Fantastic! Love the Langdales and you’ve done them justice. Not sure how I’d feel about so many wild campers with tents still up at 8.30-9am but I suppose it was a bank holiday. Keep em coming Glenn 👍👍👍

I watched this video a couple of months back. Yesterday I got to see the sheer beauty with my own eyes. Admittedly I went off piste a couple of times between Harrison, pike o stickle and loft crag because of the snow up there. It was hellish cold -1 with a horrible windchill top of pavey ark. Easily my favourite hike to date in the Lakes. Can’t even begin to imagine how much better it would be during the summer months.

These videos have been helpful as I go through some health issues. They've inspired me to conquer my longstanding fear of flying and walk some of these same paths in the future if I'm lucky enough to get healthy again. Thanks for the inspiration and the calming content. The whole family loves you and this channel.

If you're heading from Sergeant Man to the descent route between Harrison Stickle and Pavey Ark, you go via Thunacar Knott - which is why it's significant for the hiker.

Did this walk over the weekend, even though we had the route planned on the os map we had with us, it was great to be able to show the Mrs a video of what the route over to loft crag was like as she didn't fancy the route across thorn crag as it has the sheer drops into dungeon gyhll. So just wanted to say a big thanks for producing these videos, such a fantastic help getting a first person view of the lay of the land, you can't always tell what it's like from the map when planning it at home.

One of my favourite parts of the Lakes. So dramatic and you feel very cut off from civilization. The last time I was up there the weather closed in as I was on Harrison Stickle. Visibility was poor and things were sketchy but managed to make it to the dramatic Pike of Stickle. The weather didn't improve so had to make a fast descent back to Old Dungeon Ghyll.
Absolutely exquisite area. It really is a special place.
Heading back to the Lakes in s a couple of weeks. Cannot wait 😊
Keep up the good work. Your videos are such a source of joy.

    Wonderful 👌
Did the Langdale Pikes for the first time myself this year. Amazing, especially Jack's Rake; glad you're planning a video for that 😁
The view of Gimmer Crag and the valley from Pike O'Stickle blew me away. Dropped down onto a ledge overlooking the valley out of the wind and I had the whole of the Lake District to myself for a glorious half an hour 🙏
Looking forward to Silver How - Loughrigg Fell next week...

I followed the falls up to Stickle Tarn and it was quite pretty. Pavey Ark is brilliant, especially Jack's Rake. Only thing that let's this place down is the amount crap people leave about. More so over the last few years as its got more popular. Loft Crag was a highlight for me, you can see where it was mined for Green Stone.

Terrific video, as always and particularly timely as I was in the Langdale valley intending to 'do' the Pikes again this week and followed your route. I'd forgotten completely that cut across from Pike How (Brown Cow) to Stickle Tarn - I've used it before to get at the Blea Rigg ridge, heading for Grasmere once years ago. A cunning access and a really good descent too from the Pikes and a lot easier than some ways down. So thanks for the reminder! And I apologise for being that random woman accosting you in the shop at the Langdale campsite this morning while you were getting your breakfast! I was trying to be quiet as there were loads of people about but felt moved to say how much I enjoy the channel.

@@BlackCrag I didn't want to bother you. Besides that butty would have gotten cold and that would have been a crime! I really hope it all works out for you and you're able to switch to full time, as you deserve to, with all the effort you put in. You have such a good mix of different videos and so well paced - from the practical informative stuff like the route map (even people like me who know the Lakes well can be reminded of new routes they haven't tried), to the route finding along the way, to the scenery and superb filming, to Finn (of course!) nd the wafflage, which is just like going for a walk and a natter. A great mix.
