Great hack about using Flight Radar to find which gate you should be at - definitely one to use in the future. easyJet also have a branded lounge at the South terminal and it's surprisingly good value - prices start at £19 and although that's just for an hour, I didn't see them going around throwing people out once their time was up. The food options aren't as plentiful as the other lounges, but you can pour your own drinks (including draught beer), and it didn't feel too crowded, despite not being the largest space. No apron view though, alas.
My mind was in southesast Asia price mode as I read that and thought it sounded exorbitant... reread it in Western world mode and yeah, it would be a good deal for a few drinks lol
Nice video once again. Considering that was likely the first trip of the day I am surprised the tray table was dirty. For the cost a pretty good service but the one downside being legroom for a standard seat so I would definitely recommend the extra and paying more. If you want an interesting visit they fly to Gibraltar and that is an interesting stay with the monkeys and history, also the chance to walk across the active runway ... good views of the planes. The Holiday Inn Express is modern and good value for what you get.
Much better than my one and only time on Sleazy Jet (we refer to it as that sometimes in the UK as it can be associated with lads holidays to Ibiza or Magaluf)
3:33 I do this all the time, especially since EasyJet flights on FR24 show the registration a fair few hours beforehand now, so for the early morning trips you can get to the gate way before everyone else and be first on. As with the cabin, the A320’s have all been fitted with a newer seat cabin, the A319’s won’t be getting them :)
The best thing about your Flight on Easyjet was the lounge access you got through your card!!! This Airline along with Ryan Air are a huge pass for me. They make all that bundle stuff so complicated so you buy stuff you don't need, Jet Star do that in Australia after all the "add ons" you may as well fly Virgin or Qantas at least you know what you are getting. Sounds like you had a cold in London. Thanks for the review👍
Thanks, we are wanting to go to Barcelona and if the airfare is cheaper going into London I would spend a few days there before taking an EasyJet to Barcelona.
If you can pull off a few nights in London for less than the difference in flight costs then my hats off to you 😂. Via Lisbon on TAP or Madrid on Iberia or Air Europa are normally cheapest to BCN. But if you’re willing to book separate tickets then Norse, FrenchBee, Play, Level, etc are all options as well (assuming you’re departing from Brooklyn 😊). Thanks for watching 🙏🏻
@@tfft originally from there, now I fly out of PHX. I go where the flight deals are. I travel from September until the Super Bowl for football games, college and pro.
Might I alert you to the Clubroom lounges at Gatwick? They have yet to re-open, post-pandemic but probably will at some point. They're my bit of luxury before a low-cost flight. And I can't recall anyone having yet done a video review of them. BTW, I did two EasyJet flights from Gatwick in May and had a similar, trouble-free experience. But if I wanted to risk-manage a European holiday booking right now I'd be booking with Jet2 - not Ryanair - out of Stansted.
Will check it out next time I’m there. Was actually supposed to fly into Gatwick in September but Scoot just canceled my flight an hour ago so might need to wait a while 😂 Am going through MXP, BCN, AMS, HEL and more next month so I’m excited to see what happens haha. I’m thinking carry on, only.
There are two train routes, Thameslink and Gatwick express that will take you from London right into the terminal, and which run 24 hours a day. As well as being a lot cheaper than Uber, they will be much faster for most of the day at 35 minutes.
It certainly could have been wrong but when I checked google maps the night before it was quoting me a 1hr 40m ride time (leaving at 4:45a) from where I was in South Kensington. I just assumed that the faster links didn’t run that early. Now I know! Thanks for watching 🙏🏻
I'm more likely to try easyjet over Ryanair but only if I can't find anything better. I prefer lgw over lhr. Honestly I haven't been to the UK since 2009.
I’d generally prefer Heathrow as it’s easier to access from the areas I stay in, but BA was the only other realistic option on the route and their fare was more than double and for a standard legroom seat. EasyJet it is! :) Thanks for watching.
Much much better than I was expecting tbh. When I first started using it while in Brazil I kept having connectivity issues regardless of using a VPN or not… but once in the UK it was more functional than most airline apps and certainly better than any other budget carrier app I’ve used.

I’ll be honest, I was borderline impressed just because my expectations were so incredibly low haha.
I cant fly easyJet since i live in Lithuania cause easyJet doesnt fly here but im planning to fly to Spain to live there
It's surprising how little Easyjet flies to eastern and northeastern Europe. Thanks for watching 🩴

@@tfft also, I have never been to London or England, so I would incorporate that into my trip and spend multiple days there!

You forgot Southern Rail as well
did you reservated the seats before flight or not?
I won’t ever book a flight if I’m not able to select my seat at the time of booking. Thanks for watching 🙏🏻

Hi what seat was this?
No idea off the top of my head but I know it’s in the video…

What did you think of the Easyjet app? Up to scratch?
