Thank you for the introduction to the Arisotcrats, I have a 7.2 setup with B&W CM8 S2 fronts, CM5 S2 sides, CM1 S2 rears, 2 x 610XP Subs and a CM2 Centre, from my Yahama RX-A 3080 played on 7 channel out) through my Topping D50s from my Apple Mac Mini, the band sound completely awesome, the music suits my system so well and the depth and soundstage are truly something to behold, thanks :-)

I got an denon avr3500x receiver, i want to buy a pair of b&w 603. Problem is i dont know if the receiver can handle those speakers.

Come on them Kef are junk. The only reason saying is 2 weeks ago a large stereo outlet had them 50% off the list price and they didn't sell out. These S2 anniversary edition are on sale at best buy $150. Off each speaker they are gone! Going get these babies, sound great with hard rock.

Hey terry have you listened to the KEF Q750? and if so could you compare these to the 603? I can get a good deal on the 750s but 603 only 300au more for the 603s..
Hi Benjamin, sorry I haven't listened properly to any Q series speakers, only out at shows in a multi channel setup - like that they sounded excellent I will say.

amazing, what would you recommend for amplification to somebody starting under 700 usd to use with the bowers wilkins 706?
I am sorry I am not that experienced at that end of the amplifier market to be able to make many suggestions - I would say choose an amplifier with good control and one that is nice and fast.

@@juandv930722 Im using a NAD c368 with my 707 s2. Sounds amazing! Really love the NAD sound on B&W's.
Perhaps a little above your pricepoint, however you should be able to find a second hand from a former generations for way less. might be worth looking into.

@@freekderks1983 can't believe it was 1 year ago already, I went all over and got the simaudio moon neo ace, which I love inspite of its incredibly annoying app.
ive been using my dads old polk monitor 10As for my front left and right in a 5.1 channel set up, they really sound pretty amazing, especially for music, but the left one unfortunately has been having issues with the tweeter and im looking to replace both speakers and ive been looking at these as well as polk lsim 705s because i have the lsim 704 center speaker and i know it'd create a very level front sound stage, especially for movies, but polk have unfortunately discontinued the lsim line, idk why because they seem really impressive, but in your opinion would you think it would better suit my set up to try and find a pair of lsim 705 or would these 603s be a good pair with my current center channel if i cant find any 705s?
These speakers sound good through my Dali Lektor 8 speakers.

Hi Terry thanks for the demo!!I read in a review (for the anniversary edition) that they have excessive high treble and hardness of vocal tone.Is this true?
Sorry I dont know, the treble lift is a bowers thing that is the same for these and all of the 600 and 700 speakers from what I have seen. I would be surprised if the mids sounded hard - maybe there was another cause

Word to the wise: try before you buy. I have to confess that these speakers sound great in this video. But I tried a demo of these speakers at a high-end audio store and they sounded terribly weak. Virtually no bass response considering their size. Good video, but don't base your decision solely off of what you hear here.
setup setup setup - if the bass is weak the speakers are setup badly, these are not massively bassy speakers but they can be if you know what you are doing
@@PursuitPerfectSystem Difficult for me to believe setup could make that kind of difference, but then I suppose you are the expert. Assuming the units were wired correctly, what other setup details could make such a profound change?

now that would be awesome and I would love to. I can get a demo of them anytime but in my room is logistically more difficult. Hopefully Bowers will add me to their reviewer list and ship me some one day. I can only hope ;)

I was considering one of the 600 series b/c Best Buy had them on sale but when I asked to listen to the 606's the sales rep said they didn't have a sound room. So the next day I went to my local Audio shop and purchase the 707 sr2 after listening to them in their sound room. I was glad to support small business and have the reassurance I bought a pair of speakers that were suitable to my ear and bonus plus he gave me a $200 off the price ... better speakers and better discount then BB- lol.

Hi Juan, I don't have the right size ones for these speakers - however I predict more clarity and focus to the sound with some GAIA 1's. I would guess a lot of people buying speakers at this price would think a few hundred pounds on some GAIA excessive but I think they would bring a nice improvement as they do

No never use the subwoofers in speaker demos
Had a pair, briefly.
Need to drive them hard and requires a sub. Very inefficient speaker.
Position of the speaker size of acoustic room is key. Speaker produce amazing clarity artist like mark Klopfler come to mind. Can be a bit too bright at times.

B&W 803 D3. Is the way forward. Drive them clean and they are like live music in your head. Tracks from daft punk jazz and a good piano concerto is very trippy.

just got a pair of 606 bookshelf speakers, planning on adding the HTM6 and 603s pretty soon, just love the B&W sound. i actually listened to the 603s at a best buy magnolia and loved them so much i figured i'd buy the bookshelf speakers based on them to keep them all in the same manuf./series. the depth, clarity, and range seems really really nice even compared to some more expensive speakers (martin logan). can't wait to get 'em.

At first i dont wanna give a reaction but i must,so dont blame me,but dude this sounds terrible,the bass is all over the place exept where its needs to be,the more expensive B&W types sounds OK but this is no good,and i dont trust that amp,it has no control over the speakers,sorry but i have to say this...
the bass cant be all over the place - dirac live gives an exact freq response to the bass. I dont think the bass is the strongest part of the speakers presentation - but its tight and controlled as you will see in the fourth demo video. There is not excess or fat on the bass from these speakers though either. Its far from terrible - its actually conveying the energy and drive of this track really well when the band step it up from about 1/3 in. Watch all 4 videos you will see

@@bc527c I think you tube compresses a bit at the top and bottom extremes and softens things a bit so you lose a bit of leading edge but for the most part it's not too bad really

Factor in there will be a big volume difference so volume match then compare
Like you mentioned if you start looking for that extra definition in bass then it's a more expensive version......
