Today I'm giving a studio tour of my livestreaming setup for musicians who want to get into streaming on TH-cam or Twitch or whatever other platform they desire. I'm not really going super into detail about the EXACT step by step instructions on how to live stream or set everything up (if you want that, let me know) rather just telling you what I use to accomplish my streams.

This video didn't get that much traction but I'm glad it's at least helpful to someone. I've been using this setup for streaming since COVID so it's been really reliable for me. Only thing I can say is I can't get the screen capture to work on my M1 Pro. Only intel. Not sure why.

I really need some help with this. I have a small Yamaha mixer, three very good normal microphones for vocals and instrument, two sets of powered speakers, and an acoustic/electric guitar. What do I need to get a high fidelity sound directly from my mixer with a Chromebook live? I`m so confused. I`m on disability. I don`t need studio tricks...just a way to get a crisp, clear, non distorted sound from the mixer without having to spend a fortune. I`m on a very small disability income.

You need a high fidelity mixer from what I believe. There isn't some software type of way to do that. It comes down to your hardware, which unfortunately looks like you'd have to buy something.

Dope video! I am trying to figure out which platform to focus on. TH-cam is my home base but the ability to live stream music on TH-cam makes it nearly impossible to get found (from my experience) I don’t see really any live music happening on TH-cam. Maybe it is I just can’t find it. And I’ve heard rumblings about Twitch going away since some prominent gaming streamers left for TH-cam. What are your thoughts??

Twitch is the number one live-streaming platform on planet earth. It’s not going to go away because a handful of gamers left, 2020 was the biggest year it’s ever had. However I personally wouldn’t bother with twitch unless you have an already established audience. It’s next to impossible to grow there u less you’re streaming for years and years and years. My friend has been on for 5 and only has like 100 followers…
TH-cam there is WAY more discoverability. You get the functions of it being the number one video search platform in the world as well as how easy it is to stream and grow (uploading regular videos).
What do you mean about the ability to livestream music makes it impossible?

First off thank you so much for the thoughtful response. You earned an instant subscription! And my thoughts were that I don’t see ANY independent musicians who livestream on TH-cam the way I see them on Twitch. If you search for live music on TH-cam you’ll get stuff like lofi girl 24/7 streaming. I know part of what I need to do is have a better title strategy and value add for my audience instead of “merely performing” which is what I believe I see a lot of on Twitch. Additionally I am questioning if poor piano/singing based TH-cam livestream numbers will adversely affect my regular TH-cam videos which are at this point geared towards music production. Also side note, Reddit has been an incredible streaming platform for musicians but there’s no monetization options there at this point

Google Chrome locked me out of my TH-cam videos.
I've been doing since the pandemic
impossible to retrieve my password had to start all over.
Different TH-cam channel with only 42 subscribers.

Amazon. If for apple, you can only buy ram if your computer had upgradable ram. Otherwise you need to buy it pre-upgraded.
