Problem is when you play with an organized opening who your playing against knows it’s coming and can prep for the gambit. To be fair the gambit should be played fairly with the compensation Eric was trying to get two minor pieces for the queen because no one would sacrifice in the way these games were played without that caveat included. To make it more unfairly lopsided he had to sacrifice the queen by move ten which is another way this match was handicapped. Nice job Eric the fact you got to 19 points is a feat unto itself you should be very proud. Caught the video of you and Levy when you were playing the London and in the same way your hands were semi tied in that match to. Let someone else pick and opening and you take them on with free play next time!!! Nice comeback In the end great job by both players!!
Jesus christ, it's absolutely insane that you made it that close! I recently hit 2000 online rating and after easily beating stockfish on Lichess' highest setting a few times with queen odds I genuinly thought that at this point I could convert up a queen against anyone in the world. But Alex is 200 points higher than me... I guess people are much better at conceptualizing practical play in a completely lost position. Still completely blows my mind that a 2178 can be trading games equally up a queen, no matter who the oponent.

Agree, in fact, theoretically a gambit is still a gambit even if it's declined, so leaving the queen en prise is a totally legal gambit.

She's not an FM, she's a WFM, which is below master level for men. Considering that, it's not _that_ surprising that he was able to do this.
