I did it the other way. I focused on my 9 to 5 and put music second. I always thought, in the back of my mind, that was the wrong way. But more and more, I see signs that it was the right move for me. Seeing this video renewed that feeling. I respect this. And you still have the ability to make great music.
I did it that way too. I wasn't always self-employed and in fact I'm making a video on my 20-year journey that I will post next. I started out working at Old Navy and made music when I had time off, it wasn't until like 10 years later that I became self employed and another 2 years after that when music was indirectly earning me enough money (via videos) to live that dream. I've just had to go back through the cycle.
I truly believe this, as hard as it is to swallow some days. Today being one of those days. But on we go and the journey doesn’t end here! It merely takes a detour to a new route. The end goal will always be the same!
It's good to see you again, Boss King and congratulations on your new job. Everything will definitely work out in your favor on this new phase. Stay blessed by The Most High and of course never stop what you love doing! 🎵🎶🙌🏿🙏🏿👑
Only way I could ever stop is if I were to stop breathing, you know music is my first love and I’d never fully quit it so here’s to changes in life and making the best out of an unexpected detour! We can do it.
Respect I make music myself I just got my insurance license gonna be selling insurance while I work my job in the medical industry. I love making music but I have to look at what’s best for myself. Hobbies are nice but priorities trumps hobbies
Thing is I wouldn’t even consider this a hobby for me, it’s definitely a lot more than that but for the time being I have to make it back to my side hustle while I rely on something more stable like having a regular job so I don’t go broke lol. I could’ve easily done that tbh but then I’d be setting myself up for an even bigger failure down the line. Priorities definitely trumps all. And my priority right now above the music is getting married and building out my future for my family. Eventually my music and creativity will provide for it all once again but… I truly do believe that this is what was meant for me at this current stage of my life. Maybe it’s to teach me a lesson in discipline and work ethic or timing. Who knows. All I know is im rolling with the punches as they come and making the most of what I do have.
@@IAMLXGEND My perspective about music is living. Living life makes one's music interesting and also adventurous. I enjoy working my job and working on music. Enjoy the process of life....
Ahhh, San Diego. My old stomping ground. I was a part time music producer there for over 20 years until I realized that there were cheaper places to live so I moved abroad. Congrats on the new job!
Yea, San Diego is one of the most expensive cities to live in in the US so I don't blame you. I've even thought about it myself but just waiting on the right move at the right time.
It's so fun, I can't wait to dive even deeper and get more familiar with it / build that muscle memory up. I can sense the projects I make on there will be really interesting considering the difference in work flow and I think limiting myself to the iPad built in mic and the keyboard on the screen will bring forth some intriguing results.
I got a job also brotha. I’m not even putting my stuff out there yet but I definitely plan on it. Been producing for 16 years now. It’s teaching me a valuable lesson in time management and making me realize giving your full attention to music doesnt necessarily equal financial stability. Consistency and work ethic do. Sometimes these jobs give us the necessary drive and push to strive for better. You’re doing exactly what you need to be doing.
The time management is key and for me is one of the hardest parts to dial in. But not impossible, for sure as I used to do it 10 years ago back when I had a job before becoming self employed. I do feel my drive slowly building up the more I work, the more I miss creating. So we'll get there in the end.
"Life needs adjustment." Real talk, bro. And for me, a lot of the enthusiasm I have for music production comes from the anticipation of coming home after work to make something dope. If I did music full-time, I feel like I'd lose that excitement. Great vlog, man.
Well said. That's exactly how I felt after some time. I mean don't get me wrong. I still loved making music but there were many days it started to feel more like a chore than something to enjoy since I was hoping I would somehow make money off of what I was creating. I still have to find my balance and energy after work to go and work on some music as I often am drained after work but I believe I'll get there. I think setting up a home studio again will help with this. Even though I love the atmosphere of my actual studio.
I relate , absolutely. I made a living playing music until 40. I was in a bind I needed to make more and it was a job and not enjoyable anymore. I retired last week and now tiny steps to write and record out of a no pressure nor monetary concerns. It is a miracle I lived to this moment. Good luck
Welcome among us, Brother ! Life is full of surprises and you have to adapt at whatever comes at you 💪💪 The hardest part is realizing it and acting upon it and you did this already so congrats man !🍾🍾 Remember that whatever you did once, you can do it again ! Loved the HSM nod at the end ! Good luck !
Hahahah you know I had to get that reference in. Glad someone caught it. But you’re absolutely right. The hardest part was making the decision to go back and take that step but I’ve done it and even though I’m still adjusting, I’m just remembering how dedicated the grind was last time so this is a great chance for me to prove it’s still possible to do something you love to do even with the crazy twists and turns life throws at you.
Everything's gonna work out the way it needs to for you man. Stay consistent and keep your confidence in yourself. You're the man. You got whatevers coming your way. Just small things to a giant
I appreciate the encouraging words, it helps a lot to keep me motivated on days where it's hard to motivate myself or I get too inside of my own head. I believe everything will work out as intended as well. Just rolling with it!
Thank you for being along for the full ride! As someone who gets scared about sharing more of my journey rather than straight up music-based tutorials and such, it's nice to see people who are here for me and my every day struggles and triumphs as a human being instead of just what I can teach them.
@@IAMLXGEND I’m weird ig, I’ve been on a personal growth journey for the last 3 years. It’s always inspiring learning from others and seeing how others overcome challenges to prosper.
Mad inspirational honestly. I’m currently going through a couple of uncomfortable changes as well, but I know my future self, family and creativity will benefit greatly from it. Sending continuous blessings to you and yours on this journey my guy 🫡🫶🏾 I’ll be matching with a project of my own by the end of the year- prolly won’t put it out 😭 but it’ll be done to see if I can commit to something. Much love and stay strong 😌
Exactly. Have to think of the other aspects in life and make the necessary sacrifices at the right times for the betterment of those aspects. I appreciate the blessings and hope you'll be able to complete your album as well! Whether it's shared or not, doing it for yourself is the most important!
dude MAD respect for you posting this. I’m 19 and I’m trying to make music full time while I have the opportunity. No other job but music. This shows me that no matter what happens as long as I put my best foot forward that’s all that matters
Exactly. I was exactly where you are now many years ago and I'd say take that opportunity as long as you have it. But just know that whatever happens in the future, if things do change and you have to make adjustments to keep on going and never give it up fully. Put your best foot forward and love what you do.
Respect bro this is raw and how 95 percent of us gotta do it til we able to make it in this game. Keep up the hustle, get that money, and keep creating bro u got this
The first production I made was so dope, I love how different of an experience it is to use touch functions to make the music and mix. It's awesome. Will definitely make a video on this.
@@IAMLXGEND yeah the interface is definitely fun to work with. I recreated a section of Musiq’s “Beat of a Slow Dance” on it and it was like I did it on my Mac. I think I like it more tbh lol.
I feel optimistic for music, where artists like yourself are making things on the side of a 9-5. I think the work can be more intentional and doesn’t have to be restricted by a desire for making money. Look forward to hearing what you make, it’s inspiring and exciting!
I 100% agree with this. Rather than having the pressure of needing to earn an income from your music and videos directly, I can really start to have fun with what I'm making which is why I make music in the first place. I loved having it as my full-time but I'd be lying if I said that the added pressure to earn an income from it made it less fun a lot of the time and it started to feel like a chore than something I genuinely enjoyed to do for the love of it. I now appreciate the little time I do have when I'm able to get to the studio. So I believe this will make the creation of the music a much more valuable process.
@@IAMLXGEND love it. I make music as a hobby and I’ve recently started a new full time job. I have to plan it in every week but I look forward to it, no pressure just jamming. Everything I make is unique for me and I don’t feel any other forces dictate to me what I make, just the flow of the process. Enjoy!
It definitely is not and the way these algorithm changes have happened with all ur subscribers not really seeing your videos, it’s made creating a headache. All the work over this last decade building an audience and then feeling like it goes to waste because this bot decided who should see ur content and who shouldn’t. It sucks but nothing I can do about it except make the necessary adjustments in the parts of my life that I CAN control. This season won’t last forever, I truly believe that. But I’m here now so I gotta do what I gotta do.
love your passion! sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do anyway i will surely be copping that album when you release it continued blessings my brother.
I've missed being around! But be ready to see more of me. I'm gonna get back to at least 2 uploads a month but the goal is once a week. Thank you for sticking around.
So goood to see you again!!! We really missed you! But hey, you gotta do what you gotta do to make things work for you! You made some smart strategic and reasonable decisions, taking some pressure off the youtube thing. And maybe that can spark new creativity and motivation! Happy to follow you on your album making journey!
As much as I hate the change I honestly do think it’s going to be better for my sustained creativity and just feeling a lot less of that pressure to “perform”. Going back to the love of it and paying less attention to the analytics or metrics behind everything, because that has honestly tainted my art. So it has some benefits for sure. I’ve missed you all too! Thanks for this comment
I admit it is a surprise to see that you play live as well 👍🏾 Most modern producers don't play live much if at all. Congrats on your job! A stable income helps alot so hold on to it for as long as you can 👍🏾
I learned a lot from you and I cannot help wondering why you are not signed to a major label. Maybe you understand what a grind that life is on the road for years while creating and producing Best Wishes!
Oh trust me, I definitely have a great understanding of the grind that life is and this is showing me even moreso. Why I'm not signed, who knows. But with the way these labels treat artists now days, I'm not sure I want to be.
Great vid. You made me think of these two quotes: 1: "Life begins at the end of your comfort zone." 2: "You can always measure what you're letting go of, but you can never measure what you're gonna get." All the best to you. 👊🏻😎
I can tell you took a lot of pride in being your own boss--rightfully so! You got to see the other side, where The Algo was your boss. That's not all milk and honey either, as you mentioned. Now that you've seen it from both sides you can recalibrate. This is not a setback, it's the first step of a transformation! All the best to you, bro!
I appreciate this right here and it definitely gives me a better perspective to see things from. Having experienced both sides of the grass, I can appreciate both for what they each offer, respectively. Recalibration is necessary. I really did take a lot of pride in being self employed and for so long. So having to swallow that hasn't been easy but also necessary.
YT recommended this to me, relate so well with working 9-5 and having "that dream", hopefully for you it will happen! I do love your bag, what is it and where did you get it?
It happened before, it can happen again. I believe this. I got my bag from amazon. It's called the PGYTECH OneMo backpack. I think I have the 25L version but they also make a bigger 35L one.
Yessir it has been! Good to hear from you man. If anything it’ll teach me how to grind again. Not that I wasn’t before but it was definitely a different kind of grind before I was self employed
@@IAMLXGEND oh 100%. In the past year I’ve had to learn to code in order to make income while I make music. So I’ve been on a similar path as you. Been away from music since June last year up until January of this year. Trying to balance everything nowadays is tough for sure. But all roads lead to music
@iamlexgend I salute you bro for your transparency and honesty. Unfortunately social media has made us believe that a huge following equals the big money bag. May the Lord Jesus strengthen and continue to bless you monetarily, mentally and physically.
Is thumbtack some sort of website for that? And I've thought about it / been asked to teach but it's a bit strange for me because I learned everything I know just from playing by ear. That's something I'm not really sure how to teach or train. Not yet anyway.
@@IAMLXGEND Thumbtack is an ISO website. You can specify that you just want to teach ear training or theory. But yea I get it.. I’m the same way, but I learned how to read music and theory from playing trumpet in band.
I did the same with the iPad.. no limits to the work load! Logic Pro is heavy 💯 keep up the great work man prioritizing is a virtue. Not everyone has it 😅 we’re all rooting for you!
@@IAMLXGEND you, John Mike, henny and gospel musicians have been my tutors for years.. thank you bro. Been providing for my family of your production tips and advice on sound plugins
Hey LXGEND, life takes sudden turns at times, and the only thing that you need to do is just hang on! Ok Lorenzo, or is it Larry! Its not Lawrence, cause that is your bro... Hang in there, Peace!!!!
Larry was my grandpa haha but many people have the same confusion. And yea life is weird like that but we have to learn to just adjust and make the best of what we are given at each turn.
@@IAMLXGEND LOL.... I remember you mentioned that your mom said that Larry was the translation of your name to Spanish, when I spotted you in, "Grocery Outlet". Never the less, hang in there and stay in touch!!!
I never left. As I said in the video I'm still going to upload and make music, and am planning to release an album before the year is over. But working the 9-5 takes up the most of my day now because I need money. Music wasn't paying me enough to get by.
@IAMLXGEND I understand that completely I drive trucks for Amazon and I just wanna be a content creator but imma share something with you on Twitter hope it will help you understand how important you are to people out here
9:07 Ayo, Prince vibe! So good it pushed over the camera🤣 Good to see ya again, man! Hope life's been treating you better ^-^ It's hard to get your life in-check, and you're right, it is usually uncomfortable Right now, I'm tryna get things in control: Getting therapy, dealing with bad habits, making a schedule (which is hard for me LOL), saving money, etc... It's tough, but I believe it'll be worth it Thanks for the vibe check, as always Looking forward to the album, man Take care, God bless, love yourself (not too much, hehe) Stay Lxgendary💙
Yea the rumble on that bass is thick lol. And it can be hard for sure especially when you’re doing things that are uncomfortable to do or that are new to you, but the important thing is as long as you take your time to do them. Don’t overload yourself but don’t give yourself a cakewalk either. Life is full of challenges and that’s the only way we progress as human beings. Much luck and fortune to your journey as I can relate heavily to it and here’s to taking care of ourselves!
Dat sounded like some modern day Prince shyt when you sung in dat falsetto gang. Dat wuz fiyah. Foe how you be coming up wit ideas instantly like dat? I so wish I could just come up wit those quality ideas and being able to put them 2getha so quickly jus blow my got dang mind everytime. Pause!
I was gonna say sorry to hear that you had to get a "normal" job, as it's objectively a bad thing. Like, I don't think I've come across anyone who's thankful they got a regular day job. It's always like a curse that everyone should escape from, that's why everyone is so desperate to become content creators and influencers, because anything is better than a regular job lol. But I'm not gonna let my negativity ruin the vibes. Guess I was just afraid the "9-5" reality is gonna change you, but I hope not. Ever since I got my full-time job, my life has never been good and it's just nonstop pain for the past 5 years now. But I believe you can push through and maintain your good vibes despite the hardships and eventually go back to being self-employed. You're one of the most positive person I've found on this site.
I'll take the "sorry" because I'm not happy I got a normal job. I'm happy that I have a steady income because the past 6 months of being self-employed has been a rollercoaster in terms of what I earn. Some months I would profit, other months I'd literally be in the negative. Which has not happened to me since like...2015. It's not going to change me, I'm still going to be me, I'm just going to have more money lol. The only thing it's changed is how much time I get to create but I will never become a robot in the machine or a soulless human. I love creating too much to give it up, ever.
@@IAMLXGENDyeah I guess we just disillusioned that we can't seem to see any good in having a normal job anymore. You called yourself a normie but I don't think you are though. A normie would be someone who's content with their regular job as if there's nothing wrong with it. I guess there's a silver lining to hating our jobs, it's a sign that we're still a human lol
It just sucks that not everyone is gonna make it as a full-time self-employed artist/creator, which basically means that not everyone will be able to achieve true happiness and freedom. But that's life
I mean yea, but it's not my main source of income anymore unfortunately so it quite literally has to be a side hustle. It's not to say I love it any less. I just have to work it less with the time I have left.
Wassup Bro! I been in the industry for years as a producer and man.... And a lot of times you'll make more money with an average 9-5. Spotify is paying people less than a penny per stream.. That's Fuckin disrespectful. The game aint what it used to be. VERY SMART MOVE BY YOU!
hey bro, I'm currently applying for some work from home positions after leaving my job for entrepreneurship. The entrepreneurship hasnt died, just the funding might dry up soon and need some income to keep the lights up! We will make it bro! we really need to link up!
Exactly. That's precisely the wall I ran into. Things haven't completely died but have dried up enough for me to need to consider a more steady source of income because...I gotta live and I have bills to pay. Totally understand, and yes we do!
Yo, I didn't know of another creative in San Diego. I sort of quit music too to work on games full time. I am from San Diego also. I make music now to score my games and also sound design. I use MPC/Maschine/FL/Ableton as my products of choice. Good to know of another channel. I subbed by the way. I deleted all my content from my channel after being copyright striked by Kendrick Lamar and his team UMG/RIAA just today.
Yea man we out here! We even use some of the same tools as I produce primarily in Maschine myself but I record in Logic. Nice to see another one of us. I don’t blame you for deleting your vids although I could’ve swore he wasn’t copyright striking channels for using his stuff (depends what you’re doing with it though tbh). Reaction channels have gotten theirs all removed from what I saw. But yea, definitely keep at it. And keep grinding on those games, that’s dope!
Good to hear from you Brotha! I got a service order pending with you and projects waiting. Hit me up ASAP. I pray for success for you and yours on this journey. Keep grinding!!!
Did I miss an order you placed? Or one you want to place? And thank you 👏🏾 the grind will continue! You know how it’s been from the last few meetings we’ve had
It is. Things won’t always go the way you envisioned or plan, that’s natural in life and for so long I got comfortable with what I expected. I believe this was a time needed to teach me that I can’t always have everything the way I want it. And to be mature enough to adjust when it does happen.
And that's perfectly fine, you will love it and appreciate it more than if it were to turn into something where you're trying to earn from it. Not that that's bad but...for me sometimes it would taint the art. And I hated that.
1st, you have to stop thinking like that. Because you never will if you're always thinking "how will I ever make it" or "I'll never get this far". Believe in yourself. Everyone's situation is different. The reason I went back is because most of my income was earned through youtube videos ABOUT my music. Not my music directly. And when the youtube views and sponsorships went down, so did my income. So I could've stuck it out and did my Uber side hustle but because I have a family to save for, the smartest thing for me to do was to get a stable job where I have predictable and steady income and work music on the side. Everyone's journey is different. Just because I had to do this doesn't mean you will have to. But it also doesn't mean you won't face any challenges, because trust me...you will. But if you're single and have no bills or responsibilities then you have more freedom than I do to go out there and pursue the music. Stop comparing yourself to other people and look at your own life and decisions to make. You will not have the same experiences as me. Your journey is yours.
Yea… I’ve been hard at work basically and too tired adjusting to this new change. But I’m going to start uploading again so I hope to see you around on newer videos. I appreciate you sticking around to even be able to see this one.
Also is it really dat serious dat youtube and other social media is hardly paying our great content creators like dat no more? Why are some of these talented ppl suddenly have to get a 9 to 5? or jus lacking on funds period?
They’re definitely not lacking on funds. They just broke the platform with these stupid algorithms instead of showing our videos to our audiences that we’ve spent years growing.
@@IAMLXGEND Dat explains why I don’t see your videos n certain otha creators dat I’m subscribed to in the time line any more like dat. Before I used to see your videos in the time line all the time. Then as I kept scrolling this video popped up. I wuz tryna find anotha creator too. But inly can remember a portion of her name. It won’t come up. Plus I kno for a fact I subscribed to her. But not seein her on my sub list. This is krayzie how they are doin ppl like this. But you’re a talented dude bro. So I’m sure you’re gonna find ur way. B.Slade lol not Blaze but yea absolutely gonna work on finishing that song. Maybe not this week but looking for it to be on the new project. Keep going, man.
Having a studio doesn’t automatically mean you’ll have tons of money to afford it or pay your bills. It’s a responsibility that I have to pay for. And I can’t pay for it if I don’t have money coming in, let alone pay my bills every month. I once told myself I’d never work for anyone ever again but look where life took me. You can’t always predict the future. Sometimes you have to make some hard decisions. Ones you don’t want to make. But it can be necessary for your next step up. As for my studio, this is like $15,000-20,000 worth of equipment, I can’t just send it away for free lol. That would be a really bad decision where I would lose even more money so if I were to ever give it up, I’d 100% sell it so I could make my money back. But I’m not giving it up so it’s not for sale 😜 I may have an iMac you can buy though if you would like.
A gamble worth taking if you're truly passionate and serious about it. Not to say that gamble will always pay off, but those who risk, win. And if not... at least you can say you tried.
Yo bro, if you don't mind sharing. How many hours are you putting in at the new job? When I see "I quit full-time music for a 'boring' 9-5 job" I assume its a full-time job 40+ hours a week. Do you have to put in anywhere near that amount of time in it? If its for a Sunday and/or Saturday, thats a part-time job or a gig a couple times a week. Some of us really gotta work 40, 50, or 60 hours a week and still pursue music. You also put boring. Its perceived that you took up being a musician at a church. That's boring!? You're getting paid to play music, bud. Please let me know if I'm totally off over how much time this new job is "taking" from you.
Firstly, the thumbnail is me in an office. So yes. It is boring work. I would not have put that in the title if it were not true. I've been playing the organ on Sundays for the last 28 years. This is not new to me nor do I get full time work from doing that. Not even close. If I did, I would not be working in an office and the title would not have said "quitting full time music" because that would still be considered... full time music. Right? Secondly, it is a full time job. Which you can surmise from the title: quitting music "full time" and the hours included in the title: "9-5". If I have to quit music full time to work 9-5 every day of the week, this means the job I got is replacing full time creative work. Hence why I mention in the video that I'm still trying to find the time to be able to create and produce...because I work 45 hours a week. So that "Some of us" you're speaking about includes me. I work a full-time 9-5 boring office job, just as the title and thumbnail indicates. I am well aware that there are people who work longer than this, and still pursue music. But I do not dictate the amount of hours I work. Even so, it is still full-time work. You also have to take into consideration I have an unpredictable, clinically diagnosed, chronic illness which effects my energy levels and mood and does not always allow me to have the physical or mental capacity to pursue music everyday after I've already had a full tiring day at work. So regardless of how other people still make time to pursue music while working 60 hours a week, those people are those people. My body and my brain chemistry are not built like them. I have to make do with what I have, WHEN I have the energy to do so. So yes. You're totally off over how much time this new job is "taking" from me and you're also off with what I now do for work. I am not getting paid to play music full time. I would greatly appreciate it if you didn't make these assumptions and just take what I say for what I say. It's not clickbait or hyperbole. When I say I quit music full time for a boring 9-5, it means I quit music full time for a boring 9-5 job. Technically 8-5 actually. Which is full-time hours.
I respect the video and you made some good points, but you never told us what you actually do? Or where you work .. not directly… also what was the reason you decided to work a 9-5? The two main points…
I mentioned multiple times in the video why I decided to work a 9-5: Steady Income. I said it at least 3 times lol. Not sure if you watched the full video but yea, I stated because I don’t have to worry anymore about views being low or sponsors not reaching out blah blah. Regarding where I work, I have no desire to tell people where I work for obvious privacy reasons lol. It’s bad enough I get scam calls and mail all day every day because my data has been leaked. I’d rather not make it worse by letting people know my employer. What I will say is that I work with preparing court documents.
I watched the video a couple times to make sure , it comes off vague as for the reasons you gave where any musician would want to get a 9-5, more like you were giving reasons why anyone would, which is fine, I just didn’t catch where you said “ the main reason I’m doing this is because this happened or something changed.. I guess I’m more blunt so I always adapt to direct individuals, As for the job I agree to keep that confidential, that’s why said “directly” We as viewers always are interested in watch your doing
I didn’t get a job in a church. I got a job in an office. I’ve been playing the organ at my church for 28 years. This is nothing new. Lol If I did, I wouldn’t have said that I quit music full time because that would still be music full time.
Lol, no. That's what I'm saying in the video. It used to bring me enough money. But this year it has been so low that I had to drive for Uber and even that wasn't enough. So that's why I got a normal job. If youtube was still paying me well or showing my videos to the 179,000 subscribers I have earned over the last 10 years then I definitely wouldn't have gotten a job.
There’s nothing wrong with a men doing what he has to do to eat! RESPECT!

@@IAMLXGENDyeah music is my life
@@IAMLXGEND My perspective about music is living.
I have been making albums off my iPad and it’s been a blessing now that Logic Pro 2 is out I been taking my music to a whole new level
@@IAMLXGEND The balance is definitely hard to find sometimes, but it'll come in time. You got this, man.
I relate , absolutely.
I made a living playing music until 40. I was in a bind I needed to make more and it was a job and not enjoyable anymore. I retired last week and now tiny steps to write and record out of a no pressure nor monetary concerns. It is a miracle I lived to this moment. Good luck
congrats on that and I truly hope you're enjoying the process of it again.
You've helped me more than you can imagine over the years. I appreciate everything you've done and respect your decisions. I'm here for the journey!
Blessings on the new journey!! You just keep on creating bro!!
Getting back to it, just had to find my balance! It’s so necessary but I’m ready to get going again. I miss creating and going live!
It’s all good bro we understand. Still patiently waiting on the iPhone album. Wishing you the best from one Gemini music maker to another
It's a goal of mine to finish that next year. I've been blue balling people on that project for 4 years.
@ lmfao man trust when I say I understand. I been working on the same album for like 6-7 years. 🤷🏾♂️
Respect bro this is raw and how 95 percent of us gotta do it til we able to make it in this game. Keep up the hustle, get that money, and keep creating bro u got this
You know I will. Have to stick to the path and the end goal. We'll make it there one way or another
Good to see you again friend and congrats on the new job. I have Logic Pro on my iPad and love it…super easy to navigate.
Glad to see you in a good space King. Blessings...
We're getting there, thank you
I feel optimistic for music, where artists like yourself are making things on the side of a 9-5.
Enjoy!
Good to see you again Bro. Sometimes we gotta do what we gotta do just keep grinding
This is where it is. Continuing the work and going back to that nitty gritty grind I was on before I was creating full time. It’s definitely possible
excited for what comes next including the iPad exploration. YT isn’t paying what it should so totally understand the need for a 9-5.
But I’m here now so I gotta do what I gotta do.
much respect bro, its always great seeing you. may God bless you

Appreciate that and always great to be around and have good support from people like yourself.
will hold you to it bro. Waiting for that album. Make sure it happenes meiiinnn
I look forward to putting it out! I got about 5 months, so the work begins now

You too, thank you
I was so excited when I saw that you had uploaded a video. I have missed your content and your music!
I admit it is a surprise to see that you play live as well 👍🏾
Most modern producers don't play live much if at all. Congrats on your job! A stable income helps alot so hold on to it for as long as you can 👍🏾
Oh yea. I’ve been playing live at my church for 28 years. It’s the foundation of where my production knowledge comes from as far as instrumentation.
@@IAMLXGEND awesome!
Congrats on the new job! And especially the New Car!!! It fits you perfectly.
I honestly thought about doing a little car tour because I was proud of the purchase (my first NEW-ish car). Might include it in a video one day.
I'm glad to see you don't lose the fire keep up the good work
Never have, never can, never will. It burns deep.
And... that beat and your melody ideas SLAAAAAP!!! 🔊🔊🔊🔊🔊 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Yehhhh!! Gotta work on that song ASAP.
Congrats bro! Baby steps. I had to learn the hard way. It will come either locally or internationally
I believe this and I've seen it work for others for sure. The thing is to keep at it.
Great vid. You made me think of these two quotes: 1: "Life begins at the end of your comfort zone." 2: "You can always measure what you're letting go of, but you can never measure what you're gonna get." All the best to you. 👊🏻😎
The "life begins at the end of your comfort zone" is one I always think about. One of the favs. Love the second one, first time hearing that.
Thanks for the heads-up on the Aziona Iced Tea! 7:04
Yea if you can find them, those things are good!
You need to drop that song bro that might be your mega hit!
We’ll see!
As a creator starting out, thank you for posting this.
you're welcome, I try to be as real and honest as possible on here.
This video really came up On Time for me. I needed to see this. Thanks a lot .
Absolutely, you're welcome and I hope it helped and to see you around later.
I need you to finish writing that song maan! it sounds too good!
Definitely going to!
Been a while Lxgend! Gotta do what you gotta do!
Good luck with it all Bro.
Thanks man, the journey doesn't stop. It just takes a detour down another road. But the end goal will always remain the same.
@iamlexgend I salute you bro for your transparency and honesty. Unfortunately social media has made us believe that a huge following equals the big money bag. May the Lord Jesus strengthen and continue to bless you monetarily, mentally and physically.
Brother, you should teach piano/organ. That’s what’s I do. Look into thumbtack and similar things. You could totally do it
Is thumbtack some sort of website for that?

That song is going be a bangerrrr
Really love the response it's getting so far and I haven't even started recording it yet! Can't wait to actually get something recorded.
But that's life
Going thru the same
It's tough but sometimes it's necessary

Wassup Bro! I been in the industry for years as a producer and man.... And a lot of times you'll make more money with an average 9-5. Spotify is paying people less than a penny per stream.. That's Fuckin disrespectful. The game aint what it used to be. VERY SMART MOVE BY YOU!

This is part of your life journey
It is. Things won’t always go the way you envisioned or plan, that’s natural in life and for so long I got comfortable with what I expected. I believe this was a time needed to teach me that I can’t always have everything the way I want it. And to be mature enough to adjust when it does happen.
I'm good with just doing music as a hobby
And that's perfectly fine, you will love it and appreciate it more than if it were to turn into something where you're trying to earn from it. Not that that's bad but...for me sometimes it would taint the art. And I hated that.
So if you just went back to having a job after all this experience. How am I supposed to make it
1st, you have to stop thinking like that.

I know, it’s just been a loooooong time for me.
I wish I could get ur studio in Nigeria. I will never work for nobody. If you consider giving up pls send it to me. Thank you in advance. 😅
But I’m not giving it up so it’s not for sale 😜

@@IAMLXGEND Gotcha. Include that info in your video bud
I guess I’m more blunt so I always adapt to direct individuals,
As for the job I agree to keep that confidential, that’s why said “directly”
We as viewers always are interested in watch your doing
Welcome back to the matrix
😅😅 UNPLUG ME! I hate it here lmao
I think there's a reason you got a job in a church: you could be a pretty good music padre. And even establish your own parish.))
I didn’t get a job in a church. I got a job in an office. I’ve been playing the organ at my church for 28 years.
This is nothing new. Lol
If I did, I wouldn’t have said that I quit music full time because that would still be music full time.
Dude, doesnt youtube brings you enough money?
Ain’t no mystery about it
None indeed.
