It'd be really interesting to know the demographic of the viewers; Of course the old-schoolers dig it, but I truly hope that the young skaters would be earmarking this, too, as the amount of golden nuggets of history and information is just so incredible! KEEP IT UP!
I love this podcast and I learn ALOT in a way that I relate to. My personality is literally a mix of Ellis and Tony. For the record, Im 33, gained interest in skating 4 years ago and started skating a year ago. not a super young skater but i feel young skating! im in the middle i guess lol definitely an ill podcast for the noobs who give a shit
Great show guys! I have a 9yr old daughter who is starting to be interested in skating. I got to pull out my original Alva FS3 and my given deck and show her them. Her eyes lit up. Actually all of the neighborhood kids were going nuts over the boards and youtubing clips of our skating pioneers. I pulled a couple of nice ollie's and 50/50's before cracking my 45yr old a$$. Frickin instant cartoon bump but they witnessed it anyway
I’ve purchased many a t shirt for myself, friends, and fam from everybody skates. Amazing stuff. Amazing dude. The Ali 360 flip still my favorite! ✊🏽✌🏽
Watching those H-street videos at Mcgills, it was incredible seeing such creativity on vert and mini ramp. Alph made technical NBD tricks look almost possible to me and my friends because he did them with such apparent ease. One of the smoothest, most innovative skaters of all time.
Alf has been around for a long time man, he’s the skater BAM said he wrote a report about for black history month way back in school. They asked BAM who is Alphonzo Rawls??…. BAM said “the best black skateboarder ever”
So thankful for this podcast! Tony being the legend that he is and Jason being the badass he has always been. The best part about this is that I get the insight and/or back story from all the guys that I either played on the video game or watched soooooo many time on old school skate videos before we all went out and skated. I'm 32 and my younger life for like 12 years was skating. I fucking love this portal back to that time. I'm a KCMO skater and I know he's a younger Pro but I would love to see Sean Malto on this pod! He probably won't remember me but for me, one of my best memories was skating the slabs with him! As he fucking shredded. Love you guys. Keep it up
Great episode 🤘🔥 hope your healing up ok Tony, I’ve broke my ankle the other week, I’ve done nothing since but your up and about in days…. Respect ✊ pure dedication 🤘
Alphonzo is awesome 😎 him & Cab would speak how I felt bc I love anything skateboarding ya know transition, street, freestyle, all of it I considered skateboarding and never separated the classes bc they are all fun. Anything under my wheels is skatable. I love Al’s EVERYBODY SKATES clothing 😄 it’s so funny. I’ve been wanting the thriller grab t & hoodie
Falling in love with the process of weightlessness is skating in it's entirety. Jason broke up the room like a true stand up comedic murderer. 'How to get the wind to git cha back' I remember watching Caballeros back yard in Fremont full of you guys during the quest for won-tons. Bird Man will Fly Again! #nohashtag #thebirdmanwillflyagain #everbodyskates #jasonellisstandup
ALf gave me great props on my art sorta recently, SUPER GRATEFUL for that. Tony has liked a couple of my drawings too. Jason...... nope! All good. HAHAHAHAHA
I'd bet a million bucks it was Art or Steve Godoy throwin the N-bombs, especially when he said Iron Cross was part of that house cuz that was their brand.
If a nollie 540 goes down at the plan b ramp and nobody's there to film it did it happen? The fact that Tony can confirm is acceptable in replacement of footage.
A broken femur will not ground the Birdman; Tony Hawk’s one of the most dedicated perfectionists in the history of sports. He will come back stronger through sheer determination and focus, the same way he evolved into the greatest skateboarder that ever lived; The Michael Jordan of skateboarding!
The racist part at the beginning of this video was interesting. I think they’re talking about the H-Street guys that were in that first video who I won’t mention. Alf Is an amazing skater and I’m happy he’s getting his recognition.
Yeah. I skated McGills park during that era around Alf and everyone else. That was one of the Godoy brothers. I don’t remember which one. I hope they grew up and stopped the racism and asshole behavior.
@@lanceskydiver Right? Whatever, I always skipped through that part of the video anyway. I’m happy Alf is still around and still known for his sick style
@@ronnenvallejo7444 Exactly. I always skipped over their parts in those first vids because I knew what kind of guys they were and any respect for them was gone. Alf, being as progressive a skater as he always was, deserves total respect and praise.
@@lanceskydiver Word. Im also happy that I’m seeing signs of better awareness between skaters when it comes to race nowadays. Sure it can still get bad but, it just seems like everyone is not really talking like that anymore. Which is awesome
Dudes a race grifter making money off of supposed" racism". Like the clan really exists anymore. Tried talking to him about what race is doing the most killing in this country but he didn't want to hear that. Just wants to blame whitey. Typical.

Alphonzo was a little before my time, but I'm going back and watching any footage I can find. The dude SHREDS.

Did yall find the Levi commercial I think it's on "long forgotten videos" TH-cam.
1:18:00, had to look up TSOL Code Blue lyrics... Hilarity.....
Everyone loves this dude. If you know skating… you obviously know Alf.

Just listened tk code blue! Great song .. but nit family friendly 😆
So good as always 😄🛹
I gotta get one of those "Hawsoi" decks!
Imagine hearing an advocate for cannabis use as a creative professional when you were in high school. Fuck man what a time to be alive
Ohhh hell yeah! This is gonna be epic..
Alphonzo is/was a great skater. Progressive H street.
Super good interview
What is that glitter deck behind Alphonzo? I need one - anyone have the model name?
One of Tony's Demo's from his company
Great stuff - when is Danny Way getting interviewed?
Great question

Alf and Rodney Mullen need to do a podcast together

He's on Nine club today.
@@AwareWolfOnWheels that’s why I said it

How about Dan strut interview
Makes me miss my chad muskas with the stash pocket
