Great review. What I like the most about this review is the attention you paid to the size and wearing experience. As an online buyer I want to know these things foremost. I appreciate the extra wrist shots at the end too.
Thank you! 😁 I’m glad it helped. I just think that all of us watch lovers check how it looks on the wrist 1st before anything else. That’s why i try to focus on it.
I have to say that I watched this video many times before buying the watch, at first I liked the blue one but the silver one later won its place. This can be your only watch and you would be very happy, since I put it on I have not taken it off, very comfortable on the wrist, it only gains less than two seconds per day, the dial is silver although very close to white, it feels like a much higher priced watch and it looks fantastic, my wife wants one hehe we already had our eye on the gray one that came out this year.
I agree, it is such a great watch! And i’ve actually recently tried it on a leather strap! It’s even more awesome, if you want, check out the video that i made about it. It’s so good! I think it looks so much better on a leather strap! Sure your wife will love it even more. You have to get another one now! 😂
Thanks a lot. You’ve cleared up some of the questions I had about this glorious timepiece and the addition of the awesome wrist shots took it home for me. The most important thing is… I now know where/ how to get mine. Blue dial for me!! I’m not gonna be sleeping much!!
This is my daily wearer. Work, gym, out, in. About +7 seconds a day. It's quite a tough watch. Bracelet is not perfection, but at this price point what is? A robust mens watch that for function and value, took me out of the Swiss/German game.
Great review man. Really appreciate all the wrist shots, especially those at the end. Too few watch channels understand how helpful that is in showing us how it really wears.
Thanks,Lefroy. Even i, look for those kinds of wrist shots when i check out watches on youtube. If you’re planning to get the watch, check it out in a leather strap. So much better!

I'm so glad I found this video! All those wrist shots are a big help, as I've also got a 6.5" wrist. It looks great on you. This is how a good watch video is done. I've seen videos where the presenter had round 6.75"-7" wrists and the watch looked huge, but just like you I have flat wrists so it should fit fine on me too.

Great watch and amazing that you compared it to a 213. I have a 143 myself and thinking to add a white dial 1050 to my collection. Also having small wrists (16.5 or so), but I can pull the 143 nicely, so this one shud work well too.
I have this watch, with many others. Yes, the lug to lug is longer than usual (but is it really?) but it still is proportional and wears really well on my small 6.25" wrist. I don't think the lug to lug is an issue at all and wears even better with a strap.
Thank you for the measurements. I saw a new one at $305 and was about to pull the trigger until you showed lug to lug is 51mm which is huge. For a 38mm diameter case, lug to lug should not be more than 48mm unless you have huge wrists. Citizen seems to have issues with downsizing their lug to lug sizes.
I have a 6.25-6.5+ wrist (depending on salt and hydration, lol) and I have been collecting for over 20 years watches that are interesting, has depths, and beautiful. Within my moderate size collection of 40+, ranging from high school Casio’s to holly trinity’s, this watch has gotten a disproportionate amount of wrist time. Something about it catches my eyes like the Grand Seiko’s, yet so simple. I thought it would be a return because of the lug length, but it turns out that the lug length actually gave it proportion, presence, and beauty. Once on, it feels right and is quite eye catching. I rotate 4-5 of my watches every week but this one kept staying on for weeks at a time. Get it. You won’t regret it.
I wrote a comment one month before (worry about the lug to lug size) But finally I still bought it from internet as I am impressed by many TH-cam review 😁 I just bought this blue dial from internet (just arrived two days), The accuracy is quite good. I was wearing it for two days and it ran 20 seconds faster. I really love the sunburst blue dial and the shiny indexes that I could not find the same other watch with this reasonable price. The actual lug to lug is 51.7mm that I barely can't wear it because my wrist only 6 inches. 🤣😅😅 I think my wrist is the minimum size to wear this type of case. 😛

I recently purchased two of the cheapest watches from Seiko (7S36) and Citizen (8210) both NOS, and the Citizen is a better movement. Good review. Just one thing - I know this comes down to personal preference, but it seems your bracelet is lopsided! I would take one link off the 6 o'clock side and place it on to the 12 o'clock side to balance it out better. Usually the 6 o'clock side, if it comes down to it, should err on the side of being slightly shorter than the 12 o'clock side. A stunning watch, no doubt!
Loving this watch! I'm leaning more towards the black dial though. I have the same wrist size as you, so I really appreciate the multiple wrist shots for better perspective. I think this Citizen is a great alternative and maybe better value than a Seiko SARB, some microbrands like Traska Commuter or even a Tissot Gentleman IMO. Love the 38mm size, for me, and just wish the clasp was better and had female end links, but overall it's a great alternative and good value! I'm also intrigued about that Duratect coating. How is it holding? Is it as scratch resistant as they advertise it?

I own kind of the ultra budget version of this which is the Seiko 5 SNXS73 on an aftermarket oyster bracelet.
@@Bonpu i like that seiko 5, i’ve looked at getting the snxs79 before. And hey, thanks for mentioning the traska, i had no idea about it. It’s a nice alternative! Something to look at and maybe try. I bought this citizen watch at seiyajapan online shop, give it a look, i can vouch for the owner. :)
Where did you purchase?
www.seiyajapan.com
i’ve already bought 3 watches here.
@@gullie9004 thank you very much sir
would this suit a 6 inch wrist?
In my opinion,No. The only time it will fit a 6” wrist is if you ignore the size and just really like the watch.
@@gullie9004 aw :( Would changing the strap to a thin leather one help?
@@zeussatrid7126 hmm, haven’t tried that. But the problem is the lug to lug size. You know what, let me quickly put a leather strap and show you what it looks like. Have you got an ig i can send the photo to?
@@gullie9004 thanks a lot, no i dont have instagram ;/ What about imgur perhaps? And maybe you could measure the end to end with the leather compared to the steel bracelet? thanks
@@zeussatrid7126 i’ve got a picture of it on a strap, i have to say, it actually sits better on the wrist. :) i’ll put it up as a story, just check it out.
Silver or white dial?
White 🙂
Is it saphire?
It is, Sapphire with anti-reflective coating. :)
Часы класс.
У меня такие.
Yeah but in Russia unless you have a friend with a foreign bank account... You'll be buying them for double or even triple the price off Avito.
Wy not in 41!??
Wachu mean?
I like it! Can I have it?
Sure, but only if you can get it in person! 😂
