  • Today, we are going to check and review the Zosi 4K PoE NVR system. Specifically, their 4 turret security camera kit bundled with their 8 channel NVR. This system records in 4K resolution and has starlight sensors for color night vision, spotlights, AI human detection, 2 way talk and siren. We will do a quick unboxing, set it up, install and check out its video and audio quality and run our usual tests and see if this 4K NVR PoE system for Zosi can be a good option for your home security needs.
Update: Here are the specs of this camera system and the NVR.

There is a new lowest price NVR setup that would be nice to review.
This set is currently 439 and the VEEZOOM 4pcs is 399 and seems to feature all these features.
I'm going to be buying a set in a few months so I'd appreciate a review to look at when I'm ready to make a buying decision.
There doesn't seem to be a good review out for these.

The picture quality is good on this one! Good night picture as well. And a good price. All in all, it looks like a decent system for someone on a budget and not needing the best of the best. I think I'd rather go with a Reolink 810/811, personally. I like those cameras a bit better and they seem to have a good app.

You can't really do license plates at night because the light from the IR cameras washes them out. Those plates are made to be very reflective at night so doing a nightie test will just give you a bright, glowing rectangle. Can't see a thing.

Seems like a great budget 4k nvr to me.
Can you set it to only record on motion detection or is it locked to 24/7 recording.
I got a smokin deal on the Reolink 4k nvr setup on a black Friday deal and at first it was set to continues record out of the box. Took me a bit to find the motion activated record setting but I did so I have a lot of headroom before the drive fills up and overwrites stuff.
This thing should be really cheap once they get out there and decent sales happen and the video quality is great for what you need.

These cameras are great however if you are planning to customise them and use them with platforms such as Scrypted I wouldnt bother as you have no control over the settings, they are stuck at 4k 20FPS with H265+ for example and the Zosi APP / NVR is required to customise them. ONVIF does work but it can be a faff. Only use this if you plan on using the ZOSI app only.

This will minimize the false alerts and then with settings on phone, can disable the sound in notifications. Depends what your needs are. I found out that my NVR model does NOT follow a person that comes in view, and I need to download an additional file from them to do so. Remember, it may be compatible with other cams if need to update one to do a better job in regards to your needs in a particular area.
