There was a bowling green, shooting gallery and many other attractions. You could get a boat to there from Victoria arches (near Manchester Cathedral). If you want to know more about Pomona island, check out Martin Zero's video on TH-cam. Martin has loads of videos online (mainly, but not only, about Manchester history). They're really interesting and he's a cool guy. Check em out. Also, can anybody tell me what make and model that red bass guitar is that Ian plays at about 3:56 mins into the video? It's gorgeous! I've paused the video to try and read the logo on it but I can't make it out. Peace, Wes.
Hell yeah of heck yeah!
@@loop5720 Y to the E to the A to the H, spells YEAH!!! peace Bro! Wes.
It's an Italia Marenello guitar. Made in Korea. Chris Rhea is an advocate of them.
@@andrewhaines3259 Hey Andrew, thanks for the info mate. Funny you should mention Chris Rhea as I was talking about him just today. I was unloading a truck at work and the truck driver was singing Driving home for Christmas by Chris Rhea. I recognised it and said to the driver "Chris Rhea's brother nearly blinded me once" he said "really?" I said "Yeah. His name's Nick and he's a stage/tour manager. I was working on a Pogues gig with him at Manchester Apollo and he threw a ball of gaffer tape at me (just messing about) but it hit me right in the eye and really fucking hurt! I couldn't see out of that eye for about 20 minutes! He said sorry so I forgave him. He's a really nice bloke actually" That's my claim to fame anyway! Have a great Christmas Andrew. All the best, Wes.
The first part of the video is filmed in Lymm, Cheshire (where Ian lives) i know as a run down that canal daily :)
It snowed yesterday and the town n country came to a halt ....
Never heard this before, didn’t know it even existed. TH-cam just took me here after listening to F.E.A.R
This is well good, nice one
Big yawn, stretch, rub eyes...crawl out from underneath my rock. Where have I been??? Oh yeah, working the daily grind, raising kids, etc. Was an OG fan of The Stone Roses and just discovering Ian has a solo career!! Been missing out. Buying all of his albums starting with Ripples and working backward. I love your humanity and politics Ian. Don't stop.
😍🙏✨
Well done that man for freedom of speech
Own brain ...
A wanna be adored
Ok
Of conspiracy theories.
Everybody in this nation has it too so no bigee
Ian brown. You're one of the most genuinely truthful artists that has ever been out there. Peace up brother and blue skies to you always
So many years gone since he blew me out with Music Of The Spheres.
Wrinkles, gray hair, same enthusiasm.
When superior beings find this sound creation n millions of years they will spontaneously understand why we destroyed ourselves whilst breaking into a swagger dance that they didn’t realise was in them.
A Genius & A Man Utd Fan ❤️🏴👌
So glad I stumbled upon this track. absolute tune puts you in a well good mood, a very talented man. 🤙🏼
Currently waiting patiently in a raffle to win this exact bike, owned by the one and only, praying to the god of Sir Ian Brown that I win, pray for me! 🙏😂

@@ianbrown519 Big up Ian... Propa legend xx
If I ever form a country, I want this song as its' national anthem.
Too True🔥🔥
What a legend. The F.E.A.R bike is back
Its actually a brand new bike. But similar style to FEAR. The bike shop owner put up a pic of him and Ian when he bought it
The Simple Fenian It looked the same at the time but going back and researching they are not the same
@@jayweaver5287 i wasnt having a go. Just pointing out my new found knowledge🤗
The Simple Fenian son I get it
Geez. Is there any way I can add a few more thumbs up 'likes' to this vid?? I watch this too often. Too good. Big thanks, Mr. Brown.
Ian speaks the truth , always has.
Yep. He has balls this man. Did you see all the stick he got on Twitter for sticking his neck out? Not like his virtue-signaling guitarist...
@@yogijohn42 I don't go on twitter but I've heard about it , Ian's clued up about the agenda, his critics are playing into their hands.
@@martinjohnston6685 So many vitriolic slurs on the man. History will prove him right methinks ..
@@yogijohn42 it will indeed , win or lose,
Love this song can't get enough of it, F.E.A.R what a tune aswell, underrated genius!!
This man changes only visually, deep inside he's still our same Ian :)
My little girl was in her mum's belly when she first heard Ian brown at the ettihad now she is 5, this is her song she calls Ian her man. Its beautiful to see generations crossed with music. Ian if your reading can I buy that guitar? She wants me to take her to Trafford to look for it every time she sees the vid.
Appreciate an absolute legend, thanks for producing class music , and I’m living to experience your art
Top music, top lyrics, top man, was honoured to have grown up with his music, 48 now n still chilling to the roses, thank u boys
Funnily enough bumped in to him maybe a year ago whilst walking around Lymm Damn and was completely star struck.
