I have the black version of this watch and got lucky with how the bracelet fits. It is so comfortable. It's an elegant, simple, timeless design for a "sports" watch.
@@Man92mleo Mine is 6 3/4 inch wrist. I got mine from a seller on ebay but I see it for sale at sakurawatches for 415$ which is best price I have seen so far
I have a black dial version, this watch was introduced over a year ago and went completely under the radar like most of the Japanese market only models, not sure why they don't sell it in the west because in its price range it easily beats everything else on the market. I have a SARB033 as well, those are different watches, Citizen wears a bit bigger and in my opinion it's a better watch overall, better movement and bracelet, but SARB is still a very special piece.
Great review! I'm gonna pick one of these up soon; been on my radar for a while. The rotor spins fast because it only winds in one direction, in the other direction it spins freely.
The rotor free spins because the rotor only actually winds the mainspring in one direction, unlike Seiko that does it in both directions. It doesn't really bother me but some people dislike that. Thanks for the review, I see these have dropped below $400 from some retailers which is a great price for the specs, and I love the 38mm size!
That is a real stunner, bit annoying with the 19mm but not a deal breaker when the watch is this stunning. The movement is awesome too for the price point. This could be a really winning dress/everyday watch. Nice work with the review and to citizen as well.
I think this competes with the higher end Presages that use the 6r movement. I have a limited edition Presage and a limited edition Alpinist and it looks to be of similar quality to those. I really wish it had a signed crown though.
Yeah, signed crown was a miss on Citizens part. The modern 6R movements are 70 hr power reserve so I think they are a class above this Citizen movement
This is straight up a Rolex Oyster Perpetual Datejust style. Same design format even Tag Heuer Calibre 5 Date, and many other brands use. But Citizen finally made it at a respectable price.
I only found out about this watch today and I might actually have to get it. This is the shape (OP Date style) I always liked. Much cheaper than the next option I was looking at (Tag Heuer Calibre 5 date), and will probably feel better than the Seiko 5 sport with no bezel. Bought a Rolex OP Date once and sold out it, so I need to fill that void.
I have never owned a Rolex but I would guess that in looks, one could say it's similar but in construction I would say Rolex would be much better. It wouldn't be fair to compare a Citizen to Rolex though
It is less common so people likely wont be able to use an existing strap since most will be 18,20,22mm. If buying new, you are correct, 19mm not hard to find
Nice review video and thanks for covering a model that's not very well known. I'd like to make one minor vocabulary correction that may save some embarrassment in some cases, though. The singular of "indices" is not "indice" (or however you would spell what you pronounce as "indicy"). It's "index".
No. I got mine from this ebay seller though www.ebay.com/itm/275066935379. Sakura watches looks to be cheapest however. I have purchased from them before and very good experience www.sakurawatches.com/citizen-collection-nb1050-59l
I translated your comment. I don't know how good of a translation job google did though lol. I'm not sure about the old citizen logo you speak of but it would be great if Citizen adopted the eagle logo for all their watches, not just the high end "The Citizen" model
I like the simple elegance of this watch
I think it will become more well known soon

Yes - can't go wrong with classic black dial !
What is your wrist size? And where did you buy it from?

I have the white, killer watch, fit and finish punch way above it's weight. Don't worry about the 19 mm bracelet, it's excellent
For sure ! I just did a video comparing this to the popular Citizen Tsuyosa automatic th-cam.com/video/F8d3-pQud_s/w-d-xo.html
Great video! I just picked up this watch and this video was a big factor. Thank you!
Glad I could assist! I can't tell you how many watches I have purchased due to seeing them on youtube 😅

You should check out my latest video where I finally compare the two - th-cam.com/video/ZmA7hoeerHw/w-d-xo.html

I didn't know that - thanks!

Yeah, I later learned that about the rotor. Below 400$ is a great price for what you are getting.

@@watchify1775 yes, I wish it had a longer power reserve. I do like that the moment is hi-beat though.

Good timing. This watch much cheaper to buy now than when I got mine
Very beautiful time piece
They should bring to U.S.
How would it compare to the Rolex oyster perpetual or datejust? Looks pretty similar imo.

Just ordered it. Fabolous looking watch
Love the watch but the bracelet leaves a lot to be desired. Swapped it for a strap and really like that combo.
I haven't tried it on a strap yet but I'm sure it would look great 👍
Good vid!
Why. is 19mm a problem Don't get it? Wideeeee of variatons for leather and nato straps?

Lovely clean diall. Great value for money
