    I've tried getting into running many times over the years -- and always giving up within weeks. I started slow jogging in 2019 and two and a half years later I'm still at it.

      So u haven't been able to run like a beast even after 2 years , then what is the use of it. Does it work as running for fat loss?

      @@s1ddart Clearly you missed the point of 'Slow' jogging

      @@s1ddartdefinitely would work for fat loss but walking would do the same trick. While I think it's a great way to start, to get the full benefits for cardiovascular health, you need to get the heart rate up, and slow jogging or walking won't do that. But it's great to improve technique and lose weight, then you can work on getting the cadence up (to about 180) and get faster. The problem I found with running to lose weight is that your heart will adapt much faster than the muscles and tendons, so it will become more difficult to reach optimum heart rate with moving too slow.
      I think a low impact sport like swimming or using an elliptical would probably be even better than running for cardiovascular health but running is cheap and fun. No entrance fees to a gym, just spend 80 bucks on last year's best daily trainer and get out of the door. That's what I like about it.

    Highly recommend slow jogging for seniors like myself with intervals of 10 min walking and 10 min slow jogging whatever makes you comfortable I’m to old for higher pace running

    I have such a big problem with running slowly. I’m in a constant race between myself or whoever unfortunate person may be running in front of me. Yesterday I ran at an 11:00 min/mile pace and felt like I was walking. I am basically required to run for my job and I understand the benefits on heart rate and lower impact, so I’m trying to make it work, but it’s so impressive to be able to sustain such a slow pace for any amount of time. Almost as impressive to me as running fast times lol

    I saw a slow jogging video where the tempo was 180 steps per minutes. That's a high number to achieve.

      It is. I'm also no expert, but a runner of about 3 years -- running about 20-30 miles a week. Slow jogging helped me build proper technique that carried onto full speed running (9 min/mile pace). I'm actually coming off a back injury, so when returning to running means I'll be starting back with slow jogging. It's a great tool for remaining in a Zone 2 heart rate or getting back into a faster running form later.

    • @slowjogging992

    I am 57 years old, I like slow jogging, but my problem is if I do slow jogging in 180 bpm , my Heart Rate will increase until Anaerobik Zone ( Zone 4 ) sometimes more until Zone 5 , What should I do?

      Begin by simply walking until your heart gets used to it. Gradually, your BPM while walking should get lower. When that happens, increase your speed slightly.

      We can usually recommend slow jogging to everyone who is fit enough to walk. If you are worried about your knee, you can start ith step exercise: th-cam.com/video/E9Jl5JIqNrE/w-d-xo.html or th-cam.com/video/MqK3MKJ_4qQ/w-d-xo.html

    what makes this better than just walking?

    • @keneticchannel
      @keneticchannel 9 หลายเดือนก่อน +6

      Midfoot landing, supporting your body weight directly under your pelvis rather than braking forces in front of you. That and it is slightly more aerobic, with an elevated heart rate that is still sustainable for most people.
