  • It’s 4:15 am and its time to rise and shine! This is not my usual waking hour.. but today is not my typical Wednesday.. Well its the same but not same at the same time and I am counting on my habitual patterns to navigate through this untypical Wednesday and make it as productive as possible
Hello, this is Dipty and welcome to LifeAdmin365 and untypical day in my life video. Several reasons for it to be untypical..
Stick around till the end to see how i navigate through the day, not only being productive, but having a good time along the way.
Thank you so much for watching.
    Sending much love your way!
    XOXO

Thanks a lot♥️ yes it was very hectic day.. when it’s half day at work, try to do as much as I can. Kids will definitely help if we let them help us.. in my case, many times, I would just do things because i thought that being a good mom means doing everything for kids and at tot her times, I just wanted to get things done quickly.. so didn’t get them involved or didn’t let them do their own cleaning.. but after watching friends with their kids, I learnt that it was ok to get them, (as well as hubby 😜) involved as well😊

Honestly speaking this is one area that I don’t really have a detailed routine.. however, the one thing that is certain that on Wednesday’s, I sweep and mop entire main level, including bathroom… upstairs is go with the flow, maybe every 2-4 days ex: just 2-3 minutes before shower (wipe vanity & clean toilet or inside shower clean tub & tiles).. boys clean up their rooms (one will wipe tables chair etc, the other will vacuum the floors) though I have to remind them frequently to do it 🙄 I do have a cleaning lady come in once a month for deep cleaning, so I don’t put in as much effort as used to when there was no help

      the batter:
1 cup Besan (chickpea flour or bengal gram flour)
11/2 - 2 tbsp rawa (Semolina or sooji)-More rawa can be added if you like crumbly texture of Khaman.)
½ tsp Citric Acid (Nimbu ke Phool)
      3 tbsp oil
3 teaspoons sugar - can be reduced as per your taste
      1 teaspoon green chilli-ginger paste
      1 ½ teaspoons Eno’s fruit salt
      Salt to taste
      A pinch of turmeric powder
About 1 to 11/4 cup water or as needed. Make cake consistancy batter
      For the tempering:
      1 tablespoon oil
      ½ teaspoon mustard seeds
      ½ teaspoon sesame seeds (til)
      2 green chillies , chopped
      a pinch asafoetida (hing)
      For the garnish
1 tablespoon chopped cilantro or coriander leaves (Dhaniya)
      Shredded coconut (Optional)
      Instructions
Mix together all the ingredients for the batter except the fruit salt using enough water to make a easy pour consistancy(Not too thick or thin) batter.
Add in the fruit salt, sprinkle a little water over the fruit salt and mix well.
When the mixture rises, pour it into a greased thali and steam for about 15 minutes.
For the tempering, heat the oil in a small katori and add the mustard seeds, sesame seeeds, green chillies and asafoetida. When the mustard seeds crackle, and pour this over the steamed dhoklas.
Garnish with coconut and finely choped cilantro.
Cut into pieces and serve with green chutney.
      Notes
!Tips: You can use 1 teaspoon of lemon juice or 2-3 tbsp dahi(yogurt) instead of the citric acid crystals.
Keep the steamer hot and add the fruit salt into the batter.

Hi Nith👋🏼they are from Masterclass brand. If you are from US, you can get them from Homegoods/Marshall’s/TJMaxx/HomeSense stores..I got all the prices separately from one of these stores.. they are sister stores and you may find in one these stores. Unfortunately their inventory keeps on changing so I don’t have a link to share.. just got the stores and I’m sure you’ll find them there.. You can get these from Amazon but they are much more expensive there.
