I started running back in the extremely cold winter of '71 , and quiet running clubs, and competition completely in the summer of 1980, it was sheer madness pushing young boys to run at speeds of 18- 20 km/hour,a extremely bad idiology, i thought for your body?? Started to enjoy running again with the ""New rage"" of slow jogging back then ! And it fits with my Taoist principals of leaving your ego behind and goin at a more "natural" pace ☯️! One piece of advice,if i may🙏 My friends from back in the beginning, either died in competitions still running fast for clubs in their 50's,of heart attacks ? Or stopped completely either because hip replacements!!, back and spinal , knees and ankle problems!! You only get one body, and it has to do for this circle of your life , Thank you for reading , And greetings from crowded Belgium.🙏
I am 55 with no knee cartilage and I shuffle like in this video doing 15 minute miles. I can only do 2 mi but that keeps my knees somewhat limber and I can take the stairs and tolerate the mild pain. If I don't Shuffle do my exercises it's very painful for me to walk up the stairs. I know it's counterintuitive but you got to keep the joints moving.
Just came across this slow jogging, love the idea of it, has now given me something to do for my legs, use to run, have since not being able to do so, thank you Mr trainer for given me back the courage to do so, happy training to all,

That’s NOT that slow ! My brisk walk is not that fast and if I go faster I get too much pain so I’m not convinced. Need follow up studies to see side effects positive or negative.
The jogging is great but the breathing in waste air and CO2 threw a mask will kill them faster than being out of shape. You need oxygen when working out. I never wear masks and never sick.
Actually it does make sense. When you are breathing heavy doing aerobic activity, very small beads of bodily fluids will leak out of your mouth and your nose. They will fly into the air, And if you are nearby, you will probably breathe them in. And if you believe that wearing a mask restricts your breathing, that has been proven to be false.

Wow, thank you , I am 57 and started this slow running six months ago and now running 10k three times at pace of 6 minutes!! 👏👍🏻🏃🏽♂️🫀🫁
Can you share your Heart rate variations while you progressed from slow jogging to Pace of 6?
I won the last Olympic games after slow running for one month
I jog so slow I go backwards

How many minutes a5 a time?
It's good as it doesn't injure the knees in the long term.
Need to do this on regular basis. Walking is being done on regular basis but not slow jogging.
i love the idea.
