Anther great vid Matt. I used to spend a lot of time in the Lakes, now live 6 hours away........your films remind me what I am missing. Time for a holiday 😁
Hi Matt - we love your vids as are doing the same Wainwright Walks - 90 done. We’ve done Silver How - if we went direct to Blea Rigg would we miss the boggy stuff? Thanks!
Thank you mate, 90 nice 👌 potentially you might but can't say for sure, ide just go for it and see what happens 👍 I've done the route a couple of times but the same way and to be fair it's a decent route
Did you go up Easy Gully or South Rake? Couldn't tell, Easy Gully is really steep and has a big chockstone jammed on it, is the chockstone still there?
As far as we could see on the GPS thats the way it was sending us and the route was steep, Could be wrong though mate, I wasnt paying that much attention tbh apart from getting up safe lol 😂
Is was a brilliant walk mate, To be fair the 3 of who went are fit people and it was a tough walk, once you get to harrison stickle you have to descent about 150m then re ascend a couple of times, it got a bit tedious towards the end, have a little look at the video when It goes up in a couple of hours, you could always cut it a bit short but definitely go up Pavey Ark, the views are unreal 🤙🤙
For some reason the mention of Grasmere makes it sound easy, but mate it's not. It's straight up not an easy doo this one, dunno...might just have been me - haven't been hitting the lakes like I did before but I really found this one a grueller. High Raise was a f*cker for some reason even though it was just a grassy incline. Anyway, all best lad.
I agree mate it's a one of the harder Wainwright bagging routes just due to the fact of how long it is and when your coming to the last few you've been out.for hours, I've done it twice and both times was knackered at the end

I was thinking about doing this route tomorrow but cautious of taking a few newbies on this mileage and descent. What was it like
