Quite possibly Hank Azaria's finest hour. This guy should be given more of a shot. I usually am not the "cry at the movies" type - but I was surprised to find myself doing just that. The next morning, actually found myself thinking about those life lessons of Morrie and Mitch...I think both of them would be very proud that the words they spoke from each other's heart have had an effect on so many people to this day. Just an incredible movie.
this is by far the one & only book that i've ever enjoyed reading so much & can really relate to it, the life lessons are so meaningful and Mitch Albom is truly incredible. when we saw the movie our whole class was crying.. yess, even the guys.. it really moves ur heart. recommend for sure.. truly amazing! i really wish i was one of "Morrie's" student...
A great book. One of my better reads. I think everyone should read this book and realize that a day we think is horrible might actually be not so bad, and the best day in the world, well we just need to realize how many of those each of us has had already
I lost a childhood schoolteacher due to stage 4 lung cancer and I kept in touch with her via email until I heard that she died in January of this year.
There's a type of meditation that Buddhist monks do - maraṇasati - where they'll sit and just contemplate the fact that eventually they will die. It could be a year from now, twenty years, or later this afternoon, but at some point their life will end. People spend so much time pushing that idea away because it makes them sad or afraid, but the monks believe that practicing being aware of the fact makes them treasure the time they have left, even, or perhaps especially, the "simple" things like a good meal or a walk through trees. Rather than making them feel despair, it creates a feeling of urgent attention; to not let anything be unnoticed; to appreciate each moment, each breath.
Hank Azaria was so good. He is mostly known as a comedian, especially with him doing the voices on the Simpsons, but he was so good as Mitch. Very underrated actor. Im surprised this didnt catapault him into more great performances like this.
Before I watched this movie, i was like ''this movie is going to be boring''.
i was wrong. After i watched this movie, i cried like a baby.
Same happened to me.
Tuesdays with Morrie? Pssh sounds gay (I was in high school)

His quote in the book. “You talk, and I’ll listen” really broke me as well. 🥺😢
The books is much more moving and meaningful. A must read
I've found that most books are better than their movie counterparts. Your mind's eye and your imagination are far greater than Hollywood's.
@@calebcastine1800 That's true, but I only think that's because the books take hours to read and need to be condensed into a 1 1/2 - 2 hours of movie.
Rip Morrie You will be missed

This was a very good book, i did not know there was a movie to this book.
