all 3 methods i applied but problem still same. in a folder all thumbnails not hidden some are showing and some are missing. if i open in photos app in window 10 once all thumbnail will start showing after refresh but next day situation is same

Also you could try to go to properties of picture then you should go to "open with " and click ok if you have already selected
"Photo" it worked for me

Tried everything, found out I was just to low on drive space so I deleted something. Now it works.

ALWAYS CHECK YOUR C DRIVE HAS ENOUGH SPACE, I HAD TO UNINSTALL SOME PROGRAMS FOR THESE FIX'S TO WORK! Just sayin
2023 some new image viewer came out and messed up all the options for picture viewing thanks for the video

hey guys also make sure that C driver have some enough space that's what really worked for me i cleaned some files then thumbnailes showed

Thanks... However I was able in file explorer to preview files like SOLIDWORKS files in the preview pane before... I still cant... However in SOLIDWORKS now I can see the thumbnail of the file. So it helped some what.

Hi. Try to clean the cache in Windows 10. Follow these procedures:
- Go to "Your PC"
- Right click on "Local Disk (C:) and left click on "Properties"
- Click on "Disk Cleanup"
- Scroll down in the box and check "Thumbnails" and then click Ok.
- Restart your PC. Look if your thumbnails generate.

If that did not work don't worry. There's a great alternative for that. There are 2 different free programs that help generating thumbnails. I use both but I recommend you to try them one by one.
- First one is called: "Media Preview Configuration".
- Second one is called: "SageThumbs" (64X)
Both are free. Start with Media Preview Configuration. Once in the program, go on the tab: Images Formats and check all the boxes.. Then click on Apply.. Watch the magic trick. Restart your computer ( when trying to fix thumbnails problems it's important to restart the computer after every change we do)
Please tell me if that fixed your problem.
@@nexus-6392 thank you! the 'media preview configuration' at least works on my computer. Unfortunately it still doesn't work when I connect my google pixel pro 6 to my pc :( But I'm happy that i can already see some thumbnails! thank you!
