  • Ferrari triumphed in the 2024 Formula 1 Monaco Grand Prix, the eighth round of the World Championship. This weekend will be unforgettable for Ferrari fans, marked by a dazzling victory that Charles Leclerc eagerly sought. His attitude made the difference; when the Monegasque rode his bike to the circuit on Thursday morning for media day, he already had victory in his sights. It was a display of remarkable character strength, representing a significant step forward that propels him to a new phase in his Formula 1 career. Charles Leclerc's immense talent needs to be channeled effectively, and Ferrari team principal Frederic Vasseur is playing a crucial role in this, along with the team's new, more solid, decisive, and risk-ready approach.
To win, several elements are necessary: a competitive car, a cohesive team, and two strong drivers. Ferrari has everything needed to reach the top of motorsport. The Prancing Horse is determined, tired of playing a supporting role in Formula 1 and watching others win. The belief in their capability is strong, and the recent issues under Mattia Binotto's management, problematic in several ways, seem to have been resolved. The championship is still long, with 16 rounds remaining where anything can happen.
In the nearly 1300 kilometers covered during two days of testing for Pirelli at the Paul Ricard circuit in France, Ferrari also seized the opportunity to test the car. Every opportunity must be taken in Formula 1. Thus, the historic team conducted parallel data collection in preparation for the Canadian Grand Prix. Photos shared by Pirelli on social media show that the SF-24 number 55 was equipped with the rear wing used at the Emilia Romagna Grand Prix. This specification provides a good level of downforce while considering efficiency, crucial in Montreal, especially with the straight in the third sector of the Canadian track.
Among the various runs completed, Ferrari continued validating the updated aero package and tested a setup to adapt to the North American track's characteristics. This valuable information will be processed in the driver-in-the-loop simulator in the week leading up to the ninth round of the 2024 championship in Canada. The Maranello team is highly focused, meticulously attending to every detail. The next two races will be crucial to determine if the two SF-24 cars can make another significant leap and, ahead of schedule, compete for more than just a single race victory.
