women around late Victorian to Edwardian times - the same time that the Mrs drawing presumably takes place.
From what I know from being a history nerd and a film sister, the film arriving at station reacted but like little jumps or shooked at first, like how people playing in vr will jump even though they know everything is fake. Definitely not running out of the theatre
I've heard that, too. It makes sense, especially when you consider that real life did, in fact, have color back then. Bit of a giveaway. If you want to make 1890s moviegoers shit their pants, you gotta time-travel back with some quality, full-color, high-def train footage. Commit to the bit.
What confuses me is that in the film, the train isn't even coming towards the camera; the camera is safely on the platform. Assuming these people were familiar with trains, a train pulling into a station isn't even a startling image. So why would they be startled by a film of it?

Hey Drawfee folks
I just wanna take a minute to express my gratitude. I've been going through a tough time lately and Drawfee episodes and streams have really really been helping me. I've been having a heightened bout of trauma-related anxiety the last few months, and also missed some doses of testosterone (lots of reasons, I'm back on a steady dose now) so the hormone fluxuations have been really adding to it. I also have non-24 sleep disorder so half the time I'm on nocturnal hours and it can be really isolating and lonely.
Basically Drawfee has been helping me get my mind off things, help ground me, and (yes, parasocial relationships etc etc) helping me feel less alone during the times I'm basically by myself for a week because I'm on opposite sleep schedules to most everybody else.
The platform and space you guys have cultivated around it has been such a source of escape and a good option to lean on when I'm feeling out of sorts (don't worry, I'm in therapy, I don't put all my eggs in one basket--to me media like this isn't a solution, I use it more as a tool among many to help respond to distress.)
I've been a Drawfee fan since like 2016 and a patreon member for a few years now. Recently it's been exactly what I needed to have a place I can come to feel welcomed, that's trans-affirming (I can't quantify how helpful that's been recently,) and where people are going to be lovingly silly and I can laugh and feel kinda normal and safe and grounded for a while.

SAME… I need to know and simply cannot be bothered to do it myself. Checked the QR code that flashed and it was a merch store plug but that’s the extent of my effort here lol.
I've been messing with the audio extract to try to isolate it, but I can't get a version without some pieces of Nathan's voice which makes hearing the stops very difficult.
If anyone knows the trick on how to totally isolate a specific frequency from a sound file, the beep is around 530hz.
I'd appreciate advice!

The first sign I know from experience to be necessary. In a part of my misspent youth there were an absolutely catastrophic series of misadventures during a Parisian holiday with friends, leading through several police stations, medical facilities, and an unusual number of railway fires. Near the end of this sequence of events it was apparently my turn in the ambulance, and because apparently our mutual parents had just started to hear about what was happening. I decided to do the right thing and send an extremely efficient update on the situation and suggestions for next steps to my mother, in the form of a text message reading "In Hospital. Don't worry."
But did she Don't Worry? No. No, she did not in fact Don't Worry.
Clearly, a sign like this would have been essential in her household.

Day 2 of suggesting what I will now call the “Google Slides Challenge”. A challenge where the artists have to make drawings using only the shapes and line tools available in Google Slides.
My favorite challenges have involved working within constraints, and I think it would be cool to see what you all can do with a very limited and not optimal tool set.
Suggestion: you should try drawing Discworld characters based on their names or descriptions! There are so many incredible characters, like Nobby Nobbs, Moist von Lipwig, and the Hogfather!

suggestion: disney characters as d&d pcs, as inspired by abd illustrates! take a character, give them a background, race, and class, and draw em! maybe make it a speed draw?
Suggestion: A twist on the Cropped Image drawing challenge you've done before. Now the cropped image is one of your old drawings from a previous episode chosen by one of the other hosts. I.E. Nathan picks one of Jacob's old drawing and crops a random section of it. Then Jacob makes a new drawing from just that cropped section without knowing which of his drawings it was taken from.
