Eric, architect here (who frequents St. Louis homes): if you're having issues silencing your HVAC, there are some liners that you can get. Also, sometimes the unit is overpressurized, which is an issue of improperly sized ducts or grilles. Try changing the grille first--even leaving it off--to test and see if it reduces the noise.

Rosen is the best guy to watch to get better! His endgame is too complex for me but I've improved my rating just watching his openings and piece development. I'm 14-1 my last 15 games!
What’s nice about watching experienced players do chess, is they can move and know how the other person will respond ~ calculation is possible. Granted when playing lower level players, they do random moves and they’re easier to beat but it’s sporadic and frazzled
