How to play "From Now On" from The Greatest Showman. This is my favorite song from this movie, I think. So many good songs to choose from!
About these videos: I have loved lights since I was a little kid, and have loved piano almost as long. When I saw Patrik Pietschmann's and Rousseau's videos, I was really impressed with how they combined light and sound to make a really neat experience. So, I talked to some people and googled lots of things until I was able to build my own LED strip for my keyboard. I figured out how to film it, found the SeeMusic app that makes the falling notes appear, and started making my own LED visualizer piano music. Feel free to use the videos as tutorials to learn how to play my arrangements!

Listening to this almost a year after I graduated high school and crying. My ASL class did a performance where we signed to certain songs. This one the seniors got to sign to.
I cry every time I hear it now. My friend just sent this to me, knowing it would destroy me. 😂
Thank you so much to the creator. ❤
You are very welcome. Music is great for connecting people across time and distance, and it means a lot to me that you enjoyed this. Take care!
I just discovered this channel. Amazing work!
Sad to see that nothing has been posted for a while..
you are really underrated. This is great.
Thank you for the encouragement! I have a lot of fun making these videos and arrangements. Maybe one day I'll have thousands of subscribers and this channel can bring in some extra income. But if not, it's still a lot of fun!

What a great cover my friend. You would have the sheet music.
Beautiful❤️ Have you got the sheets?😍
Thanks! No, I haven't had time to transcribe it into sheet music yet. To be honest, things have been really hectic so I haven't had time to do anything on the channel lately. Eventually I'll get it done, I just don't know when. 😁
Done finally! www.musicnotes.com/l/hDtMw

Am I the only one wondering he did that recording with the effects haha
Amazing ❤
Once again, so beautiful! I just started my own piano music channel so I definitely appreciate what you're doing here. Do you prefer to play by ear or with sheet music?
I'll check out your channel! I definitely, definitely prefer to play by ear. What about you?
@@ListenBrightPiano Thank you! Oh, how awesome - same here! While I can read sheet music, it is the joy of my life to play by ear 😃

Hey!! By any chance do you have the sheet of music? Loved the cover btw!
Should be available soon. I hope, anyway!
I am so sorry it took so long, but it is finally done! www.musicnotes.com/l/hDtMw
Hey when can we get these sheets. I'm craving this piece
Thanks for your patience! Hopefully, very very soon. I have finished the sheet music and sent it to MusicNotes for them to make sure I can legally distribute it. I hope to hear from them any day. As soon as I do, I’ll get the link up!
Thanks for your patience! www.musicnotes.com/l/hDtMw
How did you build your led visualizer? Will you be able to tell me the exact hardwares and softwares needed? Like did you connect it to arduino or raspberry pi? I would like to do this also, but there’s lots of information when I google it. Not sure which one to follow, I don’t want to buy unnecessary or wrong equipments
Good question. I used a tutorial at lights4music.com about using midi to run an LED strip. It's connected to a teensy running Arduino. I used an APA 108 led ribbon with 144 LEDs per meter, which works out to about 2 LEDs per key on a piano. I had to solder 2 strips together. So you'll need a good soldering iron because the contacts are tiny. I'll try to get some free time in the next couple of weeks and compile a parts list.
Listen Bright - Uplifting Piano thank you, i’ll wait for the list :)
Take your time
Ok, the list is below Disclaimer: anyone who takes on this project does so at their own risk. This is a homemade electrical device, and I am simply sharing a list of the parts I used to make mine. I may not be much help if you build it and it doesn't work, because I am definitely not an expert. That said, I followed the instructions listed on lights4music.com and it has worked wonderfully for me. Have fun!
Parts list for LED strip for digital piano with midi capabilities.
I followed the instructions from lights4music.com, and I emailed the owner of that site when I would get stuck. He was supremely helpful. That tutorial is here: lights4music.com/instructions2.html.
Note: the Arduino software that is on the above website is designed to make 1 LED light up for every midi note. Using the 144leds per meter strips listed below, you need 2 adjacent LEDs to light up for each midi note. I had to ask the owner of the website if he would alter the program for me. He did, and it works wonderfully. He probably still has that particular code saved, so he can help you with that.
Disclaimer: I am not an electrical engineer. The parts list below is just a list of parts that I used, and they worked for me. I am not liable for any damage to anyone's property if they attempt to build their own LED strip for their digital piano. If you're not comfortable doing the work described on the tutorial at lights4music, stop and consult an expert.
NOTE: Because this is a homemade electrical device, I never ever leave it plugged in when unattended by an adult. It has never given me any reason to doubt it, but I still never leave it unplugged because of the risk of something shorting and causing a fire. If you use this information to construct your own device, you should need to leave it unplugged when unsupervised. I am not liable for any damage to any property or worse, loss of life, if you construct this device and it malfunctions. You take this project on at your own risk.
Parts needed:
Teensy 3.2 with pins www.pjrc.com/store/teensy32_pins.html
Teensy prop shield LC www.pjrc.com/store/prop_shield_lowcost.html
2 14 pin sockets www.pjrc.com/store/socket_14x1.html
1 USB to micro b cable www.pjrc.com/store/cable_usb_micro_b.html
1 4-pin JST SM Plug + Receptacle Cable Set www.adafruit.com/product/578
Adafruit DotStar Digital LED Strip - White 144 LED/m - One Meter - WHITE. www.adafruit.com/product/2242
Adafruit DotStar Digital LED Strip - White 144 LED/m - 0.5 Meter - WHITE. www.adafruit.com/product/2329
5V 10A switching power supply www.adafruit.com/product/658
1000uf 25v capacitor (I'm not an electrical engineer, so I'm not sure if this is the best capacitor for the system, but I used it with mine and it works fine)
Some 14 awg wire. I probably used 9 feet or so, maybe a bit more. Again, I'm not an electrical engineer, so I used the 14 gauge.
Some kind of led channel with diffuser. There are thousands of varieties. Make sure it can handle an LED strip that is 12.7mm wide if you use the dotstar strip. You can find some of my favorites at www.solidapollo.com/led-strip-profiles/
Even after I out the strip in the diffuser, the lights were still too bright, so I wrapped the whole unit in parchment paper a few times to tone down the brightness.
A digital piano
A computer (will have to be near the piano, because it will bridge between the digital piano and the LED strip).
Some way to get midi from the digital piano to the computer (USB midi cable is the easiest way for most newer digital pianos, if not then Roland's excellent UM-One interface can plug into regular midi ports on the piano and convert to USB for the computer)
Tools needed:
Soldering iron and solder
Wire cutters
Wire strippers
Electrical tape
An assortment of wire nuts
Amazing talent you have...but how do u do this editing ??? Plz say me...i liked and subscribed your all the videos and channel..plz say me how to do ??? Waiting for your reply..
Thank you so much 😀 First, you record your performance on a keyboard or digital piano that can record midi, or send midi to a computer. Then you feed that midi into a program like Synthesia or SeeMusic, and it makes the falling notes. Then you combine the videos of the fallings notes and your actual performance, and add effects. Some people also use an actual LED light bar on their piano that lights up. I made mine using instructions from here: lights4music.com/instructions2.html
Thank you SOOOO much
You are welcome! Best of luck!
@@ListenBrightPiano sure thanks
Sheets please!!!
I haven't had time to transcribe this one yet, but I will work on it. Hopefully I'll have it done within the next 2 weeks!
@@ListenBrightPianothis music is amazing. Have you done it?
@@alexskakunov9788 Not yet! It's been a rough couple of weeks, so I've barely got anything done. But I'm working on it!
I apologize, this is taking me way too long. I promise I'll get them done eventually, I just don't know when. I've just been super busy with work and family life, etc. Maybe one day this channel will be big enough I can quit work, but until then I'll just get these things done as fast as I can when I can. Thanks!
Listen Bright - Uplifting Piano hey no worries, I’ll try and write a copy of the sheet music for you. I can see the placement of the notes so it shouldn’t be too hard for me. Really appreciative of this cover ❤️
where's the sheet music?
First, I apologize. I had to take time off from this channel to take care of a whole lot of things. But the good news is that the sheet music is done, and I’m just checking with MusicNotes to make sure we can legally distribute it. Hopefully very very soon!
It's here! Really sorry about the wait. www.musicnotes.com/l/hDtMw
