Always nice to hear "NÜRNBERG" and "ADD THEM TO THE LIST" in one sentence. Nothing to worry here, we promise. It just the crazy guy writing people on lists
Starting as Kale and attempting the Eat Your Greens achievement is something I think would suit your aggressive playstyle. The entire achievement run is pretty much non-stop expansion.
I have already rambled one comment, but- you are literally one city please press expand infrastructure button. It gives you -5% dev-cost, 5% defensiveness, +1 building slot and +1 manufactory limit per 15 dev (among other 5% bonuses such as manpower, production, taxes, sailors, etc)! If governing capacity is never going to be an issue (since it has a hefty gov cost price) and you're not forming another nation (paradox plz fix the infrastructure destruction bug) then it is basically always a good choice. Granted, this is a fairly rare situation, but One-Province/One-State challenge is definitely that situation.
One of my favorite things to do, especially in the late game, is to ally people, charter trade companies, release a trade city, and then invite them to my trade league. This takes away all of the negative charter company modifiers from being too powerful in the area, meaning you can just completely border gore the world's coastlines with OPMs.
I am both annoyed and happy about this idea. happy because it's an idea I had for a while annoyed because I tried this playtrough so many times it annoys me to see people not do it 'optimally'. btw. west OPM's to do it as are Hamburg or if custom nations allowed Free City in Brabant
Ideas are somewhat important, but Lubeck will be absolutely insane (as if its mission tree wasn't amazing already) with the new mission tree and Hanseatic league. One little-known feature of trade cities is releasing/creating other custom trade cities, which automatically join your trade league when created. So, basically, conquer, release, trade league, profit, repeat!
Since you mentioned low-rebel playstyles being a potential draw (to cowards)- have you ever played in the Southern Africa subcontinent? Fetishist states in Madagascar or Southern Africa proper have access to the Waaq and Mlira cults respectively, which in turn are -2 Unrest and -2 True Faith Tolerance. These in turn can be doubled via the Singular Cult estate privilege, which also eliminates the stability penalty on monarch death, and the Mlira cult can spend 50 mana to have -2 Unrest for the lifespan of your ruler. Combine with Humanist and/or Religious, as well as the Encourage Divinations decision for another permanent -1 Unrest, and you can stack some pretty massive reductions to provincial unrest! I'm currently playing a Buganda into Kitara run that's going pretty well so far using such a strategy; Kitara + Mlira + Religious naturally plays into a expansive-tall playstyle, stacking modifiers like culture conversion + religious culture, parliamentary seats, and devving the first few institutions to get some pretty nice province buffs. There's two major slow points, that being 'consolidate the Kongo' once you've united Kitara, 'consolidate Zanzibar' once you've broken the back of Kilwa/Mutapa, and 'wait for gov cap/colonisers' so you can reach the Horn to get trade up and fight Spain or somebody in the Cape respectively. Unless you want to play into the Age of Absolutism or get the Victorian Three achievement I wouldn't recommend following the same game, but there's other powers that might have more fun goals. One of the nations closer to Zanzibar is likely the best option, since they'll have enough gov-cap not burned by the Lakes or Kongo to fight powerful Horn nations like Ethiopia (and then Mamluks and/or Ottomans) after they beat Kilwa. Butua has -1 Unrest and starts as a vassal to Mutapa (plus it has a really cool flag), Betsimisaraka and Imerina both have -1 Unrest and can fight Kilwa once they've consolidated Madagascar, and Mutapa is a chunkier nation for a faster start. Anyway this is probably significantly more rambling about EU4 Southern Africa than you were expecting to read but funny unrest-reduction cults go brr.
If you want a game with no rebels you need to play pirates. Stack the -5 years of separatism that comes from war against the world with humanist ideas, and the policy from having humanist and offensive. -15 years or separatism means there's basically no unrest after you conquer something.
You should DEFINITELY play them again when the new patch drops, because they'll get new ideas, a new naval doctrine, and a new mission tree, AND estates.
Hello, great videos that you are making. Perhaps I may propose a video idea? I think it could be a really interesting video if you play a nation like England or so and play really historical. What I mean is that you conquer the provinces in the order like the country did it in real live. Perhaps it also could be interesting if you try to take the provinces at around the year the country did it irl but I don’t know I think that might be too sweaty. Anyways always great videos have a nice day
I like the idea of this, but I would change it to just the state Lübeck starts in, so there could of been a small amount of expansion just to satisfy the conqueror that Laith is
Shall I do more challenges like this?
Download Kingdom Maker on iOS & Android and start ruling today: pixly.go2cloud.org/SH3JN
yes you should
Don't forget that expand infrastructure is a feature.
Where is the ulm meet up?
Laith, Kinda Curious, with Tunisia's Plebiscite, are you going to be voting on that?
Always nice to hear "NÜRNBERG" and "ADD THEM TO THE LIST" in one sentence. Nothing to worry here, we promise. It just the crazy guy writing people on lists

It's like you want him to suffer. Good idea!
Agreed
Horror of horrors, Laith is playing… *tall*
Nice pfp

Will be good for Riga next patch as well probably

should wait with this until next DLC where Lubeck gets even bigger mission tree
Kind off late now
Playing Tall is just edging. Eventually you bust out and conquer, the longer you hold out the stronger you are.
😐📸
Laith: I haven’t played Lubeck in years
Me having watched his 1066 ck3 Lubeck video: checks out
I am both annoyed and happy about this idea. happy because it's an idea I had for a while annoyed because I tried this playtrough so many times it annoys me to see people not do it 'optimally'.

Goslar has great ideas also

I Absolutely Love this kinds of videos that include playing tall and acquiring power in unique ways that aren't just expansion.
13:51 ugh that border wy didnt you give altmark to luneburg 😒
Now you're a one province major.

Laith literally creating a book of grudges
Instead of playing tall, you should play short, OPM 3 dev, no expansion, no deving, absolutely amazing gameplay right there lol
I'am amazed by this channel keep it up !
This was a fun video, definitely a change of pace
Mate, I was screaming when you didn't take Norway vassal (who is likely to colonize!) and/or release gotland. Nice playthrough otherwiise!
You should try playing tall with a horde, very funny ^^.
Good video by the ways ;)
EU4 as a one city challenge? And not on 1.31.x?
this idea is actually really fun. i watched red hawks vid a while back and it was really entertaining
You should DEFINITELY play them again when the new patch drops, because they'll get new ideas, a new naval doctrine, and a new mission tree, AND estates.
Keep posting these videos man. It's been a blast watching you.
You should do a mega campaign it would be really cool to watch
I did this with Goslar recently, trying to steal development from vassals but it stopped working because I had too much dev myself
You got that overthrow the syndic event cuz one of your merchant republic "estates" had way too much influence
Nice thumbnail
Laiths becoming Santa he already has a naughty list 🤣
ooh this is fun. i would love to see this campaign continued! might try a hansa game myself
is the audio a bit scuffed or am i going crazy

I like the idea of order but taking them at the year the country did would make the game so slow
I think its hilarious you decided to play this nation before the dlc dedicated to that region. Lubeck being the biggest winner.
Fun stuff from the fromer hansa, but you should play some more ck3 soon.
Got here 28s and 1 view in. That made my day.
I like the idea of this, but I would change it to just the state Lübeck starts in, so there could of been a small amount of expansion just to satisfy the conqueror that Laith is
Laith discovers the perks of playing tall the video and the series (hopefully)
saw the thumbnail and i knew instantly this has got to be the greatest joke one yet
NICE SHIRT
"Union of States" is a bit more like Union of State. Or maybe even less.
holy shit, it worked, thanks
Did you make sure to have your underlings be Marches since you aren't going to annex them?
Day 1 of asking the social streamers to do a Sapmi campaign
I see Lübeck in the New World.
Now every time I watch a Laith video, I think "What will end up on the clips channel now?"
cant believe I saw a laith video uploaded when it was at 1 view
Audio quality sounds a bit off
15:22 I think we know what navel research is wrong here.
When are you going to Ulm?
You should have made some trade cities!
Did something change with your audio setup? Your voice sounds sounds like theres more of a high end on this vid
Hey editor here: It's nothing because of a different set up Laith just spoke louder at the end. Don't question it
Neat, it looks like you got some inspiration from Quarbit
I feel like this would have been better as Glosar but great vid
I really wanted to try this as a black market consortium Rügen, but it seems i cannot...
eu4 but you always have a 0-0-0 ruler
Ulm meet-up when?
Soooo soon
Greetings from Lübeck :) best city in the world!
Galleys fight better in straights than heavy ships
He had a problem with force limit as an one province minor. His limiting factor was force limit, not upfront cost.
Maybe Laith doesn’t like playing tall because he’s like 5 foot 4 or 163cm.
Ulm.
Vic 2 when?
Moar one province minor gameplay
control asia with 1 province lol
That’s NOICE
what happened to the audio my man
When will you pay Vic 2
Hi! Pls try playing stellaris 😁😁
Where is Tom?!
Only plating tall.
i just declined pu over france as austria against provence and now provence have pu over france, not me ;(
Playing tall is better then playing wide based cope
mfs playing tall staring at their screen devving and constructing buildings they wont have any use for
What's with the sound tho?
Lubeck Strong
kinda tall if you ask me🤨
form germany as ULM
Play Rostov now
Don't you hate playing tall?
